Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in mobile complexes, and as a backup supplement to stationary systems, radio intelligence and radio monitoring, radio navigation and radio monitoring to determine the direction to the radiation source or the angles of arrival of radio waves, mainly in the decameter range of radio wavelengths.
Known turbophase and multiphase methods for determining the direction to the source of radio emission, including circular systems of pairs of diametrically spaced antennas (Milkin V.I. Turbophase method for determining the direction to the source of radio emission. Scientific instrumentation.
To accommodate classic circular wide-base antenna systems, when using these methods with minimization of errors in determining bearings, large areas of homogeneous, with high conductivity, land plots are required in a critical environment with re-emitting objects that affect the values of errors in determining bearings.
There is a method of two-dimensional monopulse direction finding of radio emission sources of radio monitoring systems in azimuth and elevation, provided by choosing the configuration of the antenna system from forming an N-element helical antenna array, with a total number of antennas of at least three (Artemov M.L., Afanasyev O.V. , Slichenko M.P., Artemova E.S. Method of two-dimensional monopulse direction finding of radio emission sources Patent RU No. 2696095 dated July 31, 2019 IPC G01S 5/04). In this method, antennas with direction finders located, including on unmanned aerial vehicles, participate in the synchronous measurement of the complex amplitudes of the received radio signals. Located at the same distance along a helical line - a curve, in three-dimensional space, located on a circular vertical cylinder, they ensure that projections maintain the distance between elements along the horizontal plane, which should ensure high bearing accuracy in the azimuthal plane.
The disadvantages of the known method are the use of at least three unmanned aerial vehicles with minimal accuracy, but also not taken into account the influence of the earth at different heights of antenna placement, which increases the errors in determining bearings.
The closest in technical essence is a classic direction finder with an antenna system of identical antennas oriented to the cardinal points, with base distances in pairs between opposite antennas with a spacing greater than λ. (Mezin V.K. Automatic radio direction finders. M. Publishing house "Soviet radio" 1969, pp. 105-111, Fig. 3.1). In the known method, pairs of antennas oriented N-S and E-W are connected to channels of two-channel receiving paths, the outputs of which are connected to phase meters. By measuring the phase difference with phase meters, using a known calculation method or with the help of special calculating devices, the azimuth and the elevation angle are determined, which requires two receiving-indicators and two systems of identical mutually perpendicular pairs of antennas or switching antennas to one receiver-indicator.
A common disadvantage for all phase direction finders is errors associated with inaccuracies in the dimensions of the antenna system. The disadvantages of the prototype include the unevenness of the connecting cables, the influence of the terrain and the environment, the reception on long horizontal connecting conductors and the non-identity of their loads.
The aim of the invention is to develop a new method with improved technical and operational characteristics of radio direction finders, increased accuracy in determining bearings.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the known method of direction finding of a radio signal source, which consists in receiving a signal using non-directional antennas that form a rigid antenna array when measuring the phase difference between radio signals received in pairs of antennas, perpendicularly oriented and connected in pairs to the inputs of two-channel receiving paths, the outputs which are connected to phase meters are replaced with a pair of mobile diametrically located antennas in a virtual circular equidistant array formed by the method of moving antennas in space in a circle by unmanned aerial vehicles.
The development of the proposed new method provides a technical result in expanding the areas of application, reducing and compensating for errors in determining the bearing, reducing to a pair of used antennas used for direction finding, with the efficiency of a circular antenna array from a large set of antennas and the possibility of implementing a direction finding system with a wide base without taking into account influence on the terrain and surroundings by ground re-emitters, due to the placement of antennas on unmanned aerial vehicles located at a distance from the ground.
The required technical result, when using the invention, is achieved by the fact that the method of direction finding of a radio signal source, which consists in receiving a radio signal using non-directional antennas forming an antenna array, and measuring the phase difference between radio signals received in pairs of antennas, perpendicularly oriented and connected in pairs to the inputs of two-channel receiving paths with connected outputs to phase meters has been improved. As in the prototype, also measure the phase difference between the radio signals received by a pair of diametrically located antennas, but in a virtual circular equidistant array. The location of each in a pair of antennas, in real time, is determined using the onboard navigation system. The virtual circular antenna array is formed by moving in space in a circle in the direction finding plane parallel to the earth's surface by unmanned aerial vehicles, with onboard non-directional antennas of onboard radio direction finders with two-channel receiving paths installed on them. In this case, both channels of the receiving paths are connected by channel inputs to the onboard non-directional antenna. After passing through the preselector, the radio signal is redirected for modulation of the increased frequency to the unit for receiving and transmitting direction finding radio signals and control signals of the aircraft with an on-board direction finder through the introduced units for receiving and transmitting direction finding radio signals and control signals by the direction finding radio signal of the second of the channels of each two-channel receiving path. Direction finding radio signals from one unmanned aerial vehicle are retransmitted through the units for receiving and transmitting direction finding radio signals and control signals to another aircraft, where they are demodulated and fed into the second channel, a two-channel receiving path, instead of a redirected radio signal for subsequent processing and measurement with phase meters, excluding the phase incursion in retransmission channels. The onboard direction finders are controlled from the ground control and display module equipped with a search command radio receiver to control the setting of the receiving paths of the onboard radio direction finders and a bearing indicating device received from them through the unit for receiving and transmitting direction finding radio signals and control signals.
In accordance with the invention, in navigation systems when using GLONASS / GPS coordinates calculators, when moving in space in a circle, in a direction finding plane parallel to the earth's surface, the functions of GLONASS / GPS compasses are implemented. This provides on unmanned aerial vehicles, bearing calculating devices, direct determination of azimuths and elevation angles to radio signal sources and their subsequent transmission through the receiving and transmitting units of direction finding radio signals and control signals to the ground control and display module for processing direction finding results.
In addition, the ground control and display module, equipped with a search command radio receiver, to control the setting of the receiving paths of on-board radio direction finders, with a device for indicating bearings received through the receiving and transmitting unit of direction finding radio signals and control signals, is additionally equipped with a navigation system and a two-channel receiving path of the ground radio direction finder control and display module. In its channels, bypassing the preselectors, the direction finding radio signals with their high frequency modulation are intercepted and fed back and forth between the unmanned aerial vehicles and after receiving and demodulation in the receiving and transmitting unit of the direction finding radio signals and control signals for subsequent processing and measurement with a phase meter. After excluding the phase incursion, due to the relay of radio signals between the unmanned aerial vehicles and the ground control and display module, when taking into account the data of onboard navigation systems from each unmanned aerial vehicle and the navigation system of the ground control and display module, it is possible to determine additional results of direction finding by devices for calculating the bearing and decreasing errors in determining bearings.

The operation of the system by the method of direction finding of a radio signal source in accordance with this method is as follows. Unmanned
In accordance with the invention, when used) in the
The control of the receiving paths of the
