Abstract
Description
Currently, the developed liquid rocket engines are subject to extremely high requirements for efficiency and mass characteristics.
Ensuring high efficiency requires the execution of the supersonic part of the nozzle with a high degree of expansion (the ratio of the area of the outlet section of the nozzle to the area of the critical section) of the order of ~150 and higher.
In the engines being developed in Russia, the supersonic parts of the nozzle consist of several sections interconnected by welding.
Known design of the cooled nozzle "Propulsion engine of the launch vehicle" Energia "oxygen-hydrogen LRE RD0120" UDC 629.7036.54-6 p. 130 - taken as a prototype.
2.The oversized nozzle of this engine is ~3 m long and has a nozzle exit of 2.28 m. It is made of three brazed sections connected to each other by welding. Brazed sections have a constant thickness of the fins and a variable size of the cooling channel. The maximum coolant pressure in the nozzle may not exceed 400÷450 kgf/cm 2 .
2.The disadvantage of this design is the large mass of the nozzle due to the joints of the blocks and the impossibility of providing high pressure values ~800÷850 kgf/cm 2 .
Recently, the development of high technologies (obtaining structures of the nozzle part using laser sintering) made it possible to provide a pressure of ~850 kgf/cm 2 in the cooling paths, which provides a significant increase in the energy characteristics of engines operating, for example, according to the “gas-gas” scheme.
The task of improving the energy-mass characteristics is achieved by the fact that the LRE chamber operating at high pressures, containing the supersonic part of the nozzle with cooling channels, according to the presentation, cooling channels with ribs with a variable angle of rotation along the longitudinal axis of the chamber to the point of transition to an increased number of channels and ribs, which is determined by the thickness of the ribs and the size of the channels according to the dependence and to ensure equalization of the coolant flow in the ribs, samplings are made, interconnected by channels in the annular rib.
