Abstract
Description
Изобретение относится к области психологии и может быть использовано при решении различных прикладных задач узкоспециального назначения.The invention relates to the field of psychology and can be used to solve various applied problems of a highly specialized purpose.
Способ объективного измерения эмоциональных установок, защищенный от влияния преднамеренного и/или непреднамеренного искажения и ограничений, связанных с индивидуальными особенностями рефлексии. Способ измеряет выраженность и эмоциональную валентность отношения к объекту установки.A method of objective measurement of emotional attitudes, protected from the influence of intentional and / or unintentional distortion and limitations associated with individual characteristics of reflection. The method measures the severity and emotional valency of the relationship to the installation.
One of the limitations of traditional psychodiagnostics is that the tendency to use psychoactive substances (surfactants), like many other forms of impulsive behavior (addictions, suicidal tendencies, destructiveness, pedophilia, etc.) is latent in nature. This is due to the deliberate concealment (dissimulation) of such a tendency in connection with fear of punishment, collapse of a career and / or criminal liability. Dissimulation is the main obstacle to the timely detection of addictive and impulsive behavior and its timely prevention.
Currently used questionnaires and questionnaires provide reliable information only subject to voluntary participation in testing. In a situation of intentional dissimulation, traditional psychodiagnostic methods (questionnaires) do not guarantee the timely detection of psychological addiction. It has been reliably established that a common drawback of all questionnaire methods of psychodiagnostics is the poor protection of the survey results from conscious or involuntary distortions on the part of the subject (Psychodiagnostics. Textbook for universities - St. Petersburg: Peter, 2006). An incomplete list of questioning factors distorting the diagnostic picture is as follows: motivation to participate in the examination, individual characteristics, extracting information from memory, introspection ability, features of the procedure and research method, self-presentation and conscious masking strategy, unrecognizable defense mechanisms, sensitivity of the research topic to social desirability. The creation of sophisticated "scales of lies" allows us to solve this problem only partially. “Scales of lies” only warn the psychologist about the desire of the subject to bias the result, but they do not completely protect the results of the examination from these distortions.
Aware of this problem, the authors of modern questionnaires on the tendency to use psychoactive substances (PAS) follow the path of identifying typical personality traits characteristic of people prone to anesthesia or addictive behavior in general (Determination of the tendency to deviant behavior (A.N. Orel) / Fetiskin N.P., Kozlov V.V., Manuilov G.M. Socio-psychological diagnosis of the development of personality and small groups. - M .: Publishing House of the Institute of Psychotherapy. 2002. S. 362-370). As a rule, impulsive behavior is accompanied by accentuations of personality, traits of reduced psychological adaptation, asociality, psychopathization, emotional instability, etc. This aspect of the problem is well and comprehensively covered in both domestic and foreign specialized literature (Gogoleva A.V. Addictive behavior and its prevention. - 2nd ed., Sr. - M: Moscow Psychological and Social Institute; Voronezh : Publishing house NPO "MODEK", 2003). A common drawback of this approach is the lack of direct causal relationships between personality traits and the use of psychoactive substances and other forms of impulsive behavior. For example, the use of surfactants is determined by how emotionally attractive the subject is to try or continue to use surfactants (or practice other impulsive behavior), and how weak are the factors that inhibit this intention. The structure of the personality with dependent behavior plays the role of not a causal, but only a background factor.
In a situation of intentional concealment by a testee of his criminal tendency or awareness, the lie detector (bark detector, polygraph) significantly exceeds the questionnaires in terms of diagnostic accuracy (according to literature sources, the probability of disclosure approaches 90%). The principle of its work is based on the registration of objective physiological correlates of emotional states that arise in a subject in response to a asked question and accompany pondering and giving an answer. A significant drawback of the polygraph is the high price of one examination, which consists of the price of equipment, the cost of training a qualified specialist and the amount of time (at least 2-3 hours) to conduct an interview and process the results. This does not allow the use of a lie detector on a massive scale and prevents its widespread adoption.
Таким образом, ни традиционные опросники, ни полиграф не предоставляют необходимых средств для диагностики аддиктивного и импульсивного поведения, что заставляет искать альтернативные способы диагностической работы.Thus, neither traditional questionnaires nor the polygraph provide the necessary tools for diagnosing addictive and impulsive behavior, which makes us look for alternative methods of diagnostic work.
За последние три десятилетия когнитивная и социальная психология далеко продвинулись в область исследования неосознаваемых когнитивных процессов (см. обзоры в: Яныпин П.В. Измерения бессознательного - I. - Самара: «ВЕК ≠21», 2013; The psychology of evaluation. Affective Processes in Cognition and Emotion. Ed. by Jochen Musch & Karl Christoph Klauer. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers. Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2003). Были открыты новые методы измерения связей между эмоциональной памятью и когнитивными процессами (The handbook of attitudes / ed. by Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005). Был предложен целый ряд экспериментальных и диагностических процедур (Handbook of Implicit Social Cognition / Gawronski, B. and Payne, B.K., eds. Guilford, 2010), ознаменовавших важный прорыв в средствах объективного исследования влияния скрытых эмоциональных установок на принятие решений и поведение. Во всем многообразии опубликованных за минувшие десятилетия исследований можно выделить следующие ключевые закономерности:Over the past three decades, cognitive and social psychology has advanced far into the field of the study of unconscious cognitive processes (see reviews in: Yanipin P.V. Measurements of the Unconscious - I. - Samara: "CENTURY ≠ 21", 2013; The psychology of evaluation. Affective Processes in Cognition and Emotion. Ed. by Jochen Musch & Karl Christoph Klauer. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers. Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2003). New methods have been discovered for measuring the relationship between emotional memory and cognitive processes (The handbook of attitudes / ed. By Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005). A number of experimental and diagnostic procedures have been proposed (Handbook of Implicit Social Cognition / Gawronski, B. and Payne, B.K., eds. Guilford, 2010), which marked an important breakthrough in the means of objective investigation of the influence of hidden emotional attitudes on decision-making and behavior. In all the variety of studies published over the past decades, the following key patterns can be distinguished:
1. Очень быстрая активация памяти (несколько десятков миллисекунд) в ответ на появление объекта установки (Fazio, R.Н., Sanbonmatsu, D.М., Powell, М.С, & Kardes, F.R. (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238; Klauer, К.C, Rossnagel, C, & Musch, J. (1997). List-context effects in evaluative priming. Journal of Experimental. Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 23, 246-255).1. Very fast memory activation (several tens of milliseconds) in response to the appearance of the installation object (Fazio, R. N., Sanbonmatsu, D. M., Powell, M. C., & Kardes, FR (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238; Klauer, C. C, Rossnagel, C, & Musch, J. (1997). List-context effects in evaluative priming. Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning , Memory, and Cognition, 23, 246-255).
2. На пусковой стадии оценочного процесса объект установки либо его символический заместитель (изображение или название) могут автоматически вызывать его оценку без намерения, усилия и даже осознавания со стороны субъекта (Bargh, J.A., Chaiken, S., Govender, R., & Pratto, F. (1992). The generality of the automatic attitude activation effect. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 62, 893-912; De Houwer, J., Hermans, D., & Eelen, P. (1998). Affective Simon effects using facial expressions as affective stimuli. Zeitschrift Fuer Experimentelle Psychologie, 45, 88-98; Wittenbrink, В., Judd, С.M., & Park, B. (2001). Evaluative versus conceptual judgments in automatic stereotyping and prejudice. Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, 37, 244-252).2. At the start-up stage of the assessment process, the installation object or its symbolic substitute (image or name) can automatically cause its evaluation without intention, effort and even awareness on the part of the subject (Bargh, JA, Chaiken, S., Govender, R., & Pratto , F. (1992). The generality of the automatic attitude activation effect. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 62, 893-912; De Houwer, J., Hermans, D., & Eelen, P. (1998). Affective Simon effects using facial expressions as affective stimuli. Zeitschrift Fuer Experimentelle Psychologie, 45, 88-98; Wittenbrink, B., Judd, C. M., & Park, B. (2001). Evaluative versus conceptual judgments in automatic stereotyping and prejudice Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, 37, 244-252).
3. Благодаря моментальной автоматической неконтролируемой природе таковой оценки субъект не отдает себе в ней отчета, но она существенно влияет на его последующие суждения и поведение (Nosek В. A., Hawkins С.В., Frazier R.S. Implicit social cognition: from measures to mechanisms. Trends in Cognitive Sciences April 2011, Vol. 15, No. 4. P 152-159; Wittenbrink, В., Judd, С.M., & Park, B. (2001). Evaluative versus conceptual judgments in automatic stereotyping and prejudice. Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, 37, 244-252).3. Due to the instantaneous automatic uncontrolled nature of such an assessment, the subject is not aware of it, but it significantly affects his subsequent judgments and behavior (Nosek V. A., Hawkins S. V., Frazier RS Implicit social cognition: from measures to mechanisms Trends in Cognitive Sciences April 2011, Vol. 15, No. 4. P 152-159; Wittenbrink, B., Judd, C. M., & Park, B. (2001). Evaluative versus conceptual judgments in automatic stereotyping and prejudice. Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, 37, 244-252).
4. Автоматическая активация выражается в повышении доступности (accessibility), активационного потенциала категории, что проявляется в уменьшении латентного периода и вероятности ответов, характерных для измеряемой установки (Fabrigar L.R., MacDonald Т.K., Wegener D.T. The Structure of Attitudes // The handbook of attitudes / edited by Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005. P. 79-124).4. Automatic activation is expressed in increasing accessibility, the activation potential of the category, which is manifested in a decrease in the latent period and the likelihood of answers characteristic of the measured installation (Fabrigar LR, MacDonald T.K., Wegener DT The Structure of Attitudes // The handbook of attitudes / edited by Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005. P. 79-124).
5. Автоматическая стадия оценочного процесса предшествует следующей за ней стадии размышления и осознанного вынесения суждения, поэтому практически не зависит от осознаваемых искажающих установок (Krosnick J.A., Judd СМ., & Wittenbrink В. The Measurement of Attitudes // The handbook of attitudes / edited by Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005).5. The automatic stage of the assessment process is preceded by the next stage of reflection and informed judgment, therefore it is almost independent of conscious distorting attitudes (Krosnick JA, Judd SM., & Wittenbrink B. The Measurement of Attitudes // The handbook of attitudes / edited by Dolores Albarracin, Blair T. Johnson, Mark P. Zanna. Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Publishers, Mahwah, New Jersey London, 2005).
6. Автоматическая активация более характерна для наиболее сильных и устойчивых установок.6. Automatic activation is more characteristic of the most powerful and stable installations.
7. Автоматические процессы формируются при сочетании объекта установки с определенной эмоцией либо психическим состоянием, следующим непосредственно за, либо сопровождающим его.7. Automatic processes are formed when the installation object is combined with a certain emotion or a mental state following immediately after or accompanying it.
The last two conditions are characteristic for the formation of addictive and impulsive behavior. Its psychological basis is made up of involuntary irrational emotional attitudes (attraction, craving, dependence, hedonism), common to which is a deep positive relationship with the object of dependence based on a powerful neurophysiological dominant (Anokhina I.P. Biological mechanisms of dependence on psychoactive substances (pathogenesis) // Lectures on narcology. - Under the editorship of I.N. Ivants. - M .: Nolidzh, 2000). The measurement of this setting is the main task of diagnosing dependent behavior.
Прототипом предлагаемого способа является Тест Имплицитных Ассоциаций (Implicit Association Test, IAT.The prototype of the proposed method is the Implicit Association Test (IAT.
К. Measuring Individual Differences in Implicit Cognition: The Implicit Association Test. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. 1998, Vol. 74, No. 6, 1464-1480). IAT предназначался для измерения скрытых установок через измерение лежащих в их основе автоматических оценок. Метод предназначен также для измерения социальных стереотипов и самооценки (Greenwald A.G, Krieger H.L. Implicit Bias: Scientific Foundations. California Law Review, VOL. 94, July 2006, No. 4. P. 945-967; Янынин П.В., Варламова Е.И. Тест Имплицитных Ассоциаций (IAT): объективный метод косвенного измерения аттитюдов и социальных стереотипов. Научно-практический журнал "Системная психология и социология", 2013. 7. С. 106-115).The IAT procedure, in the most general sense, consists in calculating the difference between the sorting speed of paired bipolar categories of objects with two options for combining them with bipolar categories of attributes. Suppose you are faced with the task of sorting playing cards of four suits so that the crosses and spades lie on the right, and the tambourines and hearts are on the left. If the categories (in this case, suits) are pairwise connected by some common attribute (here, by color), the classification will take less time. The color inherent in both categories provides the basis for classification. On the contrary, if the task was to put the peak and the worms in one pile, and the tambourine and crosses in the other, the work would take more time. The idea is that according to the difference in speed under two conditions of classification, what is deduced is that the subjects have a certain strategy as an implicit basis for classification. The effectiveness of the IAT method does not decrease and when the presence of a certain classification strategy is not recognized or masked by the subject. The performance difference, based on the registration of latent reaction periods, for relevant and irrelevant classification problems is called the “Implicit Association Test Effect” (IAT effect). The IAT effect indicates the direction and relative strength of the relationship between the object and attribute categories. The stronger the connection, the greater the IAT effect, and the sign will show which direction the trend is going. The universality and generalization of the procedure makes it flexible and suitable for the study of a wide range of settings and categorical relationships. The Implicit Association Test (IAT) was proposed by three researchers from the University of Washington (USA), (Greenwald AG, McGhee D.E., Schwartz JLK. Measuring Individual Differences in Implicit Cognition: The Implicit Association Test. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. 1998, Vol. 74, No. 6, 1464-1480). The IAT was designed to measure hidden installations by measuring the underlying automatic ratings. The method is also intended for measuring social stereotypes and self-esteem (Greenwald AG, Krieger HL Implicit Bias: Scientific Foundations. California Law Review, VOL. 94, July 2006, No. 4. P. 945-967; Yanynin P.V., Varlamova E .I. Implicit Association Test (IAT): An objective method for indirect measurement of attitudes and social stereotypes. Scientific and Practical Journal "System Psychology and Sociology", 2013. 7. P. 106-115).
Главным недостатком Теста Имплицитных Ассоциаций является то, что он позволяет измерять лишь относительный сдвиг эффекта к одному либо другому объекту установки (Nosek, В.A., Greenwald, A.G., & Banaji, М.R. (2005). Understanding and using the Implicit Association Test: II. Method variables and construct validity. Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 31, 166-180). The main disadvantage of the Implicit Association Test is that it only measures the relative shift of the effect to one or another installation object (Nosek, B. A., Greenwald, AG, & Banaji, M. R. (2005). Understanding and using the Implicit Association Test: II. Method variables and construct validity. Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, 31, 166-180).
This is due to the fact that the test subject is invited to respond in turn to stimulus objects that symbolize the objects of two competing settings, opposed to each other in the same experimental series. This excludes the possibility of measuring the installation for each object individually. For example, if you want to measure the installation for alcohol, the procedure necessarily requires the presence of a second object, for example, soft drinks, in the same series. The IAT will thus measure how much more the subject loves alcohol than lemonade or soda. For diagnosis, this creates difficulties, for example, if the results are in the region of zero effect. In this situation, we cannot say whether the subject is equally fond of both, either treats both objects with the same disgust, or is indifferent to both. But even if we get a strong shift in the IAT effect towards lemonade, we still won’t know how the subject relates to alcohol in itself.
Тест Имплицитных Ассоциаций выбран в качестве прототипа способа объективного измерения эмоциональных установок. Патентные заявки в реестре Роспатента на него отсутствуют.The Implicit Association Test is selected as a prototype of the method of objective measurement of emotional attitudes. There are no patent applications in the register of Rospatent for it.
Таким образом, способ-прототип сформулировал основные принципы, которые положены в основу методологического обеспечения способа объективного измерения эмоциональных установок. Однако, с целью преодоления указанных ограничений проведения и интерпретации результатов, процедура проведения исследования была существенно модифицирована, что позволило преодолеть указанные ограничения прототипа без существенного снижения точности измерения.Thus, the prototype method formulated the basic principles that underlie the methodological support of the method of objective measurement of emotional attitudes. However, in order to overcome the indicated limitations of conducting and interpreting the results, the research procedure was significantly modified, which made it possible to overcome the specified limitations of the prototype without significantly reducing the measurement accuracy.
С, & Kardes F.R. (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238), влияние которого невозможно учесть при классической процедуре IAT. Как результат, способ объективного измерения эмоциональных установок предоставляет исследователю существенно больший объем данных, обосновывающих окончательный The technical result is the ability to measure the emotional attitude towards objects of interest both in comparison and independently of each other. This provides an opportunity to make diagnostic conclusions about the emotional attitude to each object of interest of the researcher individually. When measuring settings for two or more objects, this also allows us to avoid the above situation of uncertainty in the interpretation that is inevitable in the prototype. At the same time, since the instruction, as in the prototype, explains the presence of installation stimulus objects with a classification task, this facilitates the measurement of the effect of evaluative priming (Fazio R.N., Sanbonmatsu D.M., Powell M.C., & Kardes FR (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238), the effect of which cannot be taken into account in the classical IAT procedure. As a result, the method of objective measurement of emotional attitudes provides the researcher with a significantly larger amount of data substantiating the final
These are: 1) latent periods of reaction to the presentation of stimuli-objects, symbolizing only the first installation object, in two separate series in two combinations with emotional words-attributes of the opposite valence; 2) latent periods of reaction to the presentation of stimuli-objects, symbolizing only the object of the second (competing) setting (if provided for by the experimental plan), in two combinations with emotional words-attributes of the opposite valency; 3) separate data for each of the independent groups of two series devoted to different objects of (competing) installations; 4) the result of cross-comparison of data between series in which stimuli-objects were presented, symbolizing different objects of settings, in combination with words-attributes of different valencies; 5) data of the priming effect for various combinations of presented stimuli. A variety of objective indicators of reactions (latent period, number of errors) allows you to make both more reasonable and more detailed assessment of emotional attitudes to the studied objects.
The technical result is achieved by measuring the difference in the reaction rate by pressing one of the two keys of the computer keyboard under the conditions of presentation in the center of the display of stimulus objects that symbolize only one object of the measured setup in a separate main experimental series (see Fig. 3-6), with two different combinations with those also displayed in the center of the screen, alternately with stimulus objects, two groups of emotionally polar attribute words under the conditions of an independent classification of stimulus objects and words ribut, the study of emotional relationship to one aspect of the installation is dedicated to a group of two major experimental series. In one experimental series of such a group, the positive component is investigated, and in the other, the negative component of the attitude to the installation object. As in the prototype, the role of stimulus objects is played by words and / or images symbolizing the installation object. For example, for the object “smoking” (smoking test is being investigated) these may be images of cigarettes and the smoking process; for the “do not smoke” object (the installation for a healthy lifestyle is being investigated) - images of crossed out cigarettes, etc. As in the prototype, words with a positive emotional valency are combined in the first group of attribute words, words with a negative emotional valence are combined in a second group of attribute words. As in the prototype, the set of words-attributes of emotionally positive and emotionally negative groups, and their binding to buttons throughout the study in all experimental series remains
В двух основных экспериментальных сериях первой группы в центре экрана экспонируются только стимулы-объекты, символизирующие первый из двух объектов установки (напр., «Не курю»), а в двух основных экспериментальных сериях второй группы - только стимулы-объекты, символизирующие второй объект установки (напр., «Курение»).constant (i.e., for example, words with a positive emotional valency are always tied to the left, and with a negative to the right button (Fig. 3-6)). In contrast to the prototype, stimulus objects that symbolize objects of different (competing) settings do not meet (except for training) together in any of the main experimental series. For example, if the installation for two competing objects is studied (“smoking” and “smoking cessation”), the experiment, in addition to two training series (Fig. 2), consists of two groups of two main experimental series. In the two main experimental series of the first group in the center of the screen, only stimulus objects are displayed that symbolize the first of the two installation objects (for example, “I don’t smoke”), and in the two main experimental series of the second group only stimulus objects that symbolize the second installation object are displayed (eg, "Smoking").
5, 6).The differences between the main experimental series in one group devoted to one installation object are determined by the binding of stimulus objects, for example, first to the right (the first main experimental series in the group) then to the left (second main experimental series in the group) buttons on the keyboard. In the first main experimental series of the group, the reaction rate to the appearance of a stimulus-object or word-attribute is measured with one predefined next instruction, binding of stimulus-objects to the right or left buttons, and the subject has at the top of the screen in accordance with the buttons for binding inscriptions with the category name object stimuli and the valency of attribute words, telling him the correct classification method (Fig. 3, 4). In the next main experimental series of the group, this combination is reversed by linking the installation object to the opposite button, and before the next main experimental series, the subject is given new instructions, and new inscriptions appear on the display at the top, suggesting the correct classification method (Fig. 5, 6).
Incentive objects are presented against a dark background in white or black and white images, and attribute words are presented against a dark background in green. This helps the subject perform the task of independent classification of stimulus objects and attribute words. As in the prototype, with an error, a red crosshair is displayed on the screen. The procedure of independent classification consists in the fact that when the next stimulus-object or attribute word is presented in the center of the screen, the test subject must press one of the two buttons to which, according to the instructions for this main experimental series, this stimulus is tied, and one and the same can be pressed the same keys in response to the appearance of both the stimulus-object and the attribute word. As in the prototype, before each main experimental series, the test subject is instructed in detail about which button in response to which stimulus he should press, and throughout the next main experimental series at the top of the screen, on the right and left, inscriptions are displayed (names of categories of stimulus objects and attribute words), tied to the right and left buttons, telling the subject the correct way to press the buttons (Fig. 2-6). The number of additional groups of the main experimental series exploring the relationship to more than two objects (competing) installations, in principle, is unlimited.
Способ осуществляется следующим образом.The method is as follows.
Эти названия должны точно отражать в представлении испытуемого исследуемую мотивационную тенденцию (Например: «КУРЕНИЕ» и «НЕ КУРЮ»).Preliminarily form two groups of semantic stimuli, which should be presented to the subject. These incentives may vary in accordance with the goals and objectives of the study. The first group of stimuli (stimuli-objects, or “primes”) are words and / or images that symbolize the object of the installation under study. It is recommended (although this is not necessary) to form at least two subgroups of stimulus-objects, symbolizing two alternative motivational trends. For example, if we study the impulsive tendency to smoke, then the object of the installation is the act of smoking itself (“smoking”), and it is logical to examine the competing attitude: attitude to a healthy lifestyle (“I don't smoke”) as the object of the second installation. The presence in the experiment of two alternative subgroups of stimulus-objects makes it possible to compare the strength of two competing attitudes, taking into account the probability that a behavioral act (an act of smoking, for example) is the result of a collision of multidirectional motivational tendencies. The symbols of the “smoking” object are combined into the first subgroup of stimulus-objects, and the symbols of the “do not smoke” object are combined into the second subgroup of stimulus-objects: at least four stimulus-objects for each installation object. It is also important to formulate exact and short names for the subgroups of objects of the studied installations, since they will be placed at the top of the right or left side of the screen in white as a hint for the correct left or right button click. These names should accurately reflect the studied motivational tendency (For example: “SMOKING” and “DO NOT SMOK”) in the subject’s representation.
The second group of semantic stimuli (attribute words) is two subgroups of emotionally opposed nouns and / or adjectives that have a clear positive and negative evaluative meaning in the subculture to which the subject belongs (for example, “happiness”, “kind”, “deception”, “Harmful”, etc.). Each subgroup of attribute words contains only positive or only negative words, eight or more in the group. It is also necessary to formulate two short and precise notations for the subgroups of attribute words, for example, “GOOD” and “BAD”. These names are placed at the top of the screen in green as a hint for the correct button presses.
В ходе экспериментальных серий черно-белые стимулы-объекты и зеленые слова-атрибуты поочередно предъявляются в центре экрана компьютера в соответствии с заранее подготовленным алгоритмом, при этом порядок их предъявления из списка рандомизирован.During the experimental series, black-and-white stimuli-objects and green words-attributes are alternately presented in the center of the computer screen in accordance with a previously prepared algorithm, while the order of their presentation from the list is randomized.
Before starting work, the subject is introduced to the general instructions (Fig. 1). According to the instructions, he should react to the appearance of words or images on the screen by pressing one of the two buttons on the keyboard, for example, the right and left arrows. Using these buttons, subjects should classify two groups of words and / or images. Groups vary in color and content. A group of stimulus objects is black-and-white images or white words on a dark background. Another group (green words on a dark background) consists of two groups of positive and negative words. The subject is familiarized in advance with the content of all stimulus groups, emphasizing that he should classify words and / or images of black-and-white and green groups independently of each other. Another important condition of the instruction is as quickly as possible pressing the corresponding buttons, without being distracted by extraneous irritants. In the event that the test subject made a mistake during the training and the main experimental series, a warning symbol will appear on the screen. In response to the warning, according to the general instruction, the subject simply has to press the alternative button as soon as possible and continue working.
2). На The study consists of two training experimental series and, at a minimum, a group of two main experimental series. Throughout the study, before each experimental series, a clarifying instruction is given that prescribes the actions of the test subject, and at the top of the screen (left and right) tips are given - names of groups of stimulus objects and attribute words corresponding to the right and left buttons (see Figure 2-6) . Within a separate series, these rules are unchanged. In the first training experimental series, subjects are trained to accurately respond to black-and-white stimuli-objects, in the second - to green attribute words. In the second training experimental series, for each of the two buttons on the computer keyboard through exercise, a positive and negative evaluation function is assigned, and the subject does not know the true purpose of the training (Fig. 2). On
протяжении всего исследования привязка зеленых подгрупп эмоционально противоположных слов-атрибутов к правой и левой кнопкам не меняется.throughout the study, the binding of green subgroups of emotionally opposing attribute words to the right and left buttons does not change.
Основные экспериментальные серии направлены на независимое измерение положительного и отрицательного отношения к объекту установки. Если исследуется установка только к одному объекту, то проводится одна группа из двух основных экспериментальных серий; если исследуются установки к двум и более объектам, количество основных экспериментальных серий увеличивается кратно двум для каждого объекта установки. Предупреждение об очередной ошибке выводится на протяжении всех экспериментальных серий.The main experimental series are aimed at independent measurement of the positive and negative attitudes towards the installation. If the installation to only one object is investigated, then one group of two main experimental series is carried out; if installations for two or more objects are investigated, the number of the main experimental series increases by a multiple of two for each installation object. A warning about another error is displayed during all experimental series.
In the first main experimental series, the installation object, symbolized by black and white words and / or images, is attached using the instructions to the button associated with positive words. At the top of the screen, on the side of its snap button, the name of the installation object (for example, the word “Smoking”) is placed as a hint. In addition to the name of the category of stimulus objects, words (eg, “Good” and “Bad”) are displayed at the top of the screen, indicating the buttons (left and right) that should be pressed when green words appear. According to the instructions for the next main experimental series, the test subject must press the corresponding button each time stimuli-objects appear on the screen, symbolizing the installation object indicated in the prompt; regardless of this, the test subject must press the corresponding buttons even when green attribute words appear (Fig. 5). Thus, the task of an independent classification is to press the same button in the case of the appearance of object symbols (black and white words and / or images), and in the case of a green positive word appearing on the screen after it; in case of a negative green word, the test subject must press the alternative button. If in the first of the two main experimental series devoted to this installation object, it was attached to the left button (associated with positive words), then in the next main experimental series of this group, its binding moves to the opposite button. Now, the test subject must press the same button when the stimulus object appears (black and white words and / or images, for example, symbolizing “Smoking”), and when a negative green attribute word appears after it (Fig. 6) . In total, each main experimental series includes from 30 to 90 consecutive combinations of “stimulus-object-word-attribute”, equally for positive and negative word-attributes. The order in which stimulus objects are bound first to the positive and then to the negative button is not critical
условием, и может быть изменен на противоположный, если это предусмотрено исследованием.condition, and can be reversed, if provided for by the study.
If you need to measure the installation for opposed objects (for example, the installation for smoking, and for quitting smoking), a similar procedure is carried out for the opposed object (for example, using images symbolizing the installation "Do not smoke") (see Fig. 3, 4 ) In this case, the full research procedure includes not two, but four main experimental series, combined into two groups. Combining series into groups has a logical rather than procedural meaning, i.e. this does not mean that the main experimental series belonging to one group cannot interleave with the main experimental series belonging to another group. The main principle of the claimed method is important: in a separate main experimental series, the relation to only one installation object is studied.
In the main experimental series, words and / or images of a subgroup of stimulus-objects alternate randomly with a constant or changing interval of presentation. The positive and negative attribute words that are displayed after them are also randomly alternated so that the subject cannot predict whether the positive or negative attribute word will appear at the next moment and which word will appear. After the stimulus-object, the word attribute is always exposed, and after the presentation of the word-attribute, before the presentation of the next stimulus-object, a variable time period of at least 100 ms is inserted. Attribute words are presented after the stimulus objects with an interval from 0 to 300 ms. The latent time for selecting the click on the right and left buttons of the keyboard is fixed with an accuracy of 1 ms.
The numerical indicator of the emotional attitude is the simple difference between the arithmetic mean latent periods of the test subject's conditions under alternative combinations of stimulus groups, and the difference between the sums of normalized deviations, weighted to the total arithmetic mean and standard deviations of the distribution of the test person’s reactions under alternative classification conditions — the Z-characteristics. As a measure of the significance of the emotional attitude at the individual level, parametric and nonparametric statistical criteria are used for the significance of differences between t-Student, T-Wilcoxon and Chi-Pearson square between the reaction rate to different combined groups of stimuli.
Латентные периоды нажатия на кнопки в ответ на предъявленные стимулы фиксируются в файле результатов с учетом всех существенных условий экспериментальных серий при разных комбинациях «кнопка - стимул-объект - слово-The latent periods of pressing the buttons in response to the presented stimuli are recorded in the results file, taking into account all the essential conditions of the experimental series with different combinations of “button - stimulus-object - word-
атрибут». При интерпретации результатов, как и в прототипе, принимается правило: скорость нажатия на кнопку определяется имплицитным присутствием в процессе классификации эмоциональной категории, сходством либо противоположностью эмоционального отношения, ассоциирующегося у испытуемого с объектом установки. Скорость реакция замедляется при несовпадении и ускоряется при совпадении эмоциональной валентности, связанной в сознании и/или подсознании испытуемого со стимулами-объектами и словами-атрибутами.attribute". When interpreting the results, as in the prototype, the rule is accepted: the speed of pressing the button is determined by the implicit presence in the process of classifying the emotional category, the similarity or opposite of the emotional relationship associated with the test subject. The speed of the reaction slows down when there is a mismatch and accelerates when the emotional valency associated in the subject’s consciousness and / or subconscious coincides with the stimulus-objects and attribute words.
С, & Kardes, F. R. (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238). 6.In contrast to the prototype, the source of information about the presence and nature of the emotional attitude is not only a comparison of the reaction time under two alternative classification conditions, but also a set of characteristics of the test subject's reaction when presented with isolated objects of competing attitudes separately. For example, a comparison of the latent periods of reactions in the two main experimental series of the group devoted to one object of the installation allows us to judge a positive or negative attitude only to it. In addition, the attitude to the presented stimulus-object affects the reaction rate to the emotional word-attribute, presented after it, as happens in the evaluation priming procedure (Fazio, R. N., Sanbonmatsu, D. M., Powell, M. C, & Kardes, FR (1986). On the automatic activation of attitudes. Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 50, 229-238). Averaged latent periods of situations “Fig. 3 minus Fig. 6 "are compared with those for situations" Fig. 4 minus Fig. 5". This makes it possible to take into account the difference in reactions when combining objects with “positive” and “negative” buttons, i.e. explore the estimated priming effect. If a person does not smoke, the reaction in the situation depicted in Fig. 3 will be significantly faster than that for the situation of Fig. 4, and the reaction in the situation depicted in Fig. 5, slower than that for the situation Fig. 6.
In the case of four main experimental series (2 × 2) with two sets of stimulus objects that symbolize the objects of two competing settings, both the stimulus object and the emotional attribute word are attached to one button, i.e. there is a task for the classification of stimuli (albeit in a reduced form, since the second object of the emotional setting is clearly not represented). Averaged latent periods of situations “Fig. 3 + Fig. 6 "are compared with those for situations" Fig. 4 + Fig. 5 ”, which is comparable with the IAT effect of the Implicit Association Test, as in the prototype.
