Изобретение относится к геофизическим исследованиям скважин, а именно к способам определения местоположения забоя скважин. После спуска сейсмического приемника в забой скважины на поверхности земли около устья скважины в точке с известными координатами производят регистрацию времен распространения сейсмического сигнала от точки на поверхности земли до сейсмоприемника в забое скважины. Затем производят импульсное сейсмическое воздействие в трех точках на поверхности земли с известными координатами и регистрацию времен распространения от этих точек до сейсмоприемника в забое скважины.
