Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the production of products from high temperature composite materials (CM) for various applications, including aviation and rocket and space technology, engine manufacturing, railway equipment, power engineering, etc.
Н.Э. - 516 с.]. Согласно этому способу изготовление каркаса-основы композиционного материала производят путем пропитки наполнителя в виде нити, ленты или ткани связующим с высоким коксовым остатком, который прессуют в соответствии с требуемой формой изделия, и проводят неокислительный отжиг (карбонизацию).A known method of manufacturing a porous skeleton-base composite material, including the operation of pressing and non-oxidative annealing (carbonization) of the porous fiber preform [I.M. Bulanov, V.V. Sparrow. Technology of rocket and aerospace structures from composite materials. - M.: Publishing House of MSTU. N.E. Bauman, 1998. - 516 p.]. According to this method, the manufacture of the base frame of the composite material is carried out by impregnating the filler in the form of a thread, tape or fabric with a binder with a high coke residue, which is pressed in accordance with the desired shape of the product, and non-oxidative annealing (carbonization) is carried out.
д.).The framework-base of the composite material obtained by this method, due to the relatively coarse discreteness of the filler in the form of a thread, fabric or a core framework, has an inhomogeneous structure, which manifests itself when grinding the surface, which does not allow, in particular, to provide a roughness comparable to for example, with a metal roughness, which is necessary for a number of applications as structural elements (turbine blades, wing edges, etc.).
The required uniformity of the surface structure of the base frame can be achieved using short fibers (up to several millimeters long). Such randomly reinforced composites are widely used, in particular, in brakes for aircraft and high-speed vehicles. However, the complex of physico-mechanical characteristics of the composites obtained from them (first of all, tensile strength) does not allow using them as structural elements for a large class of products due to the low volume fraction of fiber.
Наиболее близким к предлагаемому способу по совокупности существенных признаков является способ получения каркаса-основы композиционного материала марки Novoltex, принятый за прототип [Alain LACOMBE, Thierry PICHON, Marc LACOSTE. 3D Carbon-Carbon composites are revolutionizing upper stage Liquid Rocket Engine performance by allowing introduction of large nozzle extension. 50th AIAA/ASME/ASCE/AHS/ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference
17th 4-7 May 2009, Palm Springs, California. Paper N° AIAA 2009-2678 / 119-SDM-75 High Temperature Materials session A. LACOMBE], Closest to the proposed method for the combination of essential features is a method of obtaining a framework-base composite material brand Novoltex, adopted as a prototype [Alain LACOMBE, Thierry PICHON, Marc LACOSTE. 3D Carbon-Carbon composites are revolutionizing upper stage Liquid Rocket Engine performance by allowing introduction of large nozzle extension. 50th AIAA / ASME / ASCE / AHS / ASC Structures, Structural Dynamics, and Materials Conference
17 th 4-7 May 2009, Palm Springs, California. Paper N ° AIAA 2009-2678 / 119-SDM-75 High Temperature Materials session A. LACOMBE], including the use of filler in the form of a thread, tape or fabric, the layers of which are joined by needle punching with layers of stapled polymer fiber — oxidized polyacrylonitrile — which has been pulled by non-woven techniques. with a high coke residue, and then carbonized to transfer the polymer component of the frame in an inorganic state.
The disadvantage of the closest in technical essence of the method is the relatively narrow scope of its application, since it allows you to get the frame-basis of the composite material with an acceptable pore size within one layer (from 4 to 20-25 microns), however, it has a significant interlayer space in the frame of the Novoltex type (0.75 mm), which does not allow to obtain a surface roughness not higher than, for example, metal.
The problem that is solved in the invention is the expansion of the scope of the method with the aim of obtaining a framework frame of a composite material having high temperature resistance, high strength and surface roughness of no more than the roughness of the metal.
The required technical result is to expand the scope of the method in order to improve the quality and obtain a framework-base of a composite material with a surface roughness not higher than metal.
The problem is solved, and the desired technical result is achieved by the fact that in the method, which is subjected to needle puncture staple polymer material with high coke residue and conduct subsequent carbonization by non-oxidative annealing, according to the invention as a staple polymer material with high coke residue, which is subjected needle-piercing to break it, use non-woven canvases from such a material, apply a binder to the fibrous canvases, and then produce them sieving at a temperature of 120-200 ° C and a pressure of 3-5 MPa for 10-12 hours, and before carbonization is cooled to room temperature, using a binder that melts at a pressing temperature, hardens at room temperature and completely decomposes upon carbonization, which carried out by firing at a temperature of 1000 ° C for 1-2 hours with simultaneous pressing with a pressure of 0.1-0.15 MPa.
In addition, the desired technical result is achieved by the fact that a sizing agent (for example, a quaternary aminoethoxylate) is used as a binder, which is applied to staple fibers before combing to ensure separation.
In FIG. 1 shows the microstructure of the Novoltex carbon framework based on the prototype method; FIG. 2 - the microstructure of the carbon frame base according to the invention.
A method of manufacturing a porous framework-base composite material is as follows.
From a stapled polymer fiber with a length of 50-60 mm, average tortuosity and a linear density of 5 dtex based on oxidized polyacrylonitrile, polycarbosilane, polysilazane or another polymer that, after annealing, forms a high coke residue, respectively, in the form of carbon, silicon carbide or hydroxycarbide, silicon nitride or silicon carbonitride or another inorganic compound of carbon or ceramic type, using non-woven technology methods form a canvas from which flat or tubular blanks are collected, they are subjected to needle upholstery, and subsequent heating of the base of the composite material is carried out to a temperature of 120-200 ° C and pressed with a pressure of 3-5 MPa for 10-12 hours while cooling to room temperature, and carbonization after heating and pressing the base is carried out by firing at a temperature of 1000 ° C within 1-2 hours with simultaneous pressing with a pressure of 0.1-0.15 MPa.
Previously, before forming the canvas, a layer of organic substance is applied to the surface of the staple fibers by spraying or by any other method, melting at a pressing temperature of 120-200 ° C and hardening at room temperature. Such a substance may be specially applied to the surface of staple fibers to facilitate carding sizing. For this reason, the compressed billet retains its shape and dimensions at room temperature after depressurization.
1).During annealing, the pyrolysis of polymer fibers also occurs, accompanied by significant shrinkage without loss of coke residue flexibility and maintaining significant strength. Shrinkage contributes to the bonding of the workpiece without the high coke binders traditionally used for this, and the density of the resulting frames and the volume fraction of fiber in them makes it possible to produce, among other things, power structures (up to 0.4-0.5 ρ fibers ). Geography stapled fibers in the volume of the pressing contributes to their tension during the transition from the polymer to the inorganic state, which contributes to the production of sufficiently strong fibers. The characteristic size of the structural cell of such a framework (Fig. 2) has a size of 4 to 29 μm, which is more than 25 times smaller than the similar size of the Novoltex framework (Fig. 1).
Thus, the required technical result is achieved, which consists in expanding the scope of the method in order to improve the quality and obtain a skeleton-base of a composite material with a surface roughness not higher than metal.
