Abstract

The utility model relates to consumer goods, namely, tables that can be used as gaming, coffee, coffee tables, as well as decorative elements of the interior. The table contains supports, tabletops and underframes, including a central element and stiffeners, which form cells for shelves and drawers, equipped with sliding mechanisms with driven and leading rails. The difference of the table is that it has one hollow support with a pedestal in the lower part, through which a metal rod passes from the inside; the stiffeners of the underframe are made in the form of two parallel pairs mutually perpendicular to each other and rigidly connected to the central element having a through hole and a means for attaching the rod; the table has a removable cover and three built-in playing fields, one of which is located in the countertop and one on each side of the removable cover. The technical result is to provide sufficient stability and rigidity of the table having one support, as well as the expansion of the gaming functions of the table. This creates the convenience of placing people at the table and additional comfort during the game. The proposed design of the retractable mechanisms allows you to remove drawers and shelves from the table along with the retractable mechanisms and easily replace them without dismantling the table. 11 cpf, 9 fig.

Description

The utility model relates to consumer goods, namely, tables with drawers and shelves that can be used as gaming, coffee, coffee tables, as well as decorative elements of the interior.

Known table, which contains four supports, on which are installed a table-top and a rectangular top. The countertop consists of a stationary middle part, on both sides of which there are lateral parts made with the possibility of rotation through 180 °. Moreover, the reverse sides of the side parts of the countertop can be made in the form of playing fields (French Patent No. 740346, Gr.9-C1.4, publ. 04.01.1933). The table can be used as a dining, coffee, and also as a table for games through the use of the front or back sides of the sides of the tabletop. The middle part of the table has a drawer for placing game pieces.

A game table is also known, comprising a box in the form of a parallelepiped mounted on four support legs, in which two vertical walls inside have guide grooves for installing removable panels with different playing fields. The housing may also contain a drawer for figures (Aut. USSR Certificate No. 1741765, А47В 25/00, publ. 06.23.1992).

The above tables have good stability and sufficient rigidity, however, the presence of four supports reduces the convenience of placing people at the table. The drawback of the tables is the lack of sliding shelves to accommodate various household items that create additional comfort during the game (ashtray, glass, timer, notepad, etc.).

The designs of tables with one support are more convenient for accommodating people, however, in this case there is a problem of ensuring the stability of such tables.

Known table with one support, which can be used as a coffee or game table (RF Patent No. 2060023, А47В 25/00, publ. 05/20/1996). The support contains a rack with a swivel joint,

on which a tabletop is mounted with the possibility of rotation, the outer surface of which is formed by reflective holograms exposed at different angles and containing images of several playing fields. At the bottom of the rack has a pedestal, which ensures the stability of the table. The disadvantage of this design is the presence of a wide pedestal, which reduces the convenience of placing people. In addition, there are no drawers and shelves for placing game figures and various household items.

Closest to the proposed technical solution is a table with drawers and shelves in the upper part of the table, which can be used as a table for games, for example, as a card table, as well as a general purpose table (US Patent No. 20088078, C1. 311-103, published on July 16, 1935).

The table has four pillars, a rectangular underframe and a worktop with a playing field. The underframe contains stiffeners that form cells for four drawers and four shelves moving along the guides. The stiffeners with guides forming the cells for the shelves are located at an angle to the side surfaces of the table in a horizontal plane, which ensures the extension of the shelves diagonally. Shelves are located asymmetrically at the corners of the table. Drawers are located symmetrically in the center of each side of the table. The underframe contains a central element with means of fixing the shelves to limit their movement and secure retention inside the table. The table is also equipped with a means of limiting the extension of shelves.

The table is stable, has a sufficient number of drawers and shelves to accommodate various items. However, the disadvantage of the prototype, as well as the above analogues, is the decrease in the convenience of placing people at the table due to the presence of four supports. In addition, the table does not have built-in playing fields. This limits its use, since the table is intended mainly for games that do not require special playing fields (cards, dominoes, etc.).

The technical result of the proposed utility model is to ensure sufficient stability and rigidity of the table having one support, as well as expanding the gaming functions of the table. This creates

the convenience of placing people at the table and additional comfort during the game.

The proposed design of the retractable mechanisms allows you to remove drawers and shelves from the table along with the retractable mechanisms and easily replace them without dismantling the table.

Achievable technical result is ensured by the fact that the magazine-game table, containing supports, tabletops and underframes, including a central element and stiffeners that form cells for shelves and drawers, equipped with sliding mechanisms with driven and leading rails, ACCORDING TO THE APPLICABLE USEFUL MODEL, has one a hollow support with a pedestal at the bottom through which a metal rod passes from the inside; the stiffeners of the underframe are made in the form of two parallel pairs mutually perpendicular to each other and rigidly connected to the central element having a through hole and a means for attaching the rod; the table has a removable cover and three built-in playing fields, one of which is located in the countertop and one on each side of the removable cover.

In the particular case of the execution of the magazine-game table, the tabletop may contain a playing field for playing backgammon, and the lid on the one hand a playing field for playing chess or checkers, and on the other hand a playing field for playing cards.

The underframe, countertop and lid may have a round, rectangular or polygonal shape.

The table support can be made in the form of a hollow cylinder, a hollow truncated cone, a hollow truncated pyramid or a hollow parallelepiped.

Inside the hollow support may contain diaphragms.

Retractable mechanisms for drawers and shelves can be located, respectively, under the drawer or shelf, each of them contains a base attached to the base of the table, and slats attached to the side edges of the drawer or shelf, while the guide rails are installed on the base, and the guide rails mounted on planks.

The drawings show the design of the table with a tabletop, a table top and a round lid and a support in the form of a truncated hexagonal pyramid. However, the features of the design presented in the drawings do not exhaust the entire scope of the rights set forth in the utility model formula.

The gaming table contains a table 1, table top 2, cover 3, support 4, pedestal 5 (figure 1). Two parallel pairs of stiffeners 6 and 7, mutually perpendicular to each other, are installed in the underframe. Stiffening ribs form cells for drawers 8 and shelves 9, equipped with sliding mechanisms. A pair of ribs 6 is rigidly connected to the Central element 10 having a through hole 11 and means of fastening 12 of the metal rod (Fig.2, 3). The metal rod 13 passes through the hollow support 4 and the pedestal 5 connected to it at the bottom. Moreover, the diaphragms 14, which are installed for rigidity inside the hollow support 4, and the pedestal have central holes for the passage of the rod (Fig. 4). For an aesthetic purpose, an intermediate part 15 can be installed between the support and the pedestal.

The connection of the table with the support is carried out by fixing the upper part of the metal rod 13 on the Central element of the table

(using fasteners 12). The lower part of the rod is fixed on the outside of the pedestal (fastening means are not shown in the drawings).

To extend the drawers and shelves, standard mechanisms can be used with the leading guides installed on the stiffeners of the underframe, and the driven guides on the side surfaces of the drawers and shelves.

However, in order to provide easier replacement of the sliding mechanisms without disassembling the entire table, the design shown in Fig. 5 (for a shelf) and Fig. 6 (for a drawer) is proposed. The retractable mechanism consists of a base 16, which is attached to the base of the table, and two slats 17, which are attached from below to the side edges of the shelf or drawer. Fastening the base and strips can be carried out using self-tapping screws. The shelf in this case is hollow from the bottom. Leading guides 18 are attached to the base on both sides, and one driven guide 19 is attached to each bar.

If it is necessary to replace the sliding mechanisms, the shelves and drawers together with the driven guides are removed from the table, and the base with leading guides is easily detached from the table.

Tabletop 2 contains an integrated playing field 20 (for example, for playing backgammon, Fig. 7).

The table cover 3 contains on each side along the playing field, for example, for playing chess-checkers 21 and for playing cards 22 (Figs. 8, 9).

The technical essence of the utility model consists in the fact that a table design with one support is proposed, the main elements of which are hollow. This ensures the relative lightness of the table. At the same time, sufficient rigidity and stability of the structure is ensured by the stiffening ribs and the central element of the underframe in a certain way, as well as by a metal rod passing inside the support and the pedestal.

The proposed table with one support is more convenient to accommodate people than conventional tables with four supports. At the same time, the gaming functions of the table are expanded due to the possibility of using three built-in playing fields. The presence of drawers and shelves (for game pieces, various

household items) as well as in the prototype create additional comfort during the game. And the proposed original design of the retractable mechanism makes it easy to replace it without disassembling the entire table.

The table manufacturing process consists of the following operations.

Underframe Making

Underframe 1 may have a circle, square or polygon at the base. In this case, the lateral part of the underframe is made of flexible plywood (in the case of a round underframe). In the case of the manufacture of a square or polygonal underframe, the side part is made of boards.

After the side part of the underframe is ready, the base is cut out in the form of a circle, square or polygon of plywood 6 mm thick, which is temporarily attached with screws to the lower part of the side surface of the underframe. A hole with a diameter of 10 mm is drilled in the center of the base for the passage of a metal rod 13 connecting the underframe 1 to the support 4.

Then stiffening ribs 6, 7 and the central element 10 are made, which will be installed in the underframe.

The central element 10 is a rectangular prism made of several layers of plywood. The layers stick together and are tightened with screws. Ribs 6, 7 are made of boards; the sizes of the ribs are selected according to the internal dimensions of the table. The ribs and the central element are rigidly connected to each other as shown in Fig. 3 with glue and screws, after which they are inserted into the underframe and glued along all contact planes.

After the stiffening system is mounted in the underframe, a through hole 11 is drilled through the central element through the central element. A recess is made in the upper plane of the central element, where a metal strip is inserted with a tool intended for fastening the metal rod, for example, with a welded nut 12. Hole the nut is centered with the hole in the central element so that the shaft is screwed into the nut without any effort.

The finished underframe is glued over the front surface with wood veneer, polished, primed and covered with a colorless polyurethane varnish for furniture.

Production and installation of drawers and shelves with pull-out mechanisms

For the manufacture of drawers 8 and shelves 9, it is necessary to unscrew the base of the underframe and cut from the side surface of the facades for two drawers and two shelves. The material of the sides and bases of drawers and shelves is plywood with a thickness of 6 mm in two layers (FIGS. 5, 6). Shelves are faced with veneer on the top and sides, drawers are veneered on the outside and covered with cloth from the inside.

When installing the sliding mechanisms on the drawers and shelves, a conventional design can be used, providing for lateral placement of the rails. However, in order to more easily replace the sliding mechanisms without disassembling the entire table, an original design has been proposed, which provides for their placement under a drawer or shelf. In this case, strips 17 are attached from below to the side edges of the drawers and shelves, to which the driven guides 19 are screwed. Then, from three boards 18 mm thick, 50 mm wide, which are glued together, a base 16 is made for each drawer and shelf. On both sides, the guide rails are screwed to the base 18. Together, the base with the guide rails and the slats with the driven rails are a retractable mechanism.

The bases are attached in the necessary places to the base of the base using self-tapping screws. Shelves and drawers with guided guides are inserted into the corresponding cells of the table.

Dismantling and replacement of sliding mechanisms is carried out in the reverse order.

Manufacturing countertops with integrated playing field

The base of the countertop 2, which is cut out of plywood with a thickness of 6 mm, can have a round, square shape or a polygon shape (in accordance with the shape of the base).

The base is superimposed on the underframe, then eight holes for dowels are drilled in the center and edges at the designated points. In the center of the base of the countertop, a square is drawn, for example, with a size of 480 × 480 mm (outline of the playing field). The base is removed from the table. Four boards with pre-made angular bevels are placed close to each other along the contour of the playing field. Then the outer part of the boards is cut so as to give the countertop the appropriate shape (round, square, polygonal). The boards are glued to the plywood and pulled together by plywood with screws. Veneer is glued to the front surface. To give rigidity around the perimeter of the countertop, bent plywood with a thickness of 5 mm in two or three layers is applied. The resulting surface is glued with veneer. The countertop is sanded, primed and varnished.

The finished countertop is connected to the base with dowels, glue and screws. Then, from the plywood 6 mm thick, a playing field is made, for example, for playing backgammon 20 (480 × 480 mm), which is mounted in the middle of the countertop with glue and glazing beads (Fig. 7). Using the marquetry technique, a mosaic image is made on the front side of the playing field by gluing thin curly veneer plates of various wood species. The pattern may be different.

Making a tabletop with integrated playing fields

Table cover 3 is mounted on the countertop. The removed cover can be placed next to the table in a stand specially designed for this purpose.

The cover is made of an euro board 18 mm thick, 150 mm wide, 500 mm long.

A square is cut out of plywood 6 mm thick, for example, with a size of 470 × 470 mm. Four boards with pre-made angled bevels are placed on the sides of this square. Then the outer part of the boards is cut in accordance with the intended shape of the lid (round, square or polygonal).

Four cut boards and a square of plywood are glued together - this is the front side of the lid. To give structural rigidity to

veneer in two layers is glued to the perimeter of the side surface of the lid. For ease of removal of the cover, two grooves are cut, which are also pasted with veneer.

In the area of the square of the front side of the lid, using the marquetry technique, a playing field is created, for example, for playing chess or checkers 21 (Fig. 8).

To form a playing field on the back of the lid (for example, to play cards 22, Fig. 9), a square of plywood 6 mm thick, 450 × 450 mm in size, which is covered with cloth, is cut out. The square is inserted into the lid so that its plane is 0.5 mm higher than the rest of the lid surface. For this, strips 23 are used, which are fixed with glue between the planes of the playing fields inside the lid.

The surface of the lid around the playing fields is pasted over with wood veneer, sanded, primed and varnished.

Making a table support with a pedestal

The table support may be a hollow cylinder, a hollow truncated cone, a hollow truncated pyramid, or a hollow box. The height of the support can be 490 mm.

If the support is made in the form of a hexagonal truncated pyramid (Fig. 4), the faces are trapeziums with a size of the lower base of 70-100 mm, the upper base of 100-130 mm. The faces are made of a single board with a thickness of 18 mm, each edge of the face is rolled up by 30 °.

To impart rigidity to the structure, four diaphragms 14 are used, which are installed inside the support, two of which are inserted above and below into the samples of the pyramid bases, and two diaphragms are placed in the grooves between the bases (Fig. 4).

The diaphragms are made of plywood 6 mm thick in the form of four hexagons of different sizes (circles or squares in the case of using a support in the form of a truncated cone or parallelepiped, respectively). The dimensions of the diaphragms are determined by measuring the sizes of the samples and the grooves inside the pyramid at the places of establishing the diaphragms (figure 4).

A hole with a diameter of 15-20 mm is drilled in the center of each hexagon (circle, square), through which a PVC tube is inserted, which plays the role of a guide for the metal rod 13 connecting the support to the base.

After the support with the diaphragms is assembled, it is ground, glued with wood veneer, primed and varnished.

Pedestal 5 may be a hexagon made of a board 25 mm thick. The dimensions of the sides can vary between 140-180 mm. The hexagon is assembled from six equilateral triangles with a height of 80-170 mm. A hexagon of appropriate dimensions is cut out from plywood 6 mm thick, to which triangles are glued. The triangles are also connected by glue. A hole with a diameter of 10 mm is drilled in the center of the obtained hexagon to pass the connecting rod.

The pedestal is glued with wood veneer, polished, primed, varnished.

Sometimes, to achieve additional resistance to the pedestal, heels 24 are screwed, which are made of hard wood (Figs. 1, 4)

For an aesthetic purpose, an intermediate part 15 may sometimes be located between the support and the pedestal, resembling a hexagonal truncated pyramid with concave edges. The height of the pyramid is approximately 70 mm. The faces of the pyramid are made of flexible plywood 5 mm thick and glued together. Then the part is glued with veneer, polished, primed, varnished. The interconnection of the support, the intermediate part and the pedestal is carried out with the help of glue applied to all places of contact.

After the support 4 with the pedestal 5 is ready, the underframe 1 is turned upside down with the base, in the center with the help of the nut 12, a metal rod 13 is screwed onto which the support with the pedestal is worn. The rod on the side of the base of the pedestal is also tightened with a nut. The table turns over, the process of its manufacture is completed.
