Abstract

FIELD: animal breeding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to light industry. Claw sharpener for cats contains a claws sharpening unit (1), made of vertically arranged corrugated cardboard strips (3), located inside the packing box (2). Packing box (2) is made in the form of a transformer box designed to form the working position of the claw sharpener for storing, transporting and operating of the claws sharpening unit (1). Claws sharpening unit (1) is made in the form of a panel (5) having the form of a flattened parallelepiped with a working surface (4) for claws sharpening. Vertically oriented by the end parts strips of corrugated cardboard (3) are adjacent to each other by their sides. Panel width is chosen to be equal to 1–2 times the width of the cat body average size. Panel length is 0.5–1.5 of the length of the cat body average size. Ratio of the panel width to its length is 0.2–0.4. Ratio of the panel thickness to its length is 0.05–0.1. Transformer box is made in the form of a flat parallelepiped from a material with the addition of a catmint. Upper panel (5) is a hinged cover. On the upper panel (5) along its perimeter and perpendicular to the longitudinal side at an equal distance from each other, the perforation lines (7) are made for the free separation of the upper panel (5) from the body and the formation of a voluminous stand-stop (8) for the claws sharpening unit (1), designed to form the claws sharpener working position. On the upper panel (5) inner surface adhesive tapes (9) are fixed. At the end of the box-transformer in its central part the valve-suspension (10) is made.

EFFECT: providing expansion of the product functional capabilities due to the modernization of the design and changes in overall dimensions and enhancement of safety measures when used.

Description

The invention relates to light industry, and more particularly to accessories and products intended for the care of animals, mainly cats, and is intended for use when sharpening the claws of cats and as a toy for cats.

A cat or domestic cat is a pet, one of the most popular, along with a dog, "companion animals." From a zoological point of view, a domestic cat is a mammal of the cat family, a predatory order. Previously, a domestic cat was often considered as a separate biological species. From the point of view of modern biological systematics, a domestic cat is a subspecies of a forest cat.

Being a solitary hunter for rodents and other small animals, a cat is a social animal that uses a wide range of sound signals, as well as pheromones and body movements for communication.

Currently, there are about 600 million domestic cats, about 200 breeds are bred, from longhair (Persian cat) to hairless (sphinxes), recognized and registered by various felinological organizations.

Cats are very clean animals. Along with various hygienic procedures, cats always look after their claws. Under normal conditions, claws that are too long will grind down when climbing trees and from running, and then the upper, old dead stratum corneum is removed from the claw in the form of an empty shell. In captivity, a cat sharpens its claws on improvised objects. In some cases, the claws must be cut, but it is important not to touch the pulp - a blood vessel reaching almost the tip of the claw.

Grooming a cat’s claws is a rather dangerous event, which, through negligence, can harm the health of the animal.

Nowadays, various claw points are becoming very important - devices specially designed for the cat's claw point.

In the prior art, there are many different designs of clawpaws - from the smallest to the largest, in the form of houses for cats, and made of various materials.

The well-known “Claw for cats” (see patent software No. 72357, publication September 16, 2009, MKPO 30-99), characterized by the presence of a panel in the form of a horizontally oriented parallelepiped with a working surface for sharpening claws from sheets of corrugated cardboard, adjacent side to side to each other having a vertical orientation of the end parts.

The closest in design to the proposed product is “Kogtedralka home” (see https://mypet-online.ru/product/kogtetochka_dlya_koshek_standart/M16), which consists of a block for sharpening claws made of vertically arranged corrugated cardboard strips, which is placed inside the packing box.

A packing box with a block is additionally packed in shrink film. A bag with an herbal mixture intended for sprinkling on a work surface to attract the attention of an animal is under the film.

The well-known claw roll is mobile, has an additional function - a bench. If desired, it can be moved to any room or taken with you, for example, on a trip. An animal can not only sharpen its claws, but also use it simply as a couch. A dry mixture of herbs additionally attracts the animal and holds its attention for a period of time.

However, well-known claw-claws (claw-bumps) also have disadvantages.

A very significant drawback is the use of a dry mixture of herbs.

The use of a mixture of dry grass in the "open form" does not allow to evenly distribute the mint during application, which leads to uneven wear of the block.

Also, the functional purpose of the well-known claws is quite limited - either it functions simply as a claw-point, or as a claw-point and bed. Many owners wanted to have claws with more advanced features.

In addition, the overall dimensions of the product are very important, which would allow the product to be used for more cats of different body sizes.

Achievable when using the proposed invention, the technical result is the expansion of the functionality of the product due to the modernization of the design and changes in overall dimensions and increase safety measures when used.

The claw blade contains a block for sharpening claws 1 (Fig. 1, Fig. 2), placed inside the packing box 2. The block for sharpening claws 1 is made of vertically arranged corrugated cardboard strips 3 (Fig. 3), forming a working panel 4, and has the shape of a flattened parallelepiped with a working surface for sharpening claws.

Corrugated cardboard strips vertically oriented by the end parts 3 on the sides are adjacent to each other.

Corrugated cardboard strips 3 are made of primary D22 double-layer corrugated cardboard of profile B and are interconnected using an adhesive solution that is safe for cat's health.

In order to attract the attention of a cat and ensure the safety of her health, dried catnip grass is used, which is not used in open form, but added to the composition of the glue in a proportion of preferably not less than 0.001%, but not more than 99.999% by weight of the glue. The percentage of addition of dried catnip to the glue composition was obtained experimentally and is optimal, since an increase in the percentage of grass from the above enhances the attractive effect on the animal, but worsens the bonding characteristics, and with a reduced percentage, on the contrary, cats do not react to the product at all and can compact the block so that the animal will damage the claws and paw pads on the hardened layer of glue.

In order to provide the cat with the opportunity to sharpen its claws on two front paws at once, the width of the working panel 4 of the block for sharpening claws 1 is chosen equal to 1-2 widths of the average size of the cat’s body, the length of the working panel 4 is 0.5-1.5 lengths of the average size of the cat’s body, the ratio of the width of the working panel 4 to its length is 0.20 ... 0.4, and the ratio of the thickness of the panel 4 to its length is 0.05 ... 0.1.

Packing box 2 is made in the form of a transformer box designed to form the working position of the claw point, for storage, transportation and operation of the block for sharpening claws 1.

The transformer box (packing box 2) is made in the form of a flattened parallelepiped, the top panel 5 of which is a hinged lid 6 (Fig. 2). On the upper panel 5 along its perimeter and perpendicular to the longitudinal side at equal distance from each other there are perforation lines 7 designed to ensure free separation of the upper panel 5 from the case of the transformer box (packing box 2) and the formation of the volumetric support-stop 8.

Stand-stop 8 is designed to form the working position of the claw point. In FIG. 4 - shows the preparation of the product for operation, the initial formation of the stand-stop 8, in FIG. 5 - shows the support-stop 8 in the form of a flat panel in the form of a rectangle in the position of the workpiece for its formation. The support-stop 8 from a flat workpiece is formed into a volumetric body in the form of a prism (see Fig. 6).

Adhesive tapes 9 are fixed on the inner surface of the upper panel 5, which are designed to form a support stand 8 from a flat state to a bulk one.

At the end of the transformer box in its central upper part, a suspension valve 10 is made, which is designed to form the working position of the claw point in a vertical position, for example, on a wall.

The proposed product - claw point operates as follows.

The proposed claw point has advanced functionality. First of all, it functions as a tool for sharpening the claws of an animal at home, at the same time it can be used by an animal as a bed, and as a toy in various positions - horizontal, vertical, inclined and in the form of a toy swing.

As a working and main position for a claw point, a block for sharpening claws 1 is used.

To bring the claw point to the working position, the transformer box is transformed (packing box 2). For this, the upper panel 5, which is made in the form of a hinged lid 6, is opened and separated from the main body along the perimeter along the perforation lines 7. A working panel is formed in the form of the base of the transformer box with the claw sharpening unit 1 inside it (Fig. 3) .

In FIG. 3 shows a block for sharpening claws 1 and at the same time one of the working positions of the claw point is horizontal, which can be used both as a bench and as a claw point.

By means of a suspension valve 10, the claw-box transformer box can be vertically mounted on the wall. In this position, the claw point can be used both as a claw point and as a toy.

To form a claw-point in the position of a toy swing or a toy in an inclined position, a support stand 8 is formed from the upper panel 5 separated from the main transformer box (hinged cover 6).

In FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 shows the process of forming the support-stop 8 from the upper panel 5 (hinged lid 6) into a three-dimensional body (FIG. 6). On the transverse lines of perforation 7 using adhesive tapes 9 form a support stop 8 in the bulk body. The volumetric body of the support-stop 8 has the shape of a prism (see Fig. 6).

This form of stand-stop 8 is selected as the most convenient and functional for the formation of various gaming positions of the claw point.

For example, one of the game positions (Fig. 7), when the support-stand 8 is located in the middle part of the length of the claw point block 1 with the formation of the game's most "favorite" playing position - a swing. The animal spends a long time with the clawfish (playing) in such a playing position.

In FIG. 8 shows one more of the game positions of the claw point, when the support-stop 8 can be installed, for example, at one of the ends of the block for sharpening claws 1.

Then the whole claw point will be set at an angle to the horizontal plane. If you change the position of the stand-stop 8 along the length of the block for sharpening claws 1, then you can find the optimal angle of inclination of the claw point to the horizontal surface, the angle at which it will be convenient for the animal to use the product as a claw point and as a toy.

Thus, the proposed claw claw for cats has enhanced functionality, is safe for the health of the animal and has optimal overall dimensions, which allow it to be used for cats of different overall sizes.
