Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of energy and is intended for use in nuclear power plants (NPPs) with water-cooled reactors.
A known method of reserving auxiliary needs of nuclear power plants (see RF patent No. 2520979, IPC-G 21 D 01/00, F 01 K 23/10, G 21
The disadvantage of this method is the need for a new energy carrier - natural gas, as well as the installation of an extended steam pipeline from the main power unit to the PTU, which is part of the CCGT unit, since the steam turbine must be in operation in case of a complete blackout of the nuclear power plant, and the operation of the gas turbine at night is not economical and will result to reduce the range of maneuvering power. The use of an extended steam line will result in significant hydraulic and heat losses. In addition, in the daytime, a small steam flow rate will also have to be pumped through the steam line connecting the PTU and the steam generator of the nuclear power plant to eliminate the likelihood of water hammer if it is necessary to quickly turn on the steam turbine in an emergency situation with blackouts. During cooling, a significant part of the energy is used to maintain the circulation pumps of the condenser, while the energy discharged in the condenser can be accumulated and is useful for further cooling.
There is a method of dampening a water-cooled reactor with a complete blackout of nuclear power plants (see RF patent for invention No. 2499307, IPC-G 21 D 01/00, F 01 K 23/10, G 21 D 05/08, G 21 D 03/08, publ. . 11/20/2013). The known method involves cooling the water-cooled reactor in the normal mode with a complete blackout of the nuclear power plant, without using emergency reactor cooling systems, by using the energy of the residual heat of the core, as well as burning hydrogen fuel using an additional steam turbine.
The disadvantage of this method is the high cost and complexity of the hydrogen complex. The use of explosive fuel, especially at nuclear power plants, requires significant safety costs. In addition, the number of elements involved in cooling is significantly increasing (combustion chamber, compressor units, shut-off and control valves of containers, etc.), which leads to a decrease in the reliability indicators of this method. During cooling, a significant part of the energy is used to maintain the circulation pumps of the condenser, while the energy discharged in the condenser can be accumulated and is useful for further cooling.
A known method of damping and decommissioning power unit of a nuclear power plant or a nuclear power plant for another purpose when completely de-energized and a device for its implementation (see RF patent for invention No. 2162621, IPC
The disadvantage of the proposed system is the limited range of tasks: a steam turbine installation, including a turbine, a feed pump, an oil pump and a DC generator, are in a state of immediate readiness for work (in hot standby mode or in operation with a minimum load), which also reduces the availability to work in case of emergency and requires additional costs for maintaining them in working condition. In addition, the use of superheated water stored in the thermal accumulator for generating steam in the expander leads to inevitable significant heat consumption for changing the phase state of superheated water. During cooling, a significant part of the energy is used to maintain the circulation pumps of the condenser, while the energy discharged in the condenser can be accumulated and is useful for further cooling.
The closest analogue is the well-known power plant (see ed. certificate of the USSR for invention No. 1133428, IPC F 01
A disadvantage of the known installation is that it is designed to increase the maneuverability of a nuclear power plant unit in operating modes and cannot be used to cool the reactor when the nuclear power plant is completely de-energized, since the steam generated by the residual heat generation according to the scheme proposed by the authors cannot be used in a steam turbine, and the accumulated heat is not enough to cool down for 72 hours (time required by the IAEA). In addition, the phase transition battery has a complex and expensive design, and therefore has not received development in modern energy. During cooling, a significant part of the energy is used to maintain the circulation pumps of the condenser, while the energy discharged in the condenser can be accumulated and is useful for further cooling.
The objective of the present invention is to provide power to the auxiliary needs of the reactors of a nuclear power plant using only the energy of the residual heat of one reactor without including additional sources of electricity.
The technical result achieved by using the present invention is to provide electric power to the auxiliary needs of nuclear power plants during the cooling of reactors with complete de-energization by using the energy of the residual heat of the active zone of one reactor to heat the feed water and generate steam used as a working fluid in an additional steam turbine generating in emergency mode, when the power is completely de-energized, the electric power needed to cool down, and in normal mode, electric roenergiyu to the network using the heat accumulated in the electric load clock failure.
