Abstract

2. The prior art.

A well-known business card of a rectangular shape on a flat medium with text information printed on it (RF patent No. 53203, MKPO 19-08).

The disadvantage of a business card is the small amount of visually readable information or the oversaturation of the data presented.

An electronic business card with integrated information exchange capabilities is also known (RF patent No. 2190876, IPC7 G06F 17/60).

The disadvantage is the limited allocation of the necessary information for visual reading.

A well-known business card, made on paper, containing the main information field (actually a business card), with visually readable information placed on it, and additional fields (RF patent No. 2089400, IPC7 V42D 15/04).

The disadvantage is the inability to reliably transfer information from a business card to an electronic database.

In this case, the purpose of machine-readable fields is protection against unauthorized access to information. A disadvantage of the known technical solution in the redundancy of elements in the absence of a systematic arrangement of the device’s functional fields, including the impossibility of separating visually-readable and machine-readable information, the inability to read machine-readable information made in arbitrary coding, does not allow using the technological capabilities of a representative card as a business card user with the possibility of its transfer and use by third parties.

3.1 Technical problem.

Business cards are an obligatory attribute of entrepreneurs or company employees who, by occupation, contact customers or representatives of other enterprises, and the card is transferred for use to an unlimited circle of third parties.

The variety of types of business cards in terms of style, location of information, the use of various fonts, color schemes and the availability of information in different languages, the use of a wide variety of machine coding of information, leads to a large number of unavoidable errors

entering the received information into the database of an unlimited circle of users.

Moreover, the structure of any database assumes the presence of specialized fields for each type of information presented on a business card, for example, the fields: "Company Name", "Representative Name", "Phone", etc., therefore, programs are required to ensure the process automatic recording of the read information in the corresponding fields of the database.

Given these problems, the ability to separate visually-readable and machine-readable information, the ability to read arbitrary machine-readable information when using a business card by third parties, is necessary.

The technical task is to unify the card for the purposes of transfer and use by third parties (business card) and expand the technological capabilities of the device.

The technical result consists in obtaining a unified device for transmission and use by third parties (a business card), including the rational distribution and reduction in the number of elements of the same functional purpose, which increases the reliability of the device, in particular, reading and entering into the database by third parties.

Unlike the known one, the card is designed as a business card for transfer and use by third parties, it is made with the possibility of separating the main and additional fields, for example, with a tear line in the form of perforations or using a connecting element to expand technological

The code field can be located on a detachable fragment, which until the moment of separation represents a single whole with a business card.

The separation line (4) is intended for the convenience of separating the fragment with additional fields from the fragment with the main field of the business card, and can be performed, for example, by perforation or other connecting element. This allows you to provide for machine reading, if necessary, only a fragment with machine-readable information.

Before applying to a business card, machine-readable information is segmented to fully comply with the fields of the electronic data base, which allows the entire process of transferring information to be carried out automatically. When converting machine-readable information from a graphic form to an electronic one, it is not the pattern recognition technology that is used, but the technology for reading and decoding the graphic code.

As a code, a code of the type Data Matrix, PDF417 or their functional analogue can be used.

Such codes are applied graphically (in print) by a large capacity, not sensitive to printing defects, reliable read and input of information into a computer.

The large capacity of the code allows you to place a significant amount of information, both duplicating visually readable information, and additional information, the content of which is determined by the owner of the business card. At the same time, a business card does not become oversaturated with visual elements and texts.

Such codes are recognized and read using scanning devices - "card readers" of various models, for example, BizCardReader 600C, which

automatically read and organize (sort and arrange) the read information in the form of text in the corresponding fields of the electronic database.

Instead of a graphical code carrier, a magnetic code carrier (magnetic tape) can be placed in the code field.

The proposed structure of the business card allows the device to be used by an unlimited circle of third parties, it helps to organize paperwork due to unification, reduces the risk of errors and increases the speed of processing and posting information through segmentation.
