Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, veterinary medicine and biology, to the field of pathological physiology and, directly, to modeling obesity in herbivores in an experiment.
Н. Экспериментальное ожирение. http://coollib.com/b/251783/read#t186).To model experimental hormonal obesity, insulin with glucose is used. Exogenous obesity is modeled by limiting the motor activity of animals and overfeeding, especially carbohydrate food (Zaiko NN Pathological physiology. Chapter 14. Experimental obesity. Http://coollib.com/b/251783/read#t186).
The disadvantages of this technique is that, regardless of the administration of insulin, the emphasis is on overfeeding with carbohydrate-rich foods. At the same time, the balanced intake of nutrients and trace elements is not ensured.
There is a method of simulating obesity in the experiment, which includes feeding an animal with high-calorie food on the background of injecting insulin in conditions of physical inactivity, characterized in that 10 minutes before feeding, 1 unit of insulin is injected per 10 kg of animal weight, feeding is performed 3 times a day with standard the amount for a given weight of the animal with balanced feed and, in addition, feed with a high content of animal fats, without limitation. (RF patent No. 2582826, authors: Salekhov S.A., Salekhova M.P., Maksimyuk N.N. et al. Official Bulletin of Rospatent No. 12, Published: 04/27/2016). However, the use of this method in herbivores leads to digestive upset and does not allow to achieve the desired result.
The task of the invention is to improve the modeling results of alimentary obesity in herbivores.
This is achieved by the fact that in the method for simulating obesity in herbivores, including feeding an animal with high-calorie food on the background of injecting insulin in hypodynamia 10 minutes before feeding, injecting insulin at a dose of 0.05 U per 1 kg of animal weight is performed before each feeding feeding is carried out fractionally 6 times a day, divided into equal portions of the daily amount of balanced feed required for a given weight of the animal, and then, in addition, with a high content of feed vegetable fats without restriction.
The method for simulating obesity differs from the known one in that, against the background of physical inactivity 10 minutes before feeding, 0.05 IU of insulin is injected per 1 kg of the animal’s weight, while feeding is carried out fractionally 6 times a day, divided into equal portions of the standard daily amount the amount for a given weight of the animal with balanced feed, and then, in addition, a feed with a high content of vegetable fats without limitation.
Injection administration of 0.05 IU of insulin per 1 kg of animal weight 10 minutes before feeding activates the appetite, which ensures eating food, dividing food into 6 portions during the day ensures uniform intake of balanced feeds and foods rich in vegetable fats. The inclusion in the diet of balanced feed in sufficient quantities, taking into account the weight of the animal, provides its body with the necessary nutrients and minerals. At the same time, the emphasis on the additional inclusion in the diet of feed with a high content of vegetable fats ensures that lipids enter the body.
Considering that the digestion of carbohydrates from the digestive tract occurs much faster than proteins and fats, the intake of additional foods rich in vegetable fats ensures eating a larger amount of balanced foods rich in vegetable fats after intake of balanced foods, which provides a faster weight gain and the development of obesity in an animal.
The proposed method for simulating obesity in the experiment allows to achieve the result - an increase in the weight of the animal (rabbits, guinea pigs) by more than 25% of the original within 1-1.5 months.
The method is as follows. Animals create a regime of physical inactivity, before each feeding for 10 minutes, 0.05 IU of insulin per 1 kg of animal weight is injected. After this, feeding is performed 6 times a day, dividing into equal portions the daily amount of a balanced feed containing the necessary nutrients and minerals in an amount sufficient for the animal, sec. given its weight. Then, in addition, foods high in vegetable fats are included in the diet without limitation.
The proposed method with a positive result was applied in 30 rabbits. Within 1-1.5 months, the weight of the animals increased by more than 25% of the initial weight, registered when weighing before the start of modeling obesity.
Example.
An adult rabbit weighing 2.4 kg was placed in a cage, exceeding its size by 2 times. Feeding was carried out portionwise 6 times a day, dividing the normative amount of balanced feed into equal portions. Before each feeding, 10 minutes before its start, 0.12 units of insulin (0.05 units per 1 kg of weight) was subcutaneously administered. After feeding with a standard balanced food, depending on the animal’s appetite, without restriction, undercooked mixtures of potatoes and vegetables with unrefined vegetable sunflower oil were given in a ratio of 2: 1: 2. When weighed after 4 weeks, the weight of the animal was 3.15 kg.
Thus, the method for simulating obesity in herbivores allows us to solve the problem - improving the results of modeling alimentary obesity in herbivores in an experiment with a balanced intake of nutrients and trace elements into the body of the animal due to faster weight gain.
