The invention relates to veterinary virology, namely to obtain diagnostic products. The method is as follows. The organs of mink infected with Aleutian disease (spleen, kidney, liver) are homogenized in a buffer system containing detergents, the homogenate is treated with ultrasound. The homogenate is centrifuged twice to pellet the undamaged cells. Polyethylene glycol is added to the supernatant and the mixture is kept for 4 hours at 4 ° C. The precipitated antigen is compacted by centrifugation, and the precipitate is dissolved in a minimal amount of buffer. Viral antigen from the solution is precipitated by ultracentrifugation at 300,000 g for 2 hours. The resulting viral preparation is purified from the accompanying proteins by gel chromatography on Sepharose 6B. Viral antigen has high antigenic activity and specificity.
