Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of epidemiology, microbiology and disinfection and can be used to control the treatment of hands with skin antiseptics.
In the system of measures to ensure sanitary and epidemiological well-being in medical organizations, an important role is played by the disinfection of the hands of medical personnel, which are not only a factor in the transmission of various pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, but are also able to maintain viability on the skin of the hands with a risk of spread. Therefore, approaches to determining preventive measures aimed at preventing the transmission of microbes through the hands are associated with their disinfection - the treatment of the hands of medical personnel with skin antiseptics.
A known method of bacteriological control of the effectiveness of the treatment of hands with antiseptics, which consists in the following. Wash off the hands of personnel with a sterile gauze cloth 5 × 5 cm in size, dipped in a neutralizer. Palms, periungual and interdigital spaces of both hands are carefully wiped with a gauze napkin. After sampling, a gauze napkin is placed in wide-necked tubes or flasks with saline and glass beads, and shaken for 10 minutes. The liquid is sown in a deep manner on 2 Petri dishes with meat peptone agar (0.5 ml each) and in 2 test tubes with 0.5% sugar broth (1 ml each). Crops are incubated at a temperature of 37 ° C for 48 hours.
11). The lack of growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic bacteria indicates the effectiveness of the treatment. (“Methods of sanitary-bacteriological studies of environmental objects, air and sterility control in medical organizations”, Methodological guidelines of MUK 4.2.2942-11, p. 11).
The main disadvantage of this method is the long duration of the analysis (more than 2 days), which complicates operational control. At the same time, timely treatment of hands during a shift with skin antiseptics registered in the prescribed manner minimizes the risks of transmission of pathogenic microorganisms.
The proposed method is aimed at solving the problem and achieving a technical result, consisting in simplifying the procedure for monitoring the treatment of hands with skin antiseptics, reducing the risk of the spread of pathogenic microorganisms in medical organizations, food and processing enterprises and public utilities.
The technical result is achieved by the described method for controlling the treatment of hands with skin antiseptics, including collecting the flush from the hands of the test person and treating the flush with reagents, and before processing the hands with a skin antiseptic, 0.2 - 1.0% of the mass is added to the antiseptic. dimethylglyoxime, washing off the hands of the subject is taken with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol, it is treated with 10% sodium hydroxide solution and 0.4% nickel acetate solution and the quality of hand disinfection is controlled by the color of the stain.
The method of controlling the treatment of hands with antiseptics is based on the interaction in an alkaline medium of Ni 2+ nickel salts with dimethylglyoxime contained in the skin antiseptic. The resulting bis (dimethylglyoximato) nickel (II) has a characteristic pink color, and with a large amount of nickel - red. A discoloration indicates the treatment of the hands with a skin antiseptic.
Handling by personnel during the work shift should be carried out repeatedly, which is an important factor in reducing the risk of the spread of pathogenic microflora. So, the personnel of a medical organization on average should process their hands at least 10 times per shift, which does not always happen.
The described method allows you to control the treatment of hands with alcohol-based skin antiseptics (the content of ethanol, 2-propanol and / or 1-propanol should be at least 45% by weight), which contain dimethylglyoxime.
To implement the method using the following reagents:
- Ethanol 70% aqueous solution.
- Nickel acetate tetrahydrate 0.4% aqueous solution.
- Sodium hydroxide 10% aqueous solution.
- Cotton swabs from sanitary cotton.
The method is as follows.
On a cotton swab with a surface area of about 10 cm 2 , apply 3 ml of a 70% ethanol solution with a Pasteur pipette.
The back and the inside of the hands of both subjects are wiped with a swab moistened with alcohol. The swab is placed in a centrifuge tube and the lid is tightly closed. A tube containing a swab is opened, 1 ml of a 10% solution of sodium hydroxide and 3 ml of a 0.4% solution of nickel acetate are successively added with different pipettes. Close the vial tightly with a lid and shake to completely wet the swab with solutions.
When a pink or red stain appears on a cotton swab, the test result is considered positive. This means that the subject's hands were treated with a skin antiseptic.
If the swab has a barely noticeable light green color, then the test result is negative.
