Abstract

FIELD: furniture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to units intended for mounting a furniture item on a wall, and aims at increasing reliability of mounting a furniture item on a wall. Positioning and supporting unit designed for mounting a furniture item on a wall, extending in a cantilever manner from said wall, and comprising a plate intended for attachment to said wall by means of first fasteners, and device, fixed inside ends of said furniture item and intended for connection with help of hooks to openings of said plates, wherein inter-axial distance "A" between openings of plates is substantially equal to inter-axial distance "A'" between hooks. According to invention, positioning and supporting unit comprises a combination of said plates with a bar designed to support plates, wherein said plate and bar comprise for this purpose second means of mutual connection, which provides essentially equality of said inter-axial distances "A" and "A'" during mounting of furniture item.

Description

This invention relates to a positioning and supporting unit, designed for quick installation on the wall of a piece of furniture, cantilever passing from the specified wall.

The invention also relates to a method of using said assembly. The proposed site and method is preferably, but not necessarily, used for cantilever mounting a block of a piece of furniture on a wall using so-called visible-type holders for blocks.

Visible block holders are well known to those skilled in the art and, in short, comprise a device that is mounted inside the end of the block. A hook passes from the specified device, which is made with the possibility of connection, for example, with the opening of the plate attached to the wall.

The position of the hook can be adjusted in height (vertical) and depth (horizontal) to ensure that the position of the block is fixed on the wall and in relation to other adjacent blocks.

A holder of this type is described, for example, in European Patent Application No. 2303068, to which reference should be made with further explanation and which should be considered as an integral part of this application.

An example of the general configuration of a possible used plate with the indicated holders for blocks is described, for example, in Italian patent applications MI 2010A001674 dated September 15, 2010 and MI 2011A000590 dated April 11, 2011, to which reference should be made and which should be considered as an integral part this application.

Easy, quick and safe installation of furniture blocks using the aforementioned block holders means fastening the plates to the wall in the proper position, especially with a mutual center distance substantially equal to the center distance between the hooks of the block holders.

Even small errors in positioning essentially make it impossible to mount the piece of furniture, which requires re-positioning of the plates on the wall with a significant loss of time and, therefore, with significant additional costs.

This disadvantage mainly arises when it is necessary to mount various adjacent blocks and when even small differences in the values of the interaxal distances of the plates are accumulated, which makes it practically impossible to install all the blocks without adjusting the position of the plates attached to the wall.

For the above reasons, attaching the plates to the wall is an extremely delicate operation that requires the intervention of assembly specialists.

The purpose of the invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawback of the prior art by creating a positioning and supporting assembly in which the plates are attached to the wall automatically at a mutual center distance absolutely equal to the center distance between the hooks of the block holders fixed inside the block end.

The above goal is achieved using the node having the features set forth in paragraph 1 and the dependent paragraphs of the attached claims, and using the method of application of the specified node, as claimed in paragraph 4.

The structural and functional features of the invention and its advantages relative to the prior art can be well understood from the following description, made with reference to the accompanying drawings, which depict examples of embodiments of the present invention and in which:

Figures 7-9 are perspective views illustrating a method of using the assembly of Figures 1-6,

10 and 11 are two views showing, respectively, a piece of furniture containing a holder for the block, and a positioning and supporting assembly in accordance with the invention, the dimensional parameters being shown in these drawings that must be ensured for proper assembly of the block on the assembly.

The proposed site is generally indicated in the drawings by the letter G.

Figures 7 and 9 depict a piece of furniture M (for example, a block), which should be cantilever hooked to a row of plates 20A attached to wall P (Figures 7 and 8).

The specified hook connection is carried out using the appropriate series of holders 21A for blocks, each of which is fixed inside the end face 22A of the furniture item M.

For this, the holders 21A comprise a protruding hook 23A which is attached to the recessed opening 24A of the corresponding plate 20A.

As noted above, the holders 21A and the plates 20A in their general configuration can be, for example, of the type that is widely described and depicted in the above patent applications, which should be referred to with any possible further explanation.

As is clearly seen from Figs. 10 and 11, and as is well known to those skilled in the art, the center distance “A” between the openings 24A of the plates 20A and the center distance “A '” between the hooks 23A should be the same to enable hooking of the piece of furniture (block) ) to the plates 20A. Only if this condition is fulfilled, hooks 23A can be attached to the corresponding opening 24A without the need for complex interventions to reposition the plates 20A on the wall P.

The node G and the method of its application proposed in the invention provide quick and automatic satisfaction of this requirement.

In accordance with Figs. 1-6, the proposed assembly is generally indicated by the letter G and is structurally made of a characteristic combination of a bar or drawn wire 25A (made, for example, of metal or plastic) and plates 20A.

The plates 20A are adapted to be attached to the wall P by means of fastening means 30A.

Below, the fastening means 30A are also called the first fastening means.

In accordance with the invention, second interconnecting means are arranged between the bar 25A and the plate 20A.

More specifically, in the strip 25A, second connecting means are provided which comprise threaded holes 28A appropriately spaced and intended to fasten the plates 20A to the strip 25A with screws 29A (FIGS. 1-6). Screws 29A pass through holes 34A in plate 20A (FIGS. 5, 7, and 8). Then, the plates 20A are attached to the wall P with fasteners 30A (first fastening means) passing through the eyes 31 A.

As is clearly shown and explained in FIGS. 10 and 11, the distances C and E between the components of each plate 20A enable quick and automatic connection of the hooks 23A of the holders 21A with the openings 24A of the respective plates 20A at the time of installation of the furniture piece M to the wall.

More specifically, in accordance with the invention, the following conditions are met: A = A ', where A = C + E + E = C + 2E. Moreover, A represents the center distance between the openings 24A of the plates 20A, and A 'is the center distance between the hooks 23A of the two holders 21A attached to the opposite ends 22A of the furniture item M (FIG. 10).

The assembly G according to the invention is applied in accordance with the operating steps illustrated in FIGS. 7-9 as follows: first, the plates 20A are screwed to the strip 25A with screws 29A to obtain a rigid assembly G, and then these plates (assembly G) are attached to the wall (ensuring alignment), as shown in FIG. 8, using fasteners 30A.

After that, the piece of furniture M can be attached to the wall, as shown in Fig.9.

Thus, the goal indicated in the introductory part of the description is achieved.

The scope of legal protection of an invention is determined by the attached claims.

Claims (4)

1. A positioning and supporting unit designed for mounting on a wall (P) of a piece of furniture (M) cantilever passing from a specified wall (P), and containing plates (20A) designed to be attached to the specified wall (P) using the first fasteners means (30A), and devices (21A), fixed inside the ends (22A) of the indicated item of furniture (M) and designed to be connected with hooks (23A) to the openings (24A) of these plates (20A), with the center distance “A "Between the openings (24A) of these plates (20A) is essentially equal to the center distance the distance "A '" between the specified hooks (23A), characterized in that it contains a combination of these plates (20A) with a strip (25A) designed to fix the plates (20A) on it, and these plates (20A) and the strip ( 25A) contain for this second means (28A, 29A) of interconnection, which ensures essentially the equality of the indicated interaxal distances "A" and "A '" during installation of the item (M) of furniture. 2. The assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that said second means (28A, 29A) comprise a threaded hole (28A) made in the strip (25A) and a screw (29A) passing through the hole (34A) in the plate (20A) ) 3. The method of application of the node according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it includes the following steps:
a) securing the plates (20A) on the bar (25A) to obtain a rigid node (G),
b) attaching said plates (20A), i.e. the assembly (G), to the wall using said first fixing means (30A) and
c) cantilever assembly of the unit of the item (M) of furniture on the wall (P) by inserting the hooks (23A) of the devices (21A) into the corresponding openings (24A) of the plates (20A) and their connection with them.
