Abstract

The invention relates to the design of a box with a hinged lid (Hinge-Lid package) made of (thin) cardboard, consisting of a casing and a lid, which in the area of the rear wall of the lid is connected to the rear wall of the casing by a linear hinge, with the possibility of folding. The box can be used to store bulk packages of bulk materials packaged in plastic, in particular loose tea.

The objective of the proposed solution is to simplify the design and assembly technology of the box, as well as to improve the consumer properties of the box by fixing the lid in the closed position of the box and by increasing the stiffness of the lid.

To solve this problem, a packaging box with a hinged lid containing a box 1 in the form of a parallelepiped and a lid 2 connected to the back wall 4 of the housing by a linear hinge, has the following features:

- the housing and the cover are made of a single workpiece with dividing lines of the folds,

- the cover 2 closes the upper part of the housing 1 of the box,

- the internal valves of the side walls 9 and 10 of the lid of the box are provided with grooves 24 that interact with the tongues 27 in the upper part of the front wall 3 of the housing to secure the lid 2 in the closed position,

- the cover is supplemented by an internal valve 20 of the end wall, which is equipped with tongues 28, interacting with the second grooves 25 on the internal valves of the side walls 9 and 10 of the cover to increase the rigidity and strength of the cover. 2 pp, 3 pic.

Description

The invention relates to the design of a box with a hinged lid (Hinge-Lid package) made of (thin) cardboard, consisting of a casing and a lid, which in the area of the rear wall of the lid is connected to the rear wall of the casing by a linear hinge, with the possibility of folding. The box can be used to store bulk packages of bulk materials packaged in plastic, in particular loose tea.

The closest constructive solution to the proposed box is a folding folding box according to patent No. 2218297 dated 08.08.2000. IPC: B65D 5/02; 5/60: 5/70. The package includes a box in the shape of a parallelepiped and a lid connected to the rear wall of the housing through a linear hinge with the possibility of folding. A side is located in the housing, which partially protrudes from the housing and which, by lower surfaces in the region of the front and side walls, is fixed on the inner side of the front and side walls of the box, respectively, and its part protruding from the box forms free, visible surfaces.

This upper part of the side in the closed state of the box is surrounded by a lid. The side consists of a separate blank (or can be made in one piece with the (main) blank for the actual box and lid), also of thin cardboard.

An additional operation of gluing the side and the body complicates the manufacturing technology of the box, in addition, after the first opening of the lid, the lid is not locked in the closed state.

The objective of the proposed solution is to simplify the design and assembly technology of the box, as well as to improve the consumer properties of the box due to the reliable fixation of the lid in the closed position of the box and by increasing the stiffness of the lid.

To solve this problem, a packaging box with a hinged lid containing a box in the form of a parallelepiped and a lid connected to the rear wall of the housing by a linear hinge, has the following features:

- the housing and the cover are made of a single workpiece with dividing lines of the folds,

- the lid covers the upper part of the box body,

- the internal valves of the side walls of the lid of the box are provided with grooves that interact with the tabs in the upper part of the front wall of the housing to ensure the lid is fixed in the closed position,

- the cover is supplemented by an internal valve of the end wall, which is equipped with tabs that interact with the second grooves on the internal valves of the side walls of the cover to increase the rigidity and strength of the assembly of the cover.

The introduction of the proposed design changes to the box allows it to be made from a single blank, simplifies the assembly process of the box, eliminates the gluing operation of the side and the body, which reduces labor costs for packaging assembly and thereby increases the competitiveness of the product. In addition, the proposed box provides increased rigidity of the lid and improved fixation in the closed state, which increases the usability of such a box.

The basic design of the proposed box is presented in figures 1 and 2. According to these figures, the box with a hinged lid consists of the lower part - the housing 1 - and the upper part - the cover 2. The housing 1 has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, consists of a front wall 3 of the box opposite the rear wall 4 (figure 3), the narrow side walls 5 and 6, as well as the bottom 7. The cover 2 consists of a front wall 8 and side walls 9 and 10, as well as the upper end wall 11. The housing 1 and the cover 2 are connected to each other with a friend using a linear hinge 12 in the area of the rear wall 4 of the housing CA and the end face of the cover 11. Using a linear hinge 12, the cover 2 can move between the open position (figure 2) and the closed position (figure 1).

In the closed position, the front 8 and side walls 9 and 10 of the cover extend beyond the upper edges of the front and side walls 3, 5 and 6 of the housing and overlap the upper parts of the walls of the housing 3, 5 and 6. The edges of the side walls of the cover 9 and 10 adjacent to the ribs of the back walls 4 of the body, have rounding for ease of use.

The proposed packaging box with a hinged lid is made of a single solid billet (FIG. 3), on which the individual parts are separated by folding lines in the form of creases or perforations, along which the billet is folded into the finished product.

The case 1 of the box is a rectangle divided by fold lines into four rectangles to form the front 3, rear 4 and side walls 5 and 6 of the body. In addition, near the rear wall there is a valve 13, which during assembly is glued to one of the side walls, forming a parallelepiped. In the lower part of the wall of the housing 3-6 are equipped with folding valves 14-17 for forming the bottom of the housing by connecting the valves in the form of a spike-groove. The bottom design (appearance of valves 14-17) may be different.

A cover blank 2 is connected to the rear 4 wall of the housing 1 through a linear hinge. It consists of four inflection lines separated by

rectangles of different sizes. One of them in the assembled box is the end face of the lid 11, and the other three 18, 19 and 20 serve to form the front 8 wall of the lid.

L-shaped valves are connected to lateral ribs of valve 11 through inflection lines to form lateral walls 9 and 10 of the cover. Each of them consists of three parts of a rectangular shape. Rectangles 21 are directly adjacent to the end face 11 and may have a rounded bottom edge. Rectangles 22 adjacent to the valves 21 on the left and right are provided with U-shaped and L-shaped grooves 24 and 25 on the upper and side ribs. Rectangles 23 are attached to the parts 21 from above and provided with L-shaped slices 26 at the edges adjacent to the valve 18.

The lateral ribs of the front wall 3 of the housing 1 are provided with folding tongues 27, which are in contact with the grooves 24 of the inner flaps 22 of the side walls of the lid, contributing to fixing the position of the lid in the closed state of the box. The same reeds 28 are provided with the side walls of the inner end valve 20 of the lid, which assembled interact with the grooves 25 on the inner side flaps 22 of the lid.

The box is assembled as follows.

The walls of the housing 1 are formed by folding along the fold lines of rectangles 3-6. The shape of the body is fixed by gluing the valve 13 with the side wall 6. Next, the bottom is formed in a standard way from the valves 14-17.

Then a lid is formed. For this, the valves 22 are bent and superimposed on the valves 21 and can be connected by glue. Valves 23 are fixed between the valves 18 and 19, and the valve 20 is laid on the end 11. This ensures the rigidity of the cover. While the tabs 28 of the valve 20 interact with the cutouts 25 of the valves 22 and contribute to fixing the position of the parts of the cover in assembled form.

When lowering the cover, it is rotated relative to the linear hinge connecting the rear walls of the cover and the housing, while the front and side walls of the cover are lowered and cover part of the front and side walls of the housing. While the tabs 27 on the ribs of the front wall of the housing interact with the grooves 24 on the inner side flap 22 of the cover and securely fix its position.

Thus, the proposed prefabricated box differs from the known simpler construction of the housing and lid, allowing them to perform from a single sheet blank. The design of the hinged lid, which allows you to close part of the box body, as well as the presence of fixing tabs on the structural elements of the box, ensures the reliability of the structure, the possibility of fixing the position of the closed lid and ease of use.

A packaging box with a hinged lid, consisting of a casing and a lid connected to the rear wall of the casing by means of a linear hinge, characterized in that the casing and the lid are made of a single sheet blank with dividing lines of the folds, the lid covers the upper part of the box casing, while the inside the flaps of the side walls of the lid of the box are provided with grooves interacting with the tabs in the upper part of the front wall of the housing to secure the lid in the closed position. 2. A packaging box with a hinged lid according to claim 1, characterized in that the lid is supplemented by an internal valve of the end wall, which is provided with tabs that interact with the second grooves on the internal valves of the side walls of the lid to increase the rigidity and strength of the lid.
