Abstract
FIELD: quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: device has excitation system, active element which is made from crystal containing neodymium, resonator which is shaped by output semitransparent mirror and by end mirror which reflects al light for generated wavelength. Novel feature of device is production of active element from neodymium-containing crystal in which rate of section of forced transition to wavelength which is safe for eyes to section of forced transition to competing wavelength of 1.06 mcm is not less than 0.085 and not greater than 1. In addition crystal of active element contains chrome ions Crand/or Cr. Active element may be made from crystal of gadolinium-gallium garnet.
