Abstract
Description
The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to materials used to improve and stabilize the soil, namely to mulch.
Mulching is one of the most effective ways to maintain plant health. The use of mulching helps to preserve the looseness of the soil, prevent its erosion and crust on it, significantly reduce weed growth and evaporation of moisture from the soil and, as a result, reduce the frequency of watering. In the summer, mulching does not allow the topsoil to overheat and maintains the optimum temperature for growth and development. Autumn mulching is used to protect the soil from weathering, leaching and freezing, which is the key to good plant development for next year.
- С.372).Straw and manure are widely used as mulching material (see N.G. Nikiticheva. The effect of mulching black soil and mulch species on some types of segetal vegetation. / Models and technologies for optimizing agriculture: collection of reports of the international scientific and practical conference, 9-11 September 2003, Kursk, 2003 .-- P.372).
The disadvantage of this type of mulching material is the likelihood of the appearance of pathogenic microflora on straw, in particular fungi, which in the soil are antagonists of aerobic microflora useful for plants. In addition, there is a high probability of the spread of pests and diseases transmitted through the remains of decayed plants, thus, the risk of transmission of disease to humans during transportation and manure application, and subsequently through the crop, is not ruled out. In addition, dung humus quickly changes its shape (structure), as a result of which it cannot be reused.
Also, as a mulching material, a polymer film is used, translucent or black, with holes 0.25-4 mm in diameter distributed over its entire area, laid on the surface of the soil (see A. Mishin. For garden and garden. Crafts and tips. Edition 2 -e. - M .: Moskovskaya Pravda, 1989, p. 18, council 88, Black beds).
The disadvantages of using polymer films are their light weight and smooth surface, which make it difficult to fix polymer mulch on the soil surface, and when the film is poorly fixed, the film is easily damaged by strong wind and careless handling of tools. The need to seal and remove the edges of the film tapes from the soil greatly complicates the implementation of mulch.
И.В. Тананаева Кольского научного центра РАН, http://www.kolasc.net.ru/russian/innovation_ksc/3.28.pdf)The main areas of application of non-ferrous metallurgy slags, in particular nickel and copper, include the production of abrasive powder (see, for example, http://www.uralgrit.com/glossary/nikelshlak) and cement production (http: //www.newchemistry. ru / printletter.php? n_id = 3592), as well as the use of concrete as aggregates (Gurevich BI, Tyukavkina VV, “Granular copper-nickel slags for the manufacture of wall blocks.” Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Rare Elements and mineral raw materials named after I.V. Nickel and copper slags have a high rate of dynamic strength, as a result of which they do not crumble, which helps to increase their usability.
Before using nickel and copper slag as a mulching material, they are pre-dusted and cleaned.
The implementation of the invention is confirmed by examples of specific performance.
Nickel and copper slag as a mulching material is used as follows.
Before applying a layer of mulch, the soil is loosened and weeded. Mulch is recommended to be placed under the plants right during planting. As a rule, it is enough to spread a five-centimeter layer of mulch - it protects the surface of the soil and prevents the germination of weeds. A thicker layer - 10-15 cm thick - prevents the growth of perennial weeds.
The Perm State Agricultural Academy used nickel and copper slags of the proposed compositions as mulching material. Gornouralskaya spring wheat seedlings were taken as plant material. Watering plants was carried out daily.
When harvesting spring wheat on day 28, an increase in the productivity of spring wheat seedlings was noted, including their leafiness and shoot length.
