Синдром поликистозных яичников (СПКЯ) считают гетерогенным заболеванием, наследственно обусловленным, характеризующийся нарушением менструального цикла, хронической ановуляцией, гиперандрогенией, увеличением размеров яичников, часто приводящий к бесплодию и осложнениям - ожирение и сахарный диабет 2 типа.
