Technical field

The present invention relates to methods and systems for using new applications and additional software in a mobile telephone by installing an additional integrated circuit card in the telephone.

State of the art

The prior art patent US 6775725 of 08/10/2004, a method of adapting a mobile phone to perform new functions (applications), which allows a user to offer a menu with additional applications, including installing an additional integrated circuit in a telephone on a substrate with a contact interface connected to the phone, is known , and the subsequent adaptation of the additional integrated circuit in the phone by downloading and installing additional software.

This known method is the closest analogue of the claimed variants of the method of adaptation of a mobile phone.

The disadvantage of this method is that additional software to the additional integrated circuit is transmitted from the SIM card used in the phone. This limits the use of an additional integrated circuit, since it involves combining it with special SIM cards coordinated with it.

The patent US 6775725 from 08/10/2004, a mobile communication system in which mobile phones with SIM cards are equipped with an additional integrated circuit on a substrate with a contact interface connected to the phone, is known from the prior art. This known system is the closest analogue of the claimed system.

A disadvantage of the known system is that it imposes a restriction on the use of an additional integrated circuit, assuming use only with SIM cards adapted for exchanging information with an additional integrated circuit.

Disclosure of invention

The technical result achieved in the claimed inventions is the use of an additional integrated circuit in mobile phones with SIM cards, regardless of the type of phone. Adaptation of the additional integrated circuit to the type (brand) of the telephone is provided by sending it from an external source - a remote server, in particular, upon request of a mobile phone, additional software installed by the additional integrated circuit.

The indicated technical results are achieved in the method of adapting a mobile phone equipped with a SIM card to perform new functions (applications), which allows the user to propose a menu with additional applications, including installing an additional integrated circuit on the phone with a contact interface connected to the phone, and subsequent adaptation of the additional integrated circuit in the phone by downloading and installing additional software, with additional inter After connecting to the phone, using the pre-installed software (the kernel of the operating system), the circuit diagram determines its environment on the phone, prepares and initiates sending, by mobile phone, a request message to the remote server with the requirement of additional software corresponding to the environment of the additional integrated circuit in the phone; the server in response to a request sends one or more messages with additional software for an additional integrated circuit that downloads and installs additional software.

These technical results are achieved in the method of adapting a mobile phone equipped with a SIM card and an additional integrated circuit on a substrate with a contact interface connected to the phone, by adapting the additional integrated circuit in the phone by downloading and installing additional software, while the remote server sends one or several mobile communications with additional software for an additional integrated circuit, in advance (pre) equipped with software that provides the download and installation of additional software.

The remote server can send a message with additional software to the phone after receiving a message requesting additional software from this phone.

Messages sent by the phone and server can be SMS messages, or GPRS messages, or USSD messages.

The indicated technical results are achieved in a mobile communication system in which mobile phones with SIM cards are equipped to perform additional functions that are not provided for by SIM cards installed in them, additional, adapting to the phone when installing additional software, an integrated circuit on a substrate with a contact interface connected to the telephone, as well as including a server, configured to send a telephone message with additional software for downloading it ki in additional integrated circuit, the SIM card connected to the phone via a further integrated circuit configured to download and install additional software contained in the message server.
