This allows us to draw a conclusion about the novelty of the composition of the proposed carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
The use of a binder consisting of epoxy resin, a thermoplastic modifier - carded polyarylene ether ketone with a phthalide group, a hardener of isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride, and a curing accelerator of 2-methylimidazole led to a simultaneous increase in its crack resistance and glass transition temperature. The authors see in this the inventive level of the technical solution they propose.
1.Example 1.
ED-20 epoxy resin is loaded sequentially into a reactor equipped with heating and a stirrer. With continuous stirring, raise the temperature to 165°C and add carded polyarylene ether ketone with a phthalide group. The ratio of ED-20 and carded polyarylene ether ketone with a phthalide group is 100:10. Stirring at 165°C lasts 80 minutes, after which the temperature is lowered to 60°C and isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride and 2-methylimidazole are introduced, mixing is carried out for 30 minutes (the ratio of ED-20, isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride and 2-methylimidazole is 100:90:0, 2). The finished binder is processed by wet winding on a winding mill. The binder is heated to 60°C and continuous carbon fiber UMT49S-12K-EP is passed through it (ratio of ED-20 and carbon fiber UMT49S-12K-EP 100:372). The fiber impregnated with the binder is wound onto a mandrel and a product is obtained. Curing is carried out in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 90-120°C until the required degree of curing is achieved.
1.Examples 2-8 are carried out similarly to example 1 using the ratios presented in table 1.
1.The properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastic according to examples 1-8 in comparison with the prototype are shown in Table 2. The conditions for obtaining carbon fiber reinforced plastic are similar to example 1.
When the content of carded polyarylene ether ketone with a phthalide group in the composition is below the limit values, the crack resistance is significantly reduced, and when the content is above the limit values, it is difficult to obtain carbon fiber reinforced plastic. When the content of isomethyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride is below and above the limiting values, the crack resistance, glass transition temperature, interlayer shear strength and elastic modulus of carbon fiber plastic are significantly reduced.
Д. И. The results were obtained using the equipment of the Center for Shared Use named after. D. I. Mendeleev.
