Abstract

According artistic image is drawn, which matches corresponding place on geographic map by combination of lines, contours, colour spots or only by contours.

Description

The invention relates to training and relates to the issues of teaching geography.

A known method of teaching geography, which consists in the use of geographical maps and atlases (SN No. 692767, class G09B 29/00, 2002).

Disadvantages: learning difficulties, especially for primary school students.

The objective of the present invention is the ability to teach children geography, starting with the lower grades.

Technical result: facilitating the learning process with the help of visual art images that children will draw on geographical maps.

These tasks are solved in the following way: they use pictures with artistic images corresponding to visual images on a geographical map selected from a variety of combinations of geographical signs, determine the place on the contour map corresponding to the selected visual image, and draw the corresponding artistic image that matches the corresponding place on the geographical map according to a combination of lines, contours, color spots or contour outlines.

The method is illustrated by drawings from the Atlas "Geography of the continents and oceans", Grade 7, "ATKAR-PKO" Cartography ", Moscow, 2000, which depicts: in Fig. 1 - a drawing of fish on a map of South America, in Fig. 2 - figure of a hippopotamus on a map of Australia and nearby islands, figure 3 - figure of a horse's head on a map of Africa, figure 4 - figure of a kangaroo on a map of the Great Sunda Islands (Asia), figure 5 - figure of a horseman on a map of the world population density, Fig.6 is a drawing of a profile of a face on a map of the Russian Federation, Fig.7 is a drawing of a duckling on a map of North and South th America.

The method is as follows: the teacher, who has atlases, maps, contour including, pictures with artistic images taken from the maps, gives children, depending on age, various tasks. To do this, use pictures with artistic images corresponding to visual images on a geographical map selected from a variety of combinations of geographical signs, determine on the contour map a place corresponding to the selected visual image, and draw an appropriate artistic image that matches the corresponding place on a geographical map using a combination of lines , contours, color spots or contour outlines. Thus, any school atlas, any geographical map, which are drawings of the Earth’s surface, become sources of creating visual images, through imagination, in student drawings through a combination of dots, lines, contours, color spots, inscriptions, digital symbols and conventional signs, which atlases and maps serve as carriers of cartographic information. A student with a creative imagination, upon careful examination of the drawing from different angles, from different angles, under different lighting conditions, among a variety of combinations of geographical signs, will begin to distinguish a picture that reminds him of something.

Case Studies

Example 3. A student Seryozha R., 10 years old, was able to see and sketch the image of a rider on a map of the world population density (figure 5), on a map of the Russian Federation he drew a profile of his face (figure 6), on a map of North and South America he it turned out a contour drawing of a duckling (Fig. 7).

The method of teaching geography can be applied in teaching children with any developmental disabilities, to create any test programs, as well as in other areas of human activity.

In areas such as television, animation, cinematography, printing, art photography, exhibition business, advertising and computer technology, it can be useful for artists and writers in creating new images.

As a result of training in this way, visual memory will develop in children, the child’s thinking will be saturated with vivid images, a new impetus will arise for the development of creative imagination. Geography, as an object, will become closer and more understandable to children much earlier.
