SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer field. This plug consists of a solid case and contact site. Said solid case is provided with guide and two applied contact sets on straight and reverse direction. Contact site can turn to be set to two positions subject to direction of connection, turning and shifting in guides. Contact site incorporates spring-loaded base for connection of contact site with contact at said case.

Description

The invention relates to computer technology and is intended to provide a variable connection of the USB connector (Type A).

USB Type A connectors are known for their widespread use. The disadvantage of the USB connector (Type A) is its strict orientation when connected, which causes certain inconvenience in using USB devices.

There is a two-way UltraTek USB Flipper USB connector (http://www.flipperusb.com), the principle of which is based on replacing the contact pad with a thin plate in the middle of the plug with two contact groups. The disadvantage of this solution is the lack of structural strength and, as a result, poor connection of the contacts.

Also the closest in technical essence is Double U USB (http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/double-u-usb-port-works-both-ways-27-01-2011), the principle of which is based on the use of two independent contact pads that move and hide in the enclosure if there is an obstacle in the way.

The disadvantage of this solution is the likelihood of the simultaneous movement of both pads in the housing due to inaccurate entry into the barrier or "sticking" of one pad to another.

The objective of the invention is to provide a USB plug for two-way connection, devoid of the disadvantages of the above devices.

The required technical result is achieved by the fact that the robust housing is equipped with guides and two applied contact groups of direct and reverse direction, and the contact area of the plug is rotatable and has a spring base, which can take two positions depending on the orientation of the connector, moving along the guides.

The invention is illustrated by drawings, where in Fig.1 schematically shows a USB plug (side view), which contains

1 - a robust housing with two applied contact groups of direct and reverse direction;

2 - rotary contact pad;

3 - spring base of the site, also provided with contacts associated with the contacts of the turntable;

4 - guides on the housing for vertical movement of the contact pad.

Figure 3 shows the order of the contact connection,

where 6 are the contacts of the pads of the USB jack;

7 - contacts of the rotary platform of the plug;

8 - contacts of the spring base of the plug pad;

9 - contacts on the plug housing.

The device operates as follows (Fig. 2, Fig. 3): when the USB connector is connected, the contact pad of the socket (5) enters the plug housing and presses on the rotatable contact pad of the plug (2), which rotates and moves along the guides (4) down or up depending on the connection option. The spring base of the contact pad (3) performs the function of connecting the rotary contact pad to the contacts on the housing (1) and simultaneously presses it onto the contact pad of the socket. When the plug is pulled out of the socket, the rotatable contact pad assumes its original position. Such a device of the plug allows you to realize the variability of connecting the USB connector with a more reliable connection of the contacts of the plug and socket.

Two-way USB connector, consisting of a housing and a rotatable contact pad with a spring base, characterized in that the housing is equipped with guides and two applied contact groups of direct and reverse direction, and the contact pad is rotatable with the ability to take two positions depending on the orientation of the connection, turning and shifting along the guides, and has a spring base, which performs the function of connecting the rotary contact pad of the plug with the contacts on the housing, while pressing it to the contact pad of the socket.
