The invention relates to CO 2 lasers with a closed-loop pumping of the working medium and gas ionization by an electron beam, intended for use in metalworking, mining and other industries. The laser contains cathode and anode electrodes located in the gas discharge chamber, made in the form of gratings, on which the gas flow is directed in the direction of the electric field between the electrodes, the electron beam from the ionization device is directed opposite to the direction of the electric field, and the optical axis of the resonator is directed perpendicular to the gas flow and electric field , in the space between the electrodes directly in the discharge zone, dielectric screens are installed perpendicular to the planes of the electrodes, made s from porous ceramics, a developed surface facing to the interior of the gas discharge chamber. The technical result consists in increasing the power of laser radiation, reducing its angular divergence and, therefore, in increasing the brightness of the radiation in the far zone.
