Abstract
Description
The technical solution relates to devices for measuring electric current, in particular to digital current meters, and can be used for non-contact conversion of the measured current into a digital code using magnetoresistive sensors with compensation for associative and multiplicative temperature errors, as well as errors from an external magnetic field, which can find application in automatic control systems, in devices for charging car batteries and mobile equipment, as well as in counting ah electrical energy.
Known recommendations for the use of magnetoresistive sensors Philips Semiconductor for measuring current [1]. The recommendations indicate the main error factors of magnetoresistive sensors when measuring electric current - this is the effect of an external magnetic field, as well as the dependence of the additive and multiplicative errors of the sensors on temperature. To compensate for the error of exposure to an external magnetic field, a circuit is proposed with the parallel inclusion of two oppositely located sensors. To compensate for the temperature error, it is proposed to use a thermistor, with which it compensates for the temperature drift of zero (additive error) and sensitivity coefficient (multiplicative error). The disadvantage of the proposed schemes is the use of a separate thermistor and trimming resistors, which complicates the circuit and complicates the temperature calibration of the sensor, which is performed under the influence of extreme operating temperatures.
Known magnetoresistive current sensor [2]. The sensor contains a magnetoresistive bridge, conductors of magnetization reversal and control. The conductors are located above the pairs of magnetoresistors of the shoulders of the bridge so that the magnetic induction vectors in the conductors of the passage of the magnetization reversal current and control are directed in opposite directions. This allows you to compensate for the effect of an external magnetic field. This technical solution cannot be used for serial magnetoresistive sensors.
Known magnetoresistive sensor with temperature compensation [3]. The sensor contains a magnetoresistive bridge, the magnetoresistors of which have a positive TCS. The shoulders of the bridge are supplemented with thermistors having a negative TCS. As a result, the total sensor TCS is compensated. The disadvantage of the technical solution is the complex technical implementation, which requires the manufacture of a specialized sensor, as well as the lack of compensation for the influence of an external magnetic field and temperature error in the sensitivity of the sensor to the magnetic field of the current conductor.
A device and method based on a magnetoresistive sensor [4], which allows you to use it both for measuring magnetic field strength and temperature. The technical solution proposed two sensor power circuits - from a constant current source and a constant voltage source through a resistor. The voltage from the sensor diagonal characterizes the temperature, the voltage from the measuring diagonal - the magnetic field. The disadvantage of this solution is the temperature error of the sensor output signal.
A known current sensor [5], selected as a prototype. The current sensor contains two magnetically sensitive bridges made on the Hall elements, and two conductors that create magnetic fields for magnetically sensitive bridges in opposite directions. The outputs of the bridges are connected respectively to the first and second instrumental amplifiers, the outputs of which are connected to the corresponding inputs of the third amplifier. In the output difference voltage of the third amplifier, the additive error of the sensor and the influence of an external magnetic field are compensated, and the output signal is doubled. The disadvantage of the sensor is the lack of a digital interface, the low sensitivity of the Hall sensors, which is insufficient for measuring low currents, as well as the non-linearity of the output signal from the measured current and its dependence on temperature and fluctuations in the supply voltage.
The proposed technical solution eliminates the disadvantages of the prototype. The technical result of the invention is to increase the sensitivity of the sensor and ensure the linearity of its output signal from the measured current, which is independent of temperature and fluctuations in the supply voltage.
The problem is solved due to the fact that in a digital current sensor containing two magnetosensitive bridges installed equally and two conductors connected so that the measured current flows into them from input to output for the bridges installed above them in opposite directions, the outputs of the bridges are connected respectively with the first and second instrumental amplifiers, the outputs of the amplifiers are connected to the corresponding inputs of the third amplifier, the following differences are provided, as magnetically sensitive bridges magnetoresistive bridges are used, a resistor, a fourth instrumentation amplifier with a given bias voltage and gain, as well as an ADC are included in the bridge power supply circuit, bridges are powered by a voltage source and are connected in parallel through the power supply circuit, a resistor is connected to the input of the fourth instrumentation amplifier, the output of which is connected to the input voltage of the ADC, the output of the third amplifier is connected to the measuring input of the ADC.
There is a causal relationship between the set of essential features of the claimed digital current sensor and the achieved technical result, namely, the use of magnetoresistive bridges provides an increase in the sensitivity of the current sensor by almost two orders of magnitude compared to Hall sensors and the linearity of its characteristics from the measured current, the voltage across the resistor bridge power circuit, supplied to the input of the instrumental amplifier with a given bias and gain voltage connected to the input of the reference conjugation ADCs to compensate the temperature error of the current sensor sensitivity.
