The material is an artificial stone of polymerised resin with filler.

Description

The invention relates to portable devices for feeding or drinking animals and can be used in everyday life when keeping a pet, such as a cat or dog.

The closest analogue of the claimed technical solution is a portable pet bowl, described in patent US 4981108, publication date 01/01/1991, MKI A01K 5/01. The bowl contains the outer surface, the surface of the bowl and the lower surface, the volume between the surfaces is filled with a continuous thermoplastic or thermosetting material.

The main disadvantage of the analogue is that due to the insufficiently high density of thermoplastic or thermoset material, the bowl has insufficient mass. This leads to its movement during eating or drinking the animal due to touching the face and paws, which makes the animal nervous. Also, as a result of repeated movements on the floor, the bowl may be in the area where people often go. People can accidentally grab a bowl with their feet, which in some cases leads to a rash or splashing of its contents on the floor.

Thus, the task to which the present technical solution is directed is to improve the living conditions of the pet in the house.

The technical result achieved by the implementation of the invention is to reduce the movement of the pet bowl on the floor during feeding or drinking.

To solve the problem with achieving a technical result in a well-known bowl for a pet containing the outer surface, the surface of the bowl and the lower surface, the volume between the surfaces is filled with material, according to the claimed invention, the material is artificial stone.

Due to the use of artificial stone as a bowl material, it is possible to create a massive portable bowl for a pet. An artificial stone bowl, due to its mass, moves less on the floor while feeding or drinking a pet.

These advantages of the invention, as well as its features are illustrated by the best options for implementation with reference to the drawings.

The pet bowl (Figs. 1 and 2) contains the outer surface 1, the surface of the bowl 2 and the lower surface 3. The volume between the surfaces is filled with artificial stone 4. Artificial stone 4 is a polymerized synthetic resin, in which there are a large number of filler particles - stone crumbs or stone flour. Also, to improve aesthetic properties, pigments are usually added to the bowl material during its manufacture. Pigments are introduced into the composition of the material with mixing of the components or when pouring artificial stone into the mold. The uneven coloring of the bowl material with pigments makes it look like a bowl of natural stone.

The filler stone may, for example, be marble, granite, limestone, dolomite, coil, jasper, malachite, calcite, quartz, aluminum trihydrate. As a synthetic resin bonding stone particles, polyester, acrylic, epoxy, phenol-formaldehyde resin can be used. The bulk amount of filler is usually from 50 to 90%. Due to the high density of the filler, the artificial stone bowl has a significant mass.

To increase the friction between the bowl and the floor, a gasket of anti-slip material 5 can be attached to the lower surface 3 of the bowl (Fig. 3). As anti-slip material 5 can be used, for example, rubber, thermoplastic elastomer, plasticized polyvinyl chloride, silicone compound, polyurethane. The gasket can be obtained by applying a non-slip material 5 in a liquid or plastic state to the bottom surface of the bowl. Subsequently, anti-slip material 5 hardens under the influence of chemicals, ultraviolet rays, ionizing radiation, temperature changes.

To reduce the slip in some cases, it is sufficient to use the anti-skid legs 6 (Fig. 4) of anti-slip material, which are small plates.

A removable insert 7 for food or water (FIG. 5) can be introduced into the surface of the bowl 2 (FIG. 1). The insert 7 repeats the surface of the bowl 2 (FIG. 1), with its rim 8 (FIG. 5) located above the outer surface 1. The insert 7 can be disposable, for example, of thin polystyrene, or reusable, for example, stamped stainless steel.

The device operates as follows.

In the bowl of the bowl formed by the surface 2 (figures 1 and 2), put the pet food or pour water. In the process of eating feed or drinking water, the animal with its muzzle or forepaws applies lateral forces to the bowl. However, the movement of the bowl on the floor occurs only when the lateral force exceeds the static friction force.

It is known that the rest friction force between the body and the supporting surface is directly proportional to the mass of the body. Therefore, a massive bowl when eating or drinking a pet will move across the floor less often and shorter distance than a light bowl, since only the most significant shocks by the muzzle or paws can lead to its shift. It is also known that the rest friction force is directly proportional to the coefficient of friction between the body and the supporting surface. Therefore, a bowl with a gasket made of anti-slip material 5 (Fig. 3) or anti-skid legs 6 (Fig. 4), that is, of a material with a high coefficient of friction relative to the floor, will move less frequently and less than the floor than a bowl without such a gasket or legs.

In the case of using a bowl with removable insert 7 (Fig. 5), food or water for the pet is placed inside insert 7. After completing a meal or water, insert 7 is removed. Disposable insert 7 is discarded, reusable - washed and re-placed inside the bowl.

Performing a bowl for a pet made of artificial stone will increase its mass, which, in turn, will reduce its movement on the floor while feeding or drinking the pet, and reduce its nervousness when eating or drinking. Also, as a result of slight movements on the floor or their complete absence, the bowl will not be in the area where people often go.

The most successfully claimed portable pet bowl can be used for keeping cats or dogs at home.

A pet bowl containing the outer surface, the surface of the bowl and the lower surface, the volume between the surfaces is filled with material, characterized in that the material is an artificial stone made of polymerized resin with a filler.
