Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of production of materials and products used as filters, with the help of which the cleaning of contaminants of food liquids, mainly milk.
Liquid purification is a technological process used in many industries, and extensive scientific and technical literature is devoted to its implementation. The main goal is to separate the liquid phase from the various contaminants present in it. In the conditions of large industrial enterprises, most of the technical means - filters - are designed to delay (capture) dispersed contaminants (impurities) that do not form a homogeneous medium with the liquid phase [1]. The liquids used in the food industry are subject to particularly stringent requirements regarding the content of such impurities. The cleaning efficiency directly depends on the physical structure and the complex of adsorption properties of the filter element - the working component of the filter device that is in direct contact with the medium being cleaned. This leads to increased attention to the choice of material and technologies for obtaining filter elements.
For such objects as drinking water, whole milk, beer, wine products, blending wines and strong alcoholic drinks, the most commonly used cleaning agents are bulk materials (activated carbon, quartz sand granules, aluminum oxides, titanium, zirconium or their alloys with open porosity ), paper or cardboard filters, as well as textile materials (polyester and polypropylene fabrics, cotton gauze, flannel, waffle fabric and cotton wool). However, these materials do not remove small impurities. In addition, they have a limited service life due to the need for periodic replacement (usually after 150-250 filtering cycles). With regard to milk, the problem is exacerbated by the probability of the presence of bacterial contaminants in the product as a result of mastitis and the cause of accelerated acidification, in connection with which the development of specific filters for milk, often complex in design, is undertaken. Thus, it is proposed to perform fine cleaning during primary milk processing using a one- or two-stage filter element [2, 3], the filtering surface of which is made in the form of a spring from a triangular cross-section stainless steel wire with a filtering gap between the coil spring and the coil on the frame. These technical solutions, providing for a combination of several industrial technologies for obtaining a filter element, remain inapplicable to remove mastitis products from whole milk. Woven and non-woven materials in most technological processes exhibit unsatisfactory form stability, low predictability of operational properties, low efficiency against bacterial contaminants, and fast “clogging” with mechanical impurities, which can disrupt their tightness and often force the filter to be replaced.
One of the probable solutions to the problem is the use of polymeric porous filters, the receipt of which provides targeted adaptation of a number of technological methods for processing polymers. Promising is the search for a technological and low-energy method for manufacturing a porous filter, the structural organization of which would be adapted to the purification of food liquids from contaminants of various nature, including bacterial ones. One of the ways to achieve this result is the formation of a filter medium, the parameters of which are not uniform throughout the volume of the filter element. Thus, a device for filtering food liquids, mainly milk [4], contains a filter element that is made in the form of a tubular cartridge made of food-grade polymer material, for example food-grade polypropylene, with pore sizes decreasing radially from the periphery to the center, and the pores form radial diffuser channels . The advantage of a technical solution is the application of the principle of a gradient of structural characteristics in order to ensure filtering from a wide range of impurities. The disadvantages of this solution are the lack of guidance on the technological aspects of the formation of a tubular cartridge from food-grade polypropylene and the non-optimal structural organization of the filter element, which, as can be seen from the description of the invention, makes it unlikely that “Extra” grade milk will be obtained after filtration.
The possibility of using fibrous-porous materials for filtering food liquids is shown by the example of a utility model [5], where the achieved technical result is based on the possibility of selecting the necessary porosity and packing density of the filter element fibers, which retains its shape and retains strength and filtration characteristics.
30-80%.A prototype of the invention is a technical solution [6], according to which the filter element for cleaning liquids is made in the form of a hollow cylinder, the walls of which are formed by thermoplastic polymer fibers bonded at their contact points. Moreover, the method of manufacturing a cylindrical filter element provides the application of the principle of a gradient of structural characteristics: the diameter of the fibers decreases, and their packing density increases along the course of the cleaned liquid. The filter element contains up to 20% of frame fibers having a diameter of at least 2.0-2.5 times the average diameter of the remaining fibers, and up to 50% of fibers having a wavy crimp with a crimp frequency of 3-20 cm -1 and degree of crimp 30-80%.
In this technical solution, a cylindrical filter element, constructed from a fibrous-porous material having variable structural characteristics, is actually patented. The presence of up to 20% of frame fibers with a large diameter ensures the strength and rigidity of the filter element, 50% of the fibers with wavy crimp - an increase in the number of adhesions between the fibers. The technology for producing the prototype filter element is based on the method of pneumoextrusion of fibers from a polyolefin melt (polyethylene, polypropylene), which is widely used for the production of filters for various purposes [1, 7]. The initial polyolefin in the form of granules is loaded into the extruder and transferred to a viscous flow state, after which it is transported through heated zones (at least 3) to the forming head. At the exit from the head, the melt is picked up by the supplied air stream, and the fibers elongated in this case are sent to the forming substrate in the form of a cylinder, which is given rotational motion and reciprocating movement. Fibers harden and are bonded together on the surface of the substrate, forming a fibrous-porous product in the form of a web or cylinder. The source [6] states that the filter captures particles of 20 mm in size with an efficiency of 99.99%, and the achievement of the required structure is associated with a variation in the technological parameters of pneumatic extrusion. This is consistent with the data [1, 7], where the basic parameters are the temperature in the zones of the extruder, on the forming head and on the substrate, the distance between the head and the forming substrate, the rotational speed of the screw of the extruder and the pressure of the spraying air.
The main disadvantage of the prototype is the declarative nature of the description of the invention both in terms of technology and the set of structural characteristics of the filter element:
- неизвестен диапазон абсолютных численных значений параметров волокон, например диаметра волокон и плотности их укладки (упаковки), хотя эти характеристики являются определяющими с точки зрения достижения требуемой эффективности фильтрования жидкостей от частиц микронного размера;- the range of the absolute numerical values of the parameters of the fibers, for example, the diameter of the fibers and their packing density (packaging), is unknown, although these characteristics are decisive in terms of achieving the required efficiency of filtering liquids from micron-sized particles;
- неизвестно, каким именно образом достигаются градиент структурных характеристик изделия и распределение в объеме одного фильтроэлемента волокон с определенной частотой и степенью извитости, в том числе отсутствуют варианты сочетания технологических параметров процесса получения такого фильтроэлемента.- it is not known how the gradient of the structural characteristics of the product and the distribution in the volume of one filter element of fibers with a certain frequency and degree of crimp are achieved, including the lack of options for combining the technological parameters of the process of obtaining such a filter element.
Together, these prototype disadvantages exclude the correct practical reproduction of a technical solution, and also do not allow us to recommend a filter element [6] for filtering food liquids from contaminants of different nature, including bacterial.
The problem to which the invention is directed is to propose a method for producing a polymer fiber-porous filter element, which, due to a set of structural characteristics, will be suitable for highly efficient cleaning of food liquids, mainly milk.
1.Achieving these results is ensured by the fact that in order to obtain a fine-grained fibrous-porous filter element for fine purification of food liquids, mainly milk, a method is proposed that includes pneumatic extrusion formation of fibers from a polypropylene melt, which is characterized in that it involves changing the entire set of parameters of the pneumatic extrusion process - extruder screw rotational speed in the range of 30-10 min -1 , atomizing air temperature in the range it is 60-140 ° C, spraying air pressure in the range of 10-40 kPa - as you obtain a cylindrical workpiece. Variants of technological modes are given in table 1.
Here is an example implementation of the invention. Changing process parameters is performed, for example, as follows:
1) мимо фильеры экструдера, из которой истекает газополимерный поток, 1-3 раза (в зависимости от производительности экструдера) проходит вращающаяся цилиндрическая подложка, на которой формируют первоначальный (ближайший к подложке, внутренний) слой волокнисто-пористого материала, при этом технологические режимы устанавливаются согласно поз.1 табл.1;1) a rotating cylindrical substrate passes 1-3 times (depending on the extruder productivity) past the extruder die from which the gas-polymer stream flows, on which the initial (closest to the substrate, inner) layer of fibrous-porous material is formed, and technological conditions are established according to item 1 of table 1;
2) для следующих 1-3 проходов подложки устанавливают технологические режимы согласно поз.2 табл.1;2) for the next 1-3 passes of the substrate, technological modes are set in accordance with item 2 of Table 1;
3) для следующих 1-3 проходов подложки устанавливают технологические режимы согласно поз.3 табл.1;3) for the next 1-3 passes of the substrate, technological modes are set according to item 3 of table 1;
4) для следующих 1-3 проходов подложки устанавливают технологические режимы согласно поз.4 табл.1;4) for the next 1-3 passes of the substrate, technological modes are set according to item 4 of table 1;
1.5) for the next 1-3 passes of the substrate, technological modes are set in accordance with item 5 of Table 1.
As a result, a cylinder is formed in which the fibers form an integral filter element due to the fact that they are formed and deposited on the substrate at high temperatures, which cause the emergence of strong cohesive bonds between the fibers.
The invention consists in optimizing the pneumatic extrusion process. The technology of pneumatic extrusion molding of fibers from polymer melts provides ample opportunities for targeted adaptation of technological modes [1, 7]. Therefore, a gradual, as the fibrous-porous product is formed, a change in the process parameters within the selected limits allows to obtain the desired gradient of the structural characteristics of the filter element. The inventive method allows to form a filter element in the form of a hollow cylinder, in which the diameter of the fibers decreases along with the flow of the liquid being cleaned, and their packing density increases. In the filter element there are areas (sequentially located, firmly bonded to each other, without distinct boundaries) with a certain prevailing packing density, which, when filtering liquids, perform the function of trapping particles of contaminants of certain sizes. The filter element as a whole performs a complex of these functions, realizing sequential cleaning of liquids from large, medium and small particles of contaminants to the size of the last 10-15 microns, and also (in layers with the highest packing density) from a number of bacterial contaminants.
Производили периодический отбор проб молока до и после фильтрования с анализом содержания механических, бактериологических загрязнений и тонкости фильтрования (средний размер захваченных частиц).The study of the filtering ability of the filter element obtained in accordance with the claimed method, in relation to the contamination of fresh whole milk was carried out by comparison with the performance of analogues. The filter element was installed on the pressure line of the milk circuit pump and worked periodically during milking. Milk from milking machines entered the collection tank to a level corresponding to a volume of 30 l, after which the pump was turned on, which for several minutes with a flow rate of 6 m 3 / h pumped milk through the filter. During milking for about 2 hours about 1 m 3 of milk was pumped through the filter. Periodic sampling of milk was performed before and after filtration with analysis of the content of mechanical, bacteriological contaminants and the fineness of filtration (average size of captured particles).
The filter element according to the invention of the prototype was obtained by pneumatic extrusion by varying the parameters of the process, achieving:
- содержания в объеме фильтроэлемента 20% каркасных волокон с диаметром 100 мкм и 80% волокон с диаметром в диапазоне 30-50 мкм;- the content in the volume of the filter element of 20% frame fibers with a diameter of 100 microns and 80% of fibers with a diameter in the range of 30-50 microns;
- содержания в объеме фильтроэлемента не менее 50% высокоизвитых волокон с частотой извитости не менее 20 см-1 и степенью извитости не менее 50%;- the content in the volume of the filter element is not less than 50% highly curved fibers with a crimp frequency of at least 20 cm -1 and a degree of crimp of at least 50%;
- уменьшения диаметра волокон и увеличения плотности их упаковки по ходу протекания очищаемого молока.- reducing the diameter of the fibers and increasing the density of their packaging in the course of the flow of purified milk.
