The present invention relates to the field of astronomical instrumentation and can be used in the design of space telescopes with controlled shape of the surface of the main mirror or wavefront correction special compensators using devices controlling the wavefront of the telescope. The objective of the invention is to simplify the design of the space telescope and the improvement of its operational characteristics (the possibility of monitoring both in non-operating state and during observation). To solve this problem, two variants of the space telescope are proposed. According to the first variant, a space telescope containing the main and secondary mirrors, a guidance and guidance system, a receiving system and a system for monitoring the surface shape of the main mirror, including a point radiation source, an interferometer, an additional convex or concave mirror, installed between the center of curvature of the main mirror and the secondary mirror the telescope and the reflecting surface facing the main mirror, and the point source of radiation is located in the plane optically conjugated with the plane, the passage through the center of curvature of the main mirror. The space telescope, made according to the second variant, differs from the above construction of the telescope by the shape of the additional mirror — it is made flat, and with a lens corrector installed between the additional mirror and the interferometer. There is an option to install an additional mirror with the ability to rotate an angle of ± 90 ° around an axis perpendicular to the optical axis of the telescope.
