Hairdressing appliance (1) contains locking-unlocking system (22) designed so that to ensure retention of the reservoir and the tampon in the active position.

Technology area

The present invention relates to hairdressing curling irons of the curling type, and more particularly to such hairdressing devices which are provided with a steam generating system including a reservoir of liquid, a tampon to be wetted with liquid, and a heating element with which said tampon contacts.

In addition, such a hairdressing device contains a rod and a plate, and these parts are pivotally connected, forming a clamp, which provides the possibility of clamping a strand of hair in order to wind it around the rod and thereby curl it.

State of the art

From patent applications WO 0167915 A2 and EP 1894488 A1 such hairdressing devices are known, having the above characteristics, which allows steam to be generated during the curling of the hair strand.

The reservoir with the liquid is located at the end of the rod, and the tampon to be wetted with the liquid is made in one piece with this reservoir and communicates with it in such a way that it is wetted by the specified liquid. A heating element is placed in the rod. Guiding means are placed between the reservoir and the rod, making it possible to transfer the reservoir and the tampon from a passive position to an active one, in which the tampon contacts a heating element, which creates the possibility of generating steam. This generation takes place by manually moving the tampon reservoir.

While curling a strand of hair, the user must pinch the strand of hair, wind it around the bar, and then continue to press down on the reservoir so that the liquid-wetted tampon is kept in contact with the heating element and, accordingly, continuous steam is generated. Because of this, they suffer

ergonomic qualities of modern hairdressing devices with similar characteristics.

In addition, the user has to calculate the duration of the treatment of the hair strand with steam in order to achieve the treatment of the curled hair strand for the required time, which should not be too short (for the treatment to be effective enough), nor too long (so as not to damage the hair). This requires special attention from the user during the curling process. In addition, the time of exposure to steam can vary greatly depending on the speed at which the user measures it. The user must keep the swab pressed against the heating element for the entire specified predetermined time.

Disclosure of the essence of the invention

The object of the present invention is to eliminate the above disadvantages.

The main technical problem solved by the invention is to relieve the user of the need to constantly press on the reservoir to generate steam during the curling process.

To solve this problem, the invention provides a hairdressing device for curling hair.

This hairdressing device contains a rod and a plate, hinged on the device with the formation of a clamp together with the rod, so that it is possible to move the plate from the position of detachment from the rod with the possibility of introducing a strand of hair to the position of pressing against the rod with the possibility of clamping a strand of hair in order to perform the subsequent curling operation.

The hairdressing device also contains a heating element and electrical means for driving said heating element.

In addition, the hairdressing device contains a reservoir with a liquid and a tampon made in one piece with the reservoir and communicating with it in such a way that it is wetted by the liquid. Guiding means are placed between the reservoir and the rod, making it possible to transfer the reservoir and the tampon from a passive position to an active one, in which the tampon contacts a heating element, which creates the possibility of generating steam.

In addition, the hairdressing device is equipped with a locking-unlocking system designed in such a way as to ensure that the reservoir and the tampon are held in an active position, so that the user is freed from the need to hold the reservoir with the tampon in the indicated active position during the entire curling operation.

In accordance with one preferred embodiment of the hairdressing device according to the invention, the lock-unlock system is designed to keep the reservoir and tampon in an active position when the plate is pressed against the shaft. This makes it possible to start the curling and steam generation operation only after the hair strand has been pinched. Conversely, the locking-unlocking system is designed in such a way that it is possible to release the reservoir and the tampon into a passive position when the plate is in the detached position from the rod. However, it is possible to envisage such embodiments, according to which the locking-unlocking system will perform the above holding and releasing functions regardless of the position of the plate in relation to the rod.

In accordance with one preferred embodiment of the hairdressing device, the lock-unlock system comprises a first locking element located on the reservoir and a second locking element located at the distal end of the plate. Said blocking elements are made so that they interact with each other, ensuring the holding of the reservoir in a position opposite the plate when the specified plate is in the position of pressing against the rod and when the reservoir and the tampon are in the active position.

In accordance with one embodiment, the first blocking element and the second blocking element are configured to be fixed to one another so as to ensure the said retention of the reservoir in the desired position relative to the plate. However, other variants of the first and second blocking elements can be envisaged, provided that the scope of the invention is protected.

Preferably, when using this embodiment, the first blocking member is a U-shaped elastic piece with a taper and the second blocking member is a pad located on the inner side of the plate, the taper will maintain the elastic piece in cooperation with the pad.

In the hairdressing device according to the invention, the lock-unlock system includes means for returning the reservoir and tampon to a passive position. This ensures that the steam is automatically cut off without the need for additional manipulations with the hairdressing device.

In the hairdressing device according to the invention, a filling hole is provided in the reservoir, which allows the reservoir to be reused after the liquid has run out.

The proposed hairdressing device is equipped with a system for determining the active position of the reservoir and tampon. It allows you to determine when the steam generation operation starts while curling the hair strand.

In accordance with one preferred embodiment of the hairdressing appliance, the heating element includes an evaporation plate with which the tampon comes into contact in an active position. In addition, the detection system is provided with means for detecting a drop in temperature of said evaporation plate, which is triggered when a swab soaked with liquid comes into contact with said evaporation plate.

If such a system for detecting the active position of the reservoir and tampon is available, the hairdressing device according to the invention preferably comprises a reference unit, the detection system being configured to activate the reference unit when the reservoir and tampon move from a passive position to an active position. This eliminates the need for the user to count down the retention time of the hair strand wound around the rod during the steam generation process.

Implementation of the invention

As shown in FIG. 1 and 2, the hairdressing device 1 comprises a body 2, a rod 3 and a plate 4. The body 2 is designed in such a way that it is possible to manipulate the specified hairdressing device 1 during its operation. The rod 3 has a cylindrical shape and is a continuation of the body 2 in the direction along its longitudinal axis X. The plate 4 has a circular shape, consistent with the shape of the rod 3. The near end 5 of the plate 4 is attached to the lever 6, which is hingedly connected to the distal end 7 of the body 2. Through pressing the back part 8 of the lever 6 makes it possible to move the plate 4 to the position of detachment from the rod 3, which allows you to insert a strand of hair between the rod 3 and the plate 4. Between the distal end 7 of the body 2 and the lever 6 there is a spring 9, which allows you to move the plate 4 to the position pressing against the rod 3 (see Fig. 1) after the cessation of pressing the lever 6, due to which it is possible to clamp a strand of hair (not shown here) inserted between the specified rod 3 and the specified plate 4.

As seen in FIG. 1-3, the hairdressing device 1 comprises a reservoir 10, in which an opening 11 is made, located in the region of its proximal end 12. This opening 11 serves to fill the reservoir 10 with liquid. There is a tampon 13 placed in a tubular casing 14, which is secured to the reservoir 10 in the region of the said proximal end 12. This tampon 13 communicates with the opening 11, thereby allowing it to be wetted. The reservoir 10 and tubular casing 14 are slidably mounted on the distal end 15 of the rod 3, which makes it possible to translate these elements and the tampon 13 along the longitudinal axis X with respect to the rod 3. As a result, it becomes possible to transfer the entire assembly (reservoir 10, tubular shell 14 and tampon 13) from the active position, in which the proximal end 16 of the tampon 13 abuts against the evaporation plate 17 (see Fig. 3), thereby generating steam, to the passive position, in which the proximal end 16 of the tampon 13 is separated from the specified evaporator plate 17. A spring 18 is provided, placed in the bottom 19 of the tubular casing 14 and pressing against the distal end 20 of the tampon 13, which allows it to maintain a sufficient pressing force against the evaporator plate 17 in the indicated active position. The evaporator plate 17 contacts the heating element 21, for example in the form of a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor, thereby conductively heating said evaporator plate 17. In addition, the heating element 21 heats the rod 3.

A locking-unlocking system 22 is installed on the hairdressing device 1 to hold the reservoir 10, tubular sheath 14 and tampon 13 in the above active position. As shown in FIG. 1-5, this lock-unlock system 22 operates between the curved wall 23 of the reservoir 10 and the distal end 24 of the plate 4. A groove 25 is formed in the curved wall 23 and extends to its proximal end 26, as shown in FIG. 4. This groove 25 receives a U-shaped elastic piece 27, said elastic piece 27 having a taper 28 (see FIG. 4). This elastic piece 27 serves as the first locking element. As seen in FIG. 5, there is a strip 29 extending on the inner side 30 of the plate 4 in the region of its distal end 24. This strip 29 serves as a second locking element adapted to be inserted into the elastic part 27. When the plate 4 is pressed against the rod 3 in the clamping position strands of hair, and the reservoir 10 is in a passive position, the patch 29 enters the groove 25 outside of the elastic part 27. When the reservoir 10 then enters the active position, the said elastic part 27 engages with the patch 29 until the taper 28 will not go behind the specified pad 29, as a result of which the fixation of the elastic part 27 on the pad 29 will occur, or vice versa, due to which the reservoir 10 will be held in this active position and, therefore, the tampon 13 moistened with liquid will be held in the position of pressing against the evaporating plate 17.

As shown in FIG. 3, between the evaporating plate 17 and the tubular casing 14 are placed spring-type return means 31, which makes it possible to exert a force on the said tubular casing 14 in the direction of arrow 32. By fixing the cover 29 in the elastic part 27, the reservoir 10 is held in the desired position relative to the plate 4 in spite of the mentioned force exerted by the spring. Conversely, when the user has moved the plate 4 to the position of separation from the rod 3, the plate 29 moves away from the elastic part 27, as a result of which the spring pushes the tubular shell 14 with the reservoir 10 (and the tampon 13) back to the passive position, as a result of which the generation of steam stops.

It is advisable that the hairdressing device 1 is equipped with a system for determining the active position of the reservoir 10, the tubular casing 14 and the tampon 13, in which steam is generated. This detection system includes means 33 for detecting a drop in temperature of said evaporating plate 17. These detectors 33 themselves include a temperature sensor, preferably in the form of a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor. As shown schematically in FIG. 6, this temperature sensor is placed so that it contacts the inner side 34 of the evaporation plate 17. When the proximal end 16 of the tampon 13 comes into contact with the outer side 35 of the evaporation plate 17, this evaporator plate 17 undergoes a sharp drop in temperature, which is detected by the temperature sensor ... This sensor transmits information about the temperature drop to the electronic control unit 36 (see Fig. 2), which includes a counting unit that counts the time (for example, ten seconds) during which steam generation and heating of the rod 3 should be maintained after how a lock of hair is wound on this bar 3. The user can adjust this duration by means of preset values for the duration of exposure to steam (for example, 5, 8 or 10 seconds), and the adjustment is accessible from the user interface located on the hairdressing device 1. After the selected duration, the counting unit transmits information to the electronic control unit 36, which turns on an audible signal, for example, a "beep", or a light signal indicating to the user that it is necessary to separate the plate 4 and the rod 3 in order to release the reservoir 10 and the tampon 13 with their transfer to passive position and thus stopping the generation of steam before the curled section of hair is removed ...

The reservoir 10 is made with the possibility of its removal from the distal end 15 of the rod, which opens access to the opening 11 in this reservoir 10 for filling it with liquid. To this end, the proximal end 12 of the reservoir 10 is removably connected, more specifically by means of a snap-fit, to the bottom 19 of the tubular shell 14.

Thanks to the above description, it is possible to understand the essence of the invention, while the scope of its legal protection is not limited. Thus, other embodiments are possible, in particular with regard to the use of a lock-unlock system to ensure that the reservoir 10, tubular sheath 14 and tampon 13 are held in an active position. This locking-unlocking system can be placed, for example, between the reservoir 10 or tubular casing 14 on the one hand and the distal end 15 of the rod 3 on the other side, regardless of the position of the plate 4.

Other modifications can be envisaged, provided that the scope of legal protection is preserved. Thus, for example, a cover (not shown) can be provided to allow the distal end 37 of the reservoir 10 to be released for the purpose of filling it with liquid without having to remove the reservoir 10 from the distal end 15 of the rod 3.

Claims (10)

1. A hairdressing device (1) for curling hair, containing a rod (3), a plate (4) hinged on the device with the formation, together with the clamp rod, with the possibility of moving the plate from the position of detachment from the rod to the position of pressing against the rod, a heating element ( 21), a reservoir (10) with a liquid, a tampon (13) made in one piece with the reservoir and communicating with it with the possibility of absorbing liquid, and guide means located between the reservoir and the rod to enable the reservoir and tampon to be transferred from a passive position to active position, in which the tampon contacts the heating element to enable the generation of steam, characterized in that the device comprises a lock-unlock system (22) to enable the reservoir and the tampon to be held in an active position. 2. The hairdressing device (1) according to claim 1, in which the locking-unlocking system (22) is configured to hold the reservoir (10) and the tampon (3) in the active position when the plate (4) is in the position of pressing against the rod (3), and allowing the reservoir (10) and tampon (3) to be released into a passive position when the plate is in the detached position from the rod. 3. The hairdressing appliance (1) according to claim 2, wherein the locking-unlocking system (22) comprises a first locking element (27) located on the reservoir (10) and a second locking element (29) located at the distal end (24 ) plate (4), and the said blocking elements are made with the possibility of interacting with each other to ensure the holding of the reservoir (10) in the position opposite the plate when the plate is in the position of pressing against the rod (3) and when the reservoir and the tampon (13) are in active position. 4. The hairdressing device (1) according to claim 3, wherein the first blocking element (27) and the second blocking element (29) are adapted to be fixed to one another. 5. The hairdressing device (1) according to claim 4, in which the first blocking element (27) comprises an elastic U-shaped piece with a taper (28), and the second blocking element (29) comprises a patch located on the inner side (30) plate (4), while the narrowing ensures the retention of the elastic part in interaction with the pad. 6. A hairdressing appliance (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the locking-unlocking system (22) includes means (31) for returning the reservoir (10) and tampon (13) to a passive position. 7. A hairdressing device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which a filling hole is formed in the reservoir (10). 8. A hairdressing device (1) according to any of the preceding claims, which comprises a system for detecting the active position of the reservoir (10) and tampon (13). 9. A hairdressing device (1) according to claim 8, in which the heating element (21) includes an evaporation plate (17) with which the tampon (13) contacts in an active position, and the detection system is provided with means (33) for detecting a drop in temperature the specified evaporator plate (17). 10. A hairdressing device (1) according to claim 8 or 9, which comprises a reference unit, the detection system being configured to activate the reference unit when the reservoir (10) and tampon (13) move from a passive position to an active position.
