The utility model relates to medicine, namely to reflexology and can be used to massage the cervical-collar zone, back and lumbosacral region. The device consists of a handle, a curved arc in the form of a semicircle, at the end of which there is a spherical massage element. The device allows to increase the effectiveness of acupressure due to the ability to adjust the strength of the impact on the points by the patient.

Description

The proposed utility model relates to medicine, namely to reflexology and can be used to massage the cervical-collar zone, back and lumbosacral region.

Various massage devices are known.

A massage device is known comprising a handle and a massage element connected thereto with a convex contact surface (see US Patent No. 5,127,395, 1992).

A massage device is known comprising a handle and a massage element connected thereto (see RF Patent No. 2110982, 1998).

Closest to the proposed is a massage device containing a rod and a working head, made in the form of a spherical segment. (See RF Patent No. 2089156, 1997).

However, the known devices have low efficiency in the study of hard-to-reach biologically active points of the back and neck.

The technical result of the proposed device is to increase the effectiveness of massage due to the possibility of regulating the force of influence on the points by the patient himself and ensuring ease of access to biologically active points of the neck and back.

What is new is that the handle is made by a curved arc in the form of a semicircle, at the end of which there is a spherical massage element.

The implementation of the handle of the device with a curved arc in the form of a semicircle provides the ability to regulate the force of influence on the points by the patient himself, allows self-massage of hard-to-reach biologically active points of the neck and back, and performs a calming or stimulating effect on the points depending on the functional state of the body.

Comparative analysis with the prototype shows that the claimed device differs from the known one in that the handle of the device is made in a curved arc in the form of a semicircle, at the end of which there is a spherical massage element that meets the criterion of "novelty."

A new set of features provides an increase in the effectiveness of massage due to the ability to regulate the effect on biologically active points, the device does not require the presence of medical personnel, is simple to use and handle, it improves the quality of life of the patient, reduces or cancels the applied analgesics and other drugs, the proposed form of the device provides the possibility of widespread use in medical practice, which meets the criterion of "industrial applicability".

The device for acupressure consists of a handle 1 and a massage element 2. The working end of the handle is curved in an arc in the form of a semicircle with a diameter of 16-18 cm. At the end of the curved part there is a spherical massage element with a diameter of 2.5-3.0 cm (figure 1). The device can be made of wood, metal or plastic.

The device operates as follows. In the sitting position (at home when watching TV shows, in the office) for headaches, back pain, fatigue and agitation, muscle spasms, the patient sets a spherical massage element of the device on a biologically active point and conducts smooth, pressing movements within tolerable pain to achieve the expected effect, i.e. relieving pain, tension, fatigue, cramping, or improving mood. (Fig.2-6). With a calming (inhibitory, sedative) method, the effect on one point is repeated 3-4 times for 2-4 minutes, 3-4 points are subjected to massage in one session. With an exciting (stimulating, tonic) method, they affect a point for 30-40 seconds, the number of points is not more than 6-8 for one massage session.

A device for acupressure containing a handle and a massage element, characterized in that the handle is made in a curved arc in the form of a semicircle, at the end of which there is a spherical massage element.
