Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the control of lap welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, one of which is thin-walled by rolling, operating under repeated static or cyclic loads and can be applicable, for example, to control welded joints of structural elements of combustion chambers of gas turbine engines used in gas compressor stations .
There are ultrasonic methods for testing welded joints described in paragraph 10 of GOST R 55724-2013 “Non-destructive testing. Ultrasonic methods ”, which consists in detecting defects in the form of discontinuities both in the weld metal and in the weld zone.
The disadvantage of this method is the reduced accuracy of control of welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, since these joints contain a stress concentrator at the transition from the weld metal to the main element of a smaller thickness. In the absence of defects in the form of metal discontinuities, the location on this section of additional structural concentrators leads to premature destruction of the structure during its operation.
A known method of control of welded joints described in the method of repairing shafts (RF patent 2537418 class. B23P, publ. 10 01 2015), which takes into account structural components in the form of non-metallic inclusions. So, in hazardous sections of the transition sections from the surfacing metal to the base metal, the presence of accumulations of non-metallic inclusions is determined by the macrostructure of the shaft cross section, based on which the parameters of the subsequent welding processes are determined. The disadvantage of this method is the reduced accuracy of control of welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, because additional structural components are not taken into account, the location of which in stress concentrators also reduces the durability and reliability of the operation of welded joints of elements of various thicknesses.
Closest to the proposed invention relates to a method for controlling welded joints, described in the method for restoring parts by surfacing (RF patent 2599656 class B 23K publ. 10 10 2016), in which the presence of a non-destructive method is detected at the areas of transition from the weld metal to the base metal lowered thicknesses of defects in the form of metal discontinuities, non-metallic inclusions, decarburization, based on the parameters of which determine the parameters of the welding process.
The disadvantages of this invention is the reduced accuracy of the inspection of lap welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, where one of the elements is made of thin-walled rolled products having an increased texture, which affects the durability of these joints during operation.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the accuracy of control of lap welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, where one of the elements is made of thin-walled rolled products.
1≤d2/d1<4.To achieve this goal, a method for controlling lap welded joints of elements of various thicknesses is proposed, one of which is made by thin-walled rolling, including measurement of a thin-walled element at a depth of t at the transition from weld metal to the base metal, which is less than or equal to the value of the heat-affected zone, the actual sizes grains in the directions of hire d 2 and d 1 perpendicular to it and the calculation of their ratio, which determines the parameters of safe operation of the welded joint in the
The implementation of the control method is presented in Fig. 1, where 1 and 2 are thin-walled and thickened elements to be welded, respectively, 3 - lap weld seam, 4 - weld heat-affected zones, 5 - transition section from surfacing
The case of the presence of equiaxed grain in
The control of welded joints is as follows.
1≤d2/d1<4.In the area of metal (alloy) of
This control method can be applied both in existing structures during their scheduled shutdown for inspection purposes to determine the suitability of lap welded joints for further operation, and in their manufacture.
In the first case, non-destructive testing of the actual grain is carried out according to GOST R 53205-2008 "Determination of grain sizes by the acoustic method." In this case, when d 2 / d 1 deviates from the parameters of safe operation of the connection, sensors are installed for continuous monitoring of the formation of discomforts (cracks), the appearance of which is signaled to the control panel of the operated structure.
1≤d2/d1<4.In the manufacture of welded joints of this type, it is advisable to carry out both the above control of the actual grain in
The choice of the depth of the grain size determination section at a depth t≤c is due to the fact that, with the reinforced texture of the rolled metal (Fig. 1), the fracture starts from the surface of the
The fulfillment of the condition d 2 / d 1 <1 is possible only if the rolling texture of
When d 2 / d 1 ≥4, under the influence of cyclic or repeated static loads, fracture proceeds in the manner shown in FIG. 2, and the number of cycles to failure of the compound depends on the ratio of d 2 / d 1 , phase structural components (for example, one or two-phase steel) and a number of other factors.
An example of a specific implementation.
Investigations were made on prematurely destroyed during operation welded lap joints used in the elements of the inner casing of the combustion chambers of the DG90G2.L gas turbine engine of five serial numbers. A total of 15 welds were examined. All samples had a fracture pattern similar to that shown in FIG. 1. Elements of welded joints are identical in structural and geometric parameters, namely,
1.The control results are presented in table 1.
The invention improves the accuracy of the inspection of lap welded joints of elements of various thicknesses, one of which is made by thin-walled rolling, which affects the increase of their reliability and durability (safety) during operation.
