Abstract
Description
The jet propulsion device is designed to drive high-speed vessels, ships, yachts.
It is known that the efficiency of a water-jet propulsion device depends on the parameters of a blade system placed in a fixed nozzle in the form of a ship propeller of constant or variable pitch and a greater density l / t than that of a ship propeller. Here l is the length of the profile of the blade in any cylindrical section, t is the step in the same section.
The speed developed by the vessel is determined by the ratio of the thrust of the jet propulsion and the resistance of the hull. At a constant speed, they are equal. As a rule, the propulsion device is calculated for a given speed of the vessel and operates at constant speed in maximum efficiency mode. When you try to increase the speed of the vessel, the efficiency and thrust of the mover are reduced, so it is necessary to increase the engine speed. At the same time, the cavitation characteristics of the propulsion system deteriorate, and the risk of air entrapment increases. Both phenomena lead to a decrease in screw stop and are not applied in practice.
Known methods of dealing with this phenomenon are the placement of the impeller of a water-jet propulsion device in a conical nozzle. However, this method leads to a certain decrease in efficiency, since the resistance of the conical nozzle with increasing vessel speed increases significantly compared with the cylindrical nozzle.
An analogue of the invention is RF patent No. 2031051 IPC B63H 11/08, 11/03, 1/14, 1992. "Rotor of a water-jet propulsion". In the design of the rotor, the blade system is placed on a cylindrical sleeve, and the area of the medium inlet to the channel is made smaller than the exit area. According to the author, this leads to a decrease in jet velocity and an increase in efficiency.
Also known is an analogue from the field of pumps “axial vortex pump” - RF patent 2014509 IPC C1 F04D 3/00 1991, with a constant impeller geometry, the pump head - an analogue of the stop for the propulsion - increases by 1.5-2 times due to the placement of the impeller screw in the screw sleeve.
The prototype of the invention is the "Water-jet propulsion" according to the patent of the Russian Federation No. 2266231 IPC V63H, 11/08, 2004. The blades are made with a curved profile line and are located on a conical sleeve, so that the area at the exit of the blade system is 0.7 at the entrance.
The disadvantage of this design solution is also a significant increase in losses from the flow around the conical sleeve, which leads to a decrease in the stop and low efficiency, but contributes to stable operation during air capture.
The objective of the present invention is to increase the thrust of the propulsion device and the efficiency, as well as increasing the stability of operation when air enters and in cavitation modes.
The problem is solved by a special design of the water-jet propulsion. The impeller of a water-jet propulsion device is placed in a cylindrical nozzle with special-shaped blades located on the inner surface of the nozzle. At the inlet and outlet, the direction of the blades is axial, and above the impeller, with the direction opposite to the direction of the propeller blades.
расположенных на цилиндрической ступице, и помещенных в насадок.located on a cylindrical hub, and placed in nozzles.
Figure 1 shows a view of a water-jet propulsion. In the nozzle 1 there is a hub 2 on which the blades 3 are fixed. Fixed blades 4 are located on the inner surface of the cylindrical nozzle 4. The arrow shows the direction of fluid flow.
In Fig. 2, thin lines show the profiles of the blades in a scan along three cylinders at diameters: near the hub D1, at the average diameter D2, and at the periphery D3. Bold lines show the profiles of the blades placed on the inner surface of the nozzle.
The technical result consists in the fact that at a constant speed of rotation of the impeller, placed in nozzles with blades and in a smooth nozzle, the emphasis increases due to an increase in flow rate passing through the water jet. In addition, as shown by tests of individual impellers, this design has better cavitation characteristics in a wide range of flow rates and a smaller dependence of the stop on the amount of trapped air, which ensures a high speed of the vessel.
The effect is achieved due to the optimal flow around the blades at all modes of operation of the propulsion in speed and by increasing the flow in the ejected stream.
Water jet propulsion operates as follows.
Due to the fact that the nozzle area is larger than the front area of the impeller, a larger amount of medium enters the water jet, which additional energy is transferred to the blades. The axial direction of the blades on the surface of the nozzle minimizes losses and provides maximum efficiency, which leads to an increase in jet thrust.
As a result, the emphasis increases in comparison with other versions of the blade system. The presence of fixed blades in the nozzle does not allow the flow to flow at the ends of the blade and also helps to suppress cavitation in the gap between the blades and the nozzle. In case of air ingress, the emphasis does not fall, but decreases, but the water cannon continues to work stably.
