Use: for sewage treatment from organic and inorganic impurities, including cadmium, lead, zinc, iron, nickel, chromium and cobalt ions. The goal is to increase the cleaning efficiency due to the use of a sorbent that has an increased capacity and does not contaminate the waste water with additional impurities. The essence of the invention: wastewater is purified from impurities by sorption using alumina as a sorbent, which is pre-treated with steam at 550-700 ° C. Positive effect: the treatment of alumina with steam increases the capacity of the sorbent, thereby increasing the degree of purification and reducing the consumption of the sorbent.
