The device is used in the construction of hydraulic structures in which it is necessary to have an adjustable water outlet. The locking device of the head of the conduit consists of a flat vertical wall adjacent to the head of the conduit with a culvert hole in the lower part, a flat shutter with vertical movement in the grooves of the wall and a vertical actuator. The flat shutter is made in the form of two shields with wedge ribs on the sides, facing away from the wall. One of the shields is connected by an articulated rod to the drive, and the other is connected through the thrust protrusions to the first shield. The shutter shields have wedge ribs, and at the inner shield adjacent to the wall they face up with an acute angle, and the edges of the outer shield have an acute angle down. When lowering the shutter, both shields are moved by the drive rod together until the inner shield abuts against the lower base of the groove. At this time, the outer shield disengages from it and continues to move downward relative to it. The wedge edges of the panels are bursting in the grooves of the wall and the inner shield is pressed tightly against the wall, blocking the culvert hole. Advantages of the device: preventing filtration when closing the culvert through tight pressure of the inner shield and at the same time complete freedom to move the shutter in the grooves, which increases reliability in operation, since friction is significantly eliminated and wear of structural elements is significantly reduced.
