The claimed invention allows to expand the opportunity to participate in the lottery draw (to increase its availability for those who wish), to reduce the cost of its holding, and at the same time to provide control of the lottery participants for its holding. This is due to the fact that in the claimed invention, as a lottery ticket, a banknote (paper currency) is registered, i.e. banknotes are assigned a registration number.

The technical result is a demonstration in real time of the acquisition of lottery tickets, which consists in registering banknotes as lottery tickets and, accordingly, filling out the list of registration numbers participating in the lottery. At the same time, the use of all registration numbers allocated for the lottery means that the prize pool can be drawn immediately and the winning registration numbers and, accordingly, banknotes for which you can receive a prize can be announced. This ensures control by lottery participants over its conduct.

These technical results are achieved in the method of conducting a lottery, including the use of banknotes registered as lottery tickets, while payment for participation in the prize pool is made with the information identifying the banknote through a payment system that sends a message with data identifying the banknote to the lottery server, and amount of payment. Payment for participation in the prize pool can be made with the information identifying the banknote, through the terminal of the payment system, sending the lottery server a message about the amount of payment and data identifying the banknote.

The lottery server may additionally display the registration numbers participating in the prize pool on the Internet site or on the demo screen, together with data identifying banknotes registered with these displayed registration numbers.

Several prize pools can be drawn in succession for several denominations of banknotes (including foreign currency), and if, when the lottery server receives another message about the payment amount and data identifying the banknote, all registration numbers of the current lottery for a specific face value are occupied , a banknote can be registered to participate in the drawing of the next prize fund, at this particular denomination of the bill.

1) register the banknote indicated when paying for participation in the drawing,
2) sends a message with the registration number of the lottery ticket to the communication network terminal or the Internet terminal, from which a request was received indicating the information identifying the banknote,
3) displays the number of paid registration numbers on a website on the Internet or on a demo screen. 2.
