Abstract
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the heat treatment of metals and alloys, and can be used in engineering and other industries that are consumers of austenitic steels of increased strength and ductility.
1].A known method of producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, including heating slabs to a temperature in the range of 850-1240 ° C, cooling to room temperature and cold (at this temperature) plastic deformation [Dzugutov M.Ya. Plastic deformation of high alloy steels and alloys. M .: Metallurgy, 1977, 479 p. one].
The production of plate products using this method requires high-power rolling mills, since during plastic deformation of the material even to small degrees the sheet is greatly hardened. However, it is known that during cold deformation, hardening occurs non-uniformly and cracking occurs in the region of high stresses.
There is also a method of producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, including heating slabs to a temperature in the range of 850-1240 ° C, cooling to a temperature of 400-600 ° C and warm (at this temperature) deformation [Orlov AR, Tyurin L. N., Gribovsky V.K., Cherniga L.E., Lysov D.S. Warm deformation of metals. Minsk: Science and Technology, 1978, 415 pp.]
In this case, the increase in stresses during plastic deformation does not occur as intensively as during cold deformation, since in the temperature range 400-600 ° C the stress relaxation is stronger and, as a result of this process, the probability of crack formation during rolling decreases. Since the strength of steel at 400-600 ° C is lower than at 20 ° C, the power of the rolling mill can be reduced.
С.695-1024. 1968].Closest to the claimed is a method of producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, including heating slabs to a temperature corresponding to the region of stable austenite (from 850 ° C to 1240 ° C), isothermal aging at this temperature for at least 3 hours, subsequent plastic deformation and cooling in water [Bernstein ML Thermomechanical processing of steel. Volume 2. S.695-1024. M.: Metallurgy, 1968].
In this known method, plastic deformation is carried out at a high temperature, which provides the material with sufficient ductility. The high ductility of the hardened material, in turn, eliminates the appearance of any cracks in the plate.
With this high temperature thermomechanical treatment (HTMO), a given sheet thickness can be obtained using a low power rolling mill due to the sufficient ductility of the hardened material.
The method is as follows. Austenitic steel ingots are forged into slabs of the required size. Slabs are rolled onto sheets with a thickness of 20-40 mm in the temperature range from 850 ° C to 1240 ° C. Moreover, the compression ratio is at least 80%. Then carry out isothermal exposure at this temperature for at least 3 hours. Then, plastic deformation is carried out in the rolls of the rolling mill and the deformed sheets are cooled in water to room temperature.
In this method of producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel in austenitic grains, a structure typical of materials after high-temperature thermomechanical processing occurs: elongated grains, the boundaries of which in some cases have a toothed structure. Inside the grains, a rather high density of dislocations is observed, equal to 10 10 cm -2 . Moreover, in the volume of grains and along their boundaries, precipitation of chromium and vanadium nitrides is observed. This structure provides the production of steel with certain mechanical properties, which are presented in the table. The low impact toughness (KCV) in the rolled plate obtained in a known manner can be explained, first of all, by the boundary precipitation of nitrides. Despite the presence of dislocations in austenitic grains, the strength properties of steel are relatively low. The relatively low strength properties of steel after HTMT are due to the fact that deformation occurs at high temperatures, at which two processes occur. The first process is the appearance of dislocations in austenite, which strengthen the material. The second process is the strong annihilation of dislocations, associated with the high temperature at which deformation is carried out, and, as a consequence, the softening of the material. The second process is expressed in a rather strong degree; therefore, high strength properties after HTMT cannot be obtained.
The basis of the invention is to increase the yield strength and toughness of plate from austenitic non-magnetic steels.
The problem is solved in that in the method for producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, including heating slabs made of this steel to a temperature of 850 ° C-1240 ° C, corresponding to the region of stable austenite, isothermal exposure at this temperature for at least 3 hours, subsequent high-temperature plastic deformation in the rolls of the rolling mill in the specified temperature range and cooling, according to the invention, after plastic deformation, the plate is heated to a temperature of 11 50 ± 20 ° C, repeated isothermal exposure is carried out for at least 3 hours, then cooled to a temperature of 600 ± 50 ° C and additional plastic deformation is carried out by 15-20% at this temperature, and cooling is carried out after additional plastic deformation. In this case, cooling is carried out in air
The technical result in the proposed method is achieved by the fact that after high-temperature plastic deformation, the plate is heated to a temperature of 1150 ± 20 ° C and isothermally re-held at this temperature for at least 3 hours. Next, the sheet is cooled to a temperature of 600 ± 50 ° C, at which spend its additional plastic deformation by 15-20%. Then the sheet is cooled in air.
The heating of rolled plates to a temperature of 1150 ± 20 ° C after high-temperature plastic deformation is carried out in order to dissolve chromium and vanadium nitrides in austenite, which were released during high-temperature deformation both inside and along the grain boundaries and greatly reduced the impact strength of the sheet. As a result of the dissolution of nitrides in a solid solution, the toughness increases significantly, and the strength properties decrease. The heating temperature T N = 1150 ° C is optimal from the above temperature range. Its decrease leads to a decrease in the amount of dissolved nitrides, as a result of which the toughness of the plate after HTMO decreases. Plastic deformation at the optimum heating temperature provides hardening of austenite. An increase in the temperature of deformation causes a decrease in the strength of austenite.
Additional plastic deformation at a temperature of 600 ± 50 ° C significantly hardens austenite due to the appearance of dislocations in it. The appearance of dislocations in a solid solution to some extent reduces the impact strength of the sheet that it had after plastic deformation, but its value, however, remains at a high level.
The deformation temperature Tdef = 600 ° C is optimal from the above range, since it provides the allocation of the optimal amount of dispersed nitrides that fix the dislocations that appeared in austenite as a result of deformation.
When the deformation temperature drops below 600 ° C, the amount of nitrides decreases and, as a result of this process, the yield strength is lower.
As the deformation temperature rises above 600 ° C, the amount of released nitrides increases, which leads to a decrease in toughness.
Therefore, the claimed method in comparison with the known allows to increase the yield strength and toughness in the resulting plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel
In addition, it should be noted that the proposed new method of hardening does not require the use of any additional equipment and can be carried out on the same rolling mill, as in the case of using the known method of hardening. Thus, the proposed method of hardening is quite technological and simple in real production.
15-20%.Example. To produce plate, large-sized ingots were smelted, which were subjected to homogenization at 1230 ° C for three hours. After that, the ingots were forged on slabs of the required size. Then they were heated to a temperature of 850-1240 ° C, corresponding to the region of stable austenite, isothermally kept at this temperature for at least 3 hours, then subsequent high-temperature plastic deformation was carried out in the rolls of the rolling mill, in the indicated temperature range they were rolled onto sheets with a total degree of compression not less than 80%, then heated to 1150 ° C, isothermally kept for at least three hours, then quickly cooled to a temperature of 600 ° C and additional plastic was carried out at this temperature deformation by 15-20%.
After additional plastic deformation, the sheet was cooled in air.
2.From sheets obtained by the known and claimed method, samples were prepared for tensile tests on the FP-100 test rig with a maximum force of 10 tons and on impact bending on the headstock of the PSV-30 rig with a specific power of 30 kg / cm 2 .
Temporary resistance σ B (tensile strength), yield strength σ 0.2 , elongation δ, elongation ψ were determined on five-fold samples with a working part diameter of 4 mm.

Impact strength KCV was determined on samples with a cross section of 10 × 10 mm and a length of 55 mm. In the middle of the impact specimen, a V-shaped incision was made with a depth of 2 mm. The structure of the samples was studied using optical and electron microscopes.
Data on the measurement of the mechanical properties of the known and proposed method are presented in the table
In the known method for producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, a structure typical of materials after high-temperature thermomechanical processing occurs in this steel: elongated grains, the boundaries of which in some cases have a toothed structure. The low impact toughness KCV can be explained, first of all, by the boundary precipitation of nitrides.
In the inventive method for producing plate from austenitic non-magnetic steel, the following processes occur. Heating the material to 1150 ° C after high-temperature deformation leads to the formation of recrystallized grains with a low dislocation density. In this case, nitride particles present inside and along the grain boundaries dissolve during isothermal exposure at 1150 ° C. Plastic strain of 15% at 600 ° C causes the appearance of dislocations in the recrystallized matrix. In addition, in the process of deformation, the supersaturated solid solution decomposes and the dislocations are fixed by dispersed nitride particles. The described structure determines the mechanical properties presented in the table.
As can be seen from the table, in the present method, the yield strength increases compared with the yield strength in the known method by 1.3 times (from 808 to 1066 MPa), and the impact strength increases by 3.2 times (from 37 to 121). In this case, the relative narrowing of ψ remains practically unchanged, and the relative elongation δ, although decreasing, remains at a relatively high level.
