Корпус мерника представляет собой металлический герметичный сварной сосуд. Снизу и сверху в корпус вварены горловины с установленными в них кранами. К нижней части корпуса приварены опоры. На боковой поверхности корпуса установлен указатель уровня жидкости, представляющий собой закрепленную в держателях стеклянную трубку со шкалой, при этом трубка имеет возможность перемещаться вверх-вниз для поверки мерника, и термометр. К боковой поверхности корпуса приварены рукояти для переноски мерника. Сверху на корпусе выше центра масс мерника закреплен рым в виде скобы.The measuring body is a metal sealed welded vessel.
