Abstract
Description
The invention relates to lubricants, in particular to greases used in friction units of machines and mechanisms in the metallurgical and mechanical engineering industries, operating under conditions of high loads, high humidity and forced contact with water.
США №5126062, C10M159/00, C10M159/24).There is a known method for producing complex calcium lubricant, which includes the stages of: mixing from 22.5 to 32.5 wt.% solvent-neutral oil, from 36 to 47.4 wt.% calcium sulfonate, from 5 to 15 wt.% calcium carbonate in open boiler when heated to a temperature ranging from 66 °C to 93 °C; adding to the mixture from 2.5 to 3.5 wt.% isopropyl alcohol, from 3 to 6 wt.% water and from 1.1 to 1.5 wt.% dodecylbenzylsulfonic acid; heating the mixture thus obtained to a temperature ranging from 104 ° C to 110 ° C and maintaining the mixture at this temperature with stirring for 30 - 60 minutes so that saponification occurs; after saponification, adding calcium hydroxide in an amount of 1.9 to 2.7 weight percent of the lubricant; heating the material thus obtained to a temperature of 116 °C; slowly add 2 to 4 weight percent 12-hydroxystearic acid and mix for 20 minutes; then slowly add from 1.75 to 2.25 wt.% phosphoric acid and stir for 20 minutes (US Pat. No. 5126062, C10M159/00, C10M159/24).
The disadvantages of this method are:
- низкие температуры, при которых происходит реакция рафинирования с низшими кислотами;- low temperatures at which the refining reaction with lower acids occurs;
- высокая стоимость компонентов, в частности фосфорной кислоты;- high cost of components, in particular phosphoric acid;
- high fire hazard due to the presence of isopropyl alcohol.
Япония JP3263492, МПК C10M165/00; C10M169/04; C10M169/06).The closest analogue is a method for producing a grease, which includes mixing an ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin, a thermosetting resin or its prepolymer and a lubricating oil or grease in a given ratio, heating the mixture above a given temperature and curing it. A mixture of 1-50 wt.% ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin, 50-5 wt.% thermoset resin or prepolymer thereof and the remainder of the lubricating oil or grease is heated at a temperature above the melting point of the polyolefin, and then it hardens. To be specific, for example, a homogeneous mixture of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and phenolic resin prepolymer is mixed well with a mineral oil-based lubricant thickened with lithium soap, and this mixture is placed in a container and heated to 150 ° C for 30 minutes. The mixture may include 5-30 wt.% inorganic fibers such as glass fibers and carbon fibers, or organic fibers such as aramid fibers, polyester fibers and cotton fibers (Japanese Pat. JP3263492, IPC C10M165/00; C10M169/04 ; C10M169/06).
The disadvantages of this method are: the presence of aramid fibers in the grease composition in the form of mechanically prepared additives. Taking into account the physical and mechanical properties of aramid fibers, namely the halving of mechanical strength when wet, this additive will not allow achieving the claimed technical result, which consists in reinforcing the final composition of the grease. In addition, the lack of technical ability to control the degree of heterogeneity of the distribution of aramid fibers in the volume of grease will not allow predicting the lubricity in the friction unit, because During operation, at certain periods of time, a microvolume of grease that does not contain aramid fiber, entrained into the friction zone, can contribute to the occurrence of micro-seizing of the surfaces of contacting bodies, which will lead to increased wear of equipment.
The technical problem is to increase the service life of machine parts and mechanisms and their wear resistance.
The technical result consists in creating a grease with low water absorption and high anti-friction properties when operating friction units under conditions of high loads, high humidity and forced contact with water.
%:This problem is solved by the fact that in the method for producing a grease, including loading and mixing the initial components, saponification, dehydration, heat treatment, cooling the mixture with the introduction of additives, homogenization of the mixture, degassing and packaging of the lubricant, according to the change, a functional additive is pre-prepared by heating 96 % sulfuric acid to a temperature of 60–80 ° C, followed by the addition of polyparaphenylene terephthalamide in the form of filaments, mixing the resulting solution with the addition of 12-hydroxystearic acid, homogenizing the mixture and its subsequent washing with water to obtain a functional additive, then mixing heated to temperature 80–100 °C base oil with the addition of acetic and 12-hydroxystearic acids, heat the mixture to a temperature of 110-130 °C, after which lithium hydroxide is introduced, saponification, dehydration, heat treatment by heating to 180-220 °C and holding for 1.5-2 hours at a given temperature, followed by cooling the mixture to 80–110 °C, then add antifriction and previously obtained functional additives, while the grease contains, wt. %:
20799-88.As a base oil, as the basis of a grease, for example, mineral oil of petroleum GOST 20799-88 or synthetic GOST 21791-76 origin can be used. In the claimed method, industrial oil grade I-40 GOST 20799-88 is used as a base oil.
As an antifriction additive, zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (grade DF-11) is used in accordance with TU 38.5901254-90. Along with improving the anti-wear properties of the oil, it effectively inhibits corrosion, i.e. improves the anti-corrosion and antioxidant properties of the lubricant. ( Fuels, lubricants, technical fluids. Assortment and application: Directory / I.G. Anisimov, K.M. Badyshtova, S.A. Bnatov, etc.; Edited by V.M. Shkolnikov. 2nd edition revised and supplemented - M.: Publishing Center "Techinform", 1999. - 596 pp.: ill. ).
С.Дориомедов, Рынок арамидного волокна: виды, свойства, применение // Электронный научный журнал «Труды ВИАМ» -2020- №11 DOI: 10.18577/2307-6046-2020-0-11-48-59).The use of a pre-prepared functional additive gives the grease additional extreme pressure properties, because sulfur-containing hydrocarbons of various structures in combination with a thickener increase the operational stability of the additive in conditions of high humidity and forced contact of the grease with water, and reduces its consumption. Polyparaphenylene terephthalamide, as a component of a functional additive, due to double interatomic bonds, has high chemical and thermal stability, strength and low solubility, which also has a positive effect on the performance properties of the lubricant in terms of the temperatures of its use, as well as resistance to chemical interaction with other technical liquids present in production conditions ( M.S. Doriomedov, Aramid fiber market: types, properties, application // Electronic scientific journal “Proceedings of VIAM” -2020- No. 11 DOI: 10.18577/2307-6046-2020-0-11-48-59 ).

To do this, 96% sulfuric acid is poured into a container with a mixing device made of chemically resistant material, after which it is heated to a temperature of 60-80 °C. Next, polyparaphenylene terephthalamide is added in the form of threads and mixed until the mixture becomes cloudy and homogeneous. With constant stirring of the mixture and maintaining the temperature within 60-80 ° C, add 12-hydroxystearic acid. The specified temperature of the mixture allows you to accelerate the process of dissolving polyparaphenylene terephthalamide threads in 96% sulfuric acid and ensure the melting of 12-hydroxystearic acid. At temperatures below 60 °C, the dissolution of polyparaphenylene terephthalamide threads takes a long time, and 12-hydroxystearic acid will not dissolve under such conditions, remaining in the form of a white crystalline powder. Next, the resulting mixture is homogenized and washed with water, which is necessary to remove free sulfur that has not reacted with 12-hydroxystearic acid. The finished functional additive has high antifriction properties, chemical and thermal stability, strength, low solubility, and low water absorption.
Next, base oil of mineral origin grade I-40 (GOST 20799-88) is added to the main reactor, equipped with a mixing device and a heating device, followed by heating it to a temperature of 80-100 °C. With constant stirring, add acetic (glacial) acid and 12-hydroxystearic acid. To begin the process of saponification and dehydration (evaporation of excess moisture from the mixture), the mixture is heated to a temperature of 110-130 °C. Then a thickener, lithium hydroxide is used, is loaded into the reactor and left for 5-7 hours. During this time, processes of transformation of fatty acid esters into soaps and alcohols occur under the influence of alkali solutions. After uniform mixing, heat treatment of the mixture is carried out by heating it to 180-220 ° C and holding at this temperature for 1.5-2 hours. Next, the temperature of the mixture is reduced to 80-110 °C and additives are introduced, including a previously obtained functional additive, based on the calculation of the mass of the functional additive in the range of 12-34.5 g per 1000 g of grease. A functional additive containing polyparaphenylene terephthalamide, in combination with a thickener, base oil, and zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, has low water absorption and high antifriction properties when operating friction units under conditions of high loads, high humidity and forced contact with water.
An anti-friction additive in the form of zinc dialkyldithiophosphate is also introduced.
Then the resulting lubricant is homogenized, degassed and packaged.

The data in Table 2 shows that the proposed method for producing grease provides a high range of physical and chemical properties compared to the prototype in terms of colloidal stability and drop point. High antifriction properties are confirmed by a series of tests carried out on a four-ball friction machine to determine the welding load, critical load and scuffing index. The weight loss when tested for resistance to water washout turned out to be lower than the prototype, which characterizes the low level of water absorption of the lubricant and high adhesion to the surfaces of machine parts and mechanisms.
