Abstract
Description
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of plugging materials and can be used for cementing deep wells in fields with active formation waters and tendencies towards behind-the-casing water circulation.
Violation of the tightness of the cement ring due to the formation of channels in the cement stone and micro-gaps at the contact boundaries of the cement stone most often occurs due to high dynamic loads during perforation, hydraulic fracturing, pressure testing, as well as as a result of corrosive destruction by an aggressive corrosive medium of formation fluids.
27.09.2015 г.].To restore the tightness of the cement ring, various technologies are used, including stopping the well and pumping a sealing compound under pressure into the formed channels [patent RU No. 2640854, E21B 33/138
The disadvantage of the technologies under consideration is a long technological pause, labor intensity of work, multicomponent compositions, short-term waterproofing effect.
Self-healing plugging materials are used to cushion wells under these conditions, which show the best results in comparison with technologies for limiting water inflows. When cracks appear in the cement stone, some components of the penetrated hydrocarbon gas come into contact with special additives integrated into the cement during its manufacture or mixing. After the interaction of the additive and hydrocarbon gas, the previously damaged cement stone is restored to its original appearance, while maintaining its original strength. At the same time, the sealed cement ring does not allow formation fluids to pass through [FUTUR Self-Healing Cement System, Schlumberger product sheet 09.2008].
The disadvantage of the specified grouting material is its ability to self-repair only upon contact with reservoir hydrocarbons.
27.12.2014 г.].There are also known expanding plugging materials, including a binder and an expanding additive of various types, providing a hermetic contact of the cement stone with the casing and the borehole wall [B.C. Danyushevsky, "Reference Guide to Backfill Materials", Moscow, "Nedra", 1987, 373 pages; patent RU No. 2525885, C09K 8/467, "Backfill material with controlled expansion kinetics", publ. 08/20/2014; patent RU No. 2536725,
The disadvantage of these grouting materials is that they do not have a self-healing effect, i.e. restoration of tightness after cracking.
10.01.15. №1].The closest to the proposed technical solution in terms of a set of features, i.e. the prototype is a plugging material comprising a binder, an elastomeric block and a glassy or semi-crystalline block having a layered structure, while as a semi-crystalline block it contains thermoplastic block copolymers, as an elastomeric block - elastomeric swelling polymer materials [patent RU No. 2539054, C09K 8/467 Self-Healing Cements, Le Roy-Delage Sylvan, Martin-Al-Katib Lohr, publ. 10.01.15. bul. No. 1].
The disadvantage of this cement is that it has self-healing properties only in contact with reservoir hydrocarbons, and does not restore its integrity in contact with reservoir waters.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages. The technical result is the elimination of annular circulation and restoration of the integrity of the cement ring without stopping the well for repairs.
%:This goal is achieved in that the backfill material, including Portland cement, a swellable polymer material, according to the invention, contains, as a swellable polymer material, water-swellable granules of a cross-linked copolymer AA, coated with a water-soluble shell of a PVA + CMC polymer complex, in the following ratio of components, wt. %:
Thus, the proposed invention uses new ingredients and new technology, which gives grounds to assert that the proposed solution meets the "novelty" criterion.
Figure 1 shows a graph of formation water filtration through stone samples from various plugging materials at a temperature of 60 ° C and a minimum degree of mineralization. Figure 2 shows a graph of formation water filtration through samples of various plugging materials at a temperature of 20 ° C and a maximum degree of mineralization.
The essence of the invention is as follows.
Pre-made water-swellable cross-linked copolymer AA granules coated with a water-soluble shell of the PVA + CMC polymer complex are introduced into the dry powder of oil well cement. When preparing the water-soluble shell, the powdered polymer reagents, each separately, were dissolved in a mineralized solvent. Then, the solutions of the two polymers were mixed at a ratio of 1: 1 to obtain a polymer complex with adjustable properties of solubility and mechanical strength. Next, on the granules of the cross-linked copolymer AA, which is the active core of the modifying additive, a layer-by-layer application of a solution of the previously obtained polymer complex was carried out.
Crosslinked copolymer AA is a superabsorbent based on anionic polycrylamide. It is a water-insoluble crosslinked copolymer of acrylamide and potassium acrylate. The polymers contain a set of polymer chains, parallel to each other, which are regularly linked by crosslinking agents to form a network. When water comes into contact with one of these chains, it is pulled into the polymer molecule by osmosis. Thus, water is retained, rapidly migrating into the interior of the polymer network. Crosslinked AA copolymer absorbs up to 500 times its weight in water, turning into a gel.
The water-soluble shell is a polymer complex based on carboxymethyl cellulose modified with polyvinyl alcohol, and allows you to regulate the rate of its dissolution as a result of the elimination of premature activation and swelling of the additive during mixing and pumping of cement slurry into the well and mechanical strength. The shell layer of the polymer complex in the development performs a preventive function and is designed to exclude premature contact of the polymer core with water.
In the scientific, technical and patent literature, the use of water-swellable crosslinked copolymer AA granules coated with a water-soluble shell of a PVA + CMC polymer complex has not been previously reported.
Thus, the foregoing indicates the compliance of the claimed invention with the criterion of "inventive step".
An example of implementation of the invention.
1,0.As an example, consider the preparation of plugging material with the ratio: plugging Portland cement - 99.0; water-swellable granules 1.0.
For the preparation of plugging material, 990 g of plugging Portland cement PCT 1-50 GOST 1581-96 and 10 g of water-swellable granules covered with a water-soluble shell of the above-described polymer complex were taken. From the obtained plugging material, a plugging solution with a water-cement ratio of 0.5 was prepared. The cement paste samples were used to determine the properties, as well as to conduct studies on the self-healing of the cement stone. The tests of the obtained plugging material were carried out in accordance with GOST 1581-96. The test results of this sample, as well as other compositions, are shown in the table.
An increase in the number of water-swellable granules over 1.0% more strongly reduces the permeability of the stone, but negatively affects its strength. When the amount of water-swelling granules decreases to less than 0.5%, the pores are not healed.
1).To check the self-healing of the cement stone, the cement paste was poured into vertical cylindrical molds and artificial channels with a diameter of 0.2 to 0.5 mm were created in them. After hardening for 2 days, water with a chemical composition similar to the formation water was filtered through the stone samples, and the permeability of the samples was calculated. A comparative analysis of the culvert capacity of three samples of cement stone has been carried out. Hydrocarbonate water was filtered through the first sample (modified with "self-healing" additives); through the second sample (modified with "self-healing" additives), calcium chloride type water was filtered; fresh water was filtered through the third sample (cement stone made of no additive cement). Filtration of formation water with a minimum degree of mineralization and increased temperature (60 ° C) through a sample of "self-healing" plugging material resulted in the fastest possible dissolution of the shell and maximum activation of the water-swelling core. The time during which the liquid filtration mode was established was 6 hours. After another 9 hours, in the dynamics of a decrease in the flow of filtered water, there was a complete cessation of filtration (see Fig. 1).
When the formation water of the maximum degree of mineralization and low temperature (20 ° C) is filtered through a sample of "self-healing" plugging material, the shell dissolves at a slower rate and the water-swelling core is activated slowly. The time during which the liquid filtration mode was established was 10 hours. After another 12 hours, in the dynamics of a decrease in the flow of filtered water, there was a complete cessation of filtration (see Fig. 2). The third sample was made of no additives plugging material, and at steady state the filtration rate did not change.
It should be noted that in the stone modified with additives, 75% of the water was bound in 8 hours (12 hours) of steady filtration, while the stone passed 25% of the water for the next 7 hours (10 hours) until the water filtration stopped completely. The total time from the start of stone hydration until the complete stop of water filtration was 15 hours (22 hours). In the stone made of non-additive cement, cracks did not overgrow even after several days, while after the specified time, 92.5% of water turned out to be in free circulation, and only 7.5% of the water was bound by non-hydrated grains of plugging material contained in the cement clinker ...
Thus, the given example of implementation of the invention shows its compliance with the criterion of "practical applicability".
At the drilling site, a cement slurry is prepared from this grouting material using conventional technology.
The table shows that the backfill materials developed according to the proposed method meet GOST 1581-96. The effect of "freezing" of the plugging material will ensure high tightness of contacts: cement stone - casing and cement stone - rock.
