The claimed invention relates to electrical exploration by the method of electrical resistance. The primary application area is the detection and tracing of zones of tectonically fragmented water-permeable rocks, the study of karst formation processes, monitoring of the state of hydraulic structures, etc. The aim of the invention is to improve the detection of geoelectric heterogeneities in the upper part of the section. The goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of geoelectromagnetic each of the three earths located on the observation profile at equal distances from each other, three signals are measured alternately, determine the ratio of the signal measured at the central position of the second supply ground to the sum of absolute values of the signals measured at the provisions of the second supply ground, and the distribution of this relationship on the profiles and the area of observation is judged on the presence and position of geoelectric discontinuities. Within the identified anomalous areas, the measurement of the fourth signal is performed with two additional groundings located symmetrically with respect to the central one on a line perpendicular to the profile, the ratio of this signal to the same sum of the absolute values of the signals is determined; coordinates are relations obtained by measuring along the profile and perpendicular to it, and according to the plan of vectors specify the position of the heterogeneity. 3 il.
