Abstract
The technical solution relates to devices for delivering laser radiation to biological objects and can be used, for example, to perform ophthalmic surgery. The laser tip contains a housing with an optical fiber inside it and a clamping mechanism. It is additionally equipped with an elastic element in the form of a rubber tube located in the housing on the same axis as the optical fiber and the clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism is made in the form of a threaded sleeve with a transition washer. This device provides the necessary fixation in the laser tip without any impact of metal parts on the brittle optical fiber by uniformly squeezing it with a rubber element, thus preventing the possibility of damage to the optical fiber during surgery.
Description
The technical solution relates to devices for delivering laser radiation to biological objects and can be used, for example, to perform ophthalmic surgery.
A technical solution is known (created according to RF patent No. 2130762 in the form of a prototype of the laser tip NL-03-01 of the Rakot laser cataract laser extraction complex), which contains a laser tip in the form of a hollow rod with an optical fiber located inside it and having a fiber lock in the form of a hard collet clamping.
However, using this tip it is impossible to ensure the reliability of the optical fiber when it is fixed in the clamp, since the stiffness of the collet element leads to damage to the thin metallized sheath of the optical fiber and then its brittle quartz fiber. Such an accident during a surgical operation means not only the interruption of the laser energy supply through the optical fiber and the surgical intervention is stopped, but also the sterilization of the working part and the need for repeated preparation and sterilization of the optical fiber directly during the operation, which is fraught with possible complications.
In addition, the loss of a significant length of the fiber when breaking it off in the collet clamp is inadequate economically, as it leads to the need for ultimately premature replacement of the entire fiber.
The objective of the technical solution is to prevent damage to the fiber when it is fixed in the laser tip.
The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that the laser tip having a body in the form of a hollow rod with a light guide located inside it is equipped with a latch with an additional coaxial
упругоэластичным элементом, деформация которого под воздействием прижимного механизма обеспечивает надежное фиксирование световода без возможности его повреждения.an elastic element, the deformation of which under the influence of the clamping mechanism provides reliable fixation of the fiber without the possibility of damage.
In FIG. the laser tip is shown in its fixing part, where 1 is the tip body, 2 is the inner guide tube, 3 is an elastic element, 4 is a transition washer, 5 is a clamp in the form of a threaded sleeve, 6 is an optical fiber based fiber.
The proposed technical solution is as follows.
The fiber 6 is located in the laser tip, passing through the inner guide tube 2 of the housing 1. The clamping mechanism provides rotation of the clip 5 to move it along the thread and pressure through the washer 4 on the elastic member 3 along the axis of the optical fiber 6. In turn, this elastic member located in a special cavity body 1 and made in the form of a rubber tube, deforming, tightly compresses the light guide 6 along its entire length. Therefore, the necessary fixation in the laser tip is achieved without any effect of metal parts on the brittle optical fiber by uniformly compressing it with a rubber element made, for example, of a material based on silicone rubbers, thus eliminating the possibility of damage to the optical fiber during surgery.
