Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of poultry, namely to breeding chickens.
All economic, biological and productive traits of animals are predetermined by genotype and inherited. The heritability of most traits of meat chickens is due to the genotypes of individuals and the influence of the environment of H.F. Kushner (1972). And at the same time, a number of signs are interconnected. The selection task is to select individuals of the desired genotype according to phenotypic traits that correlate with their productivity. The sooner and more accurately the animal is evaluated, the higher the selection effect.
The egg production of chickens and their meat productivity are negatively correlated with each other, therefore, it is necessary to develop such a selection method that would objectively evaluate the possibility of the manifestation of both characters in the productive period in chickens.
A known method of selection of meat chickens at the age of 60 days by live weight (II Kochish, MG Petrash, SB Smirnov. Poultry. - M: KolosS, 2003, - 407 S.). At this age, the correlation between live weight of youngsters and egg laying of hens r = + 0.6-0.7. The live weight indicator is a criterion for the intensity of metabolic processes in birds.
The disadvantages of the method
1. This method is not applicable when breeding meat chickens, because from 28 days are transferred to limited feeding
2. Environmental conditions largely determine the manifestation of this trait and make a big mistake in determining the value of the animal.
3. Late selection period, in connection with which there are difficulties with the technology of keeping the remaining bird.
There is another method for predicting the productivity of chickens by biochemical blood parameters (Edygova SB Development of a method for selecting eggs according to qualitative characteristics when optimizing the conditions of embryogenesis .: Author. Diss. ... Ph.D. Biological Sciences. - Krasnodar, 2013. - 27 p.) . As a criterion, an indicator of the concentration of phosphorus in the blood is used. The low level of P (phosphorus) in the blood of day old chickens is evidence of a high level of energy metabolism in the body, which in turn implies a more active use of nitrogen in production processes (egg production, live weight) in adult chickens during the productive period. The level of phosphorus in the blood is evidence of the genotypic predisposition of the body to manifest higher productivity, which is based on the effective use of feed nitrogen.
The method provides objective and sufficiently accurate data for assessing animals for future productivity, but it also has certain disadvantages:
1. The conclusion about the effectiveness of the use of nitrogen in feed for production processes in the body is made indirectly through the content of phosphorus in the blood.
2. A blood test must be carried out in the first hours after hatching after incubation and before the first feeding, otherwise the indicators will be incorrect.
3. The high price for each sample during biochemical analyzes
4. Sampling is already a stress for the chicken and this affects the accuracy of the analyzes.
The technical result is to increase the accuracy of the early selection of young meat of chicken breeds for meat and egg productivity.
The technical solution to the problem is achieved by the fact that according to the invention, litter is used as a biological object; at the same time, chickens and males are preliminarily placed in cages separately, moreover, fresh chicken litter per day is taken at the age of 7-28 days and the mass fraction of nitrogen is determined in the average sample, and juveniles are taken at a mass fraction of nitrogen of 6.12-6.55% chickens in a breeding group.
The claimed technical solution differs from the prototype in the following:
1. Selection of chickens for the intensity of production processes is carried out directly for nitrogen - the main substance involved in protein synthesis.
2. Improves the accuracy of the forecast productivity of birds.
3. Low labor costs and the cost of evaluating young chickens. At times, the speed and quantity of young animals selected increases.
4. The method does not require highly qualified breeder.
These differences allow us to conclude that the proposed technical solution meets the criterion of "novelty."
According to scientific, technical and patent information, the claimed combination of features has not been identified, which allows us to conclude about the inventive step of the claimed technical solution.
Industrial applicability of the method lies in the fact that it can be used for breeding meat chickens according to their productivity in the breeding season at an early age in order to improve the accuracy and objectivity of the evaluation of young chickens.
An example implementation of the method
Immediately after hatching, the chickens are separated by the cloacal floor. Chickens and males are seated and kept separately until maturity. Evaluation and selection of young fish for future productivity is carried out from the age of 7 days to 28 days. At the age of 7 days, chickens are seated in individual cages. Under the trellised floor of the cage, plastic pallets are installed to collect litter. For the experiment, an analysis of the litter of young females of 10 days of age was carried out for the mass fraction of total nitrogen. For the experiment, young Plymouthrock chickens of 100 heads were used. The whole bird was tagged. After determining the mass fraction of nitrogen in the average sample of the litter, young animals were grown to maturity. The egg laying of chickens was carried out individually for each chicken. Studies have shown that between the nitrogen content in bird droppings and egg laying of chickens in the productive period there is a negative correlation r = -0.56. The relationship is reliable at P≤0.95. Thus, the selection of young chickens at an early age by the proportion of total nitrogen in the litter makes it possible to increase the accuracy of estimating young chickens by egg production in the productive period while reducing labor costs and the cost of evaluation.
The table shows the most contrasting results of the experiments. The determination of nitrogen was carried out according to the Kjeldahl method (P.T. Lebedev, A.T. Usovich. Methods for the study of animal feed, organs and tissues. - M.: Rosselkhozizdat, 1986, 389 pp.).
Studies have shown that the smaller the mass fraction of nitrogen in the litter of chickens, the higher the egg production of chickens in the productive period. Thus, the mass fraction of total nitrogen in the litter indicates the intensity of energy and production processes in the bird's body.
