The system has a clearing payments module. The server computer device comprises an online booking module for communication with accessible global distributive systems, which execute required actions in the process of booking for tickets, and an online payment module, connected to payment systems and which records online payment and authorises transaction in the payment system.

Description

The invention relates to automated systems, in particular to automated systems for the sale of electronic tickets based on information network technologies, and can be used to solve problems of providing and rendering a complex of various services, including booking and paying for tickets for domestic and international flights, railway and bus routes.

The known method described in RU 2174709 as a method of cashless payment, in which the buyer, wanting to purchase a ticket, through an ATM identifies himself with a plastic card and then selects a cashless payment operation. Next, the ATM sends a request to the processing center to provide the above list of goods. After receiving this list, the ATM at the first stage displays on the display screen a list of categories of goods contained in this list. The buyer selects the purchase of air tickets from this list, and then sequentially (as the ATM displays the appropriate images), selects the flight direction, indicates the required flight date, and finally selects the airline ticket for a specific flight, choosing the place with the desired service class if possible. Having finished the selection of airline tickets, the buyer presses the corresponding button on the control panel of the ATM. After that, the ATM generates and sends the appropriate message to the processing center, which is an order to purchase airline tickets selected by the buyer from the airline indicating their respective quantity. Upon receipt of the specified message, the service processing center, as described above, either broadcasts this message to the airline in real time, and then receives the parameters of this order from it, or independently accepts this order. The buyer pays for this order through an ATM.

However, it is impossible to provide services for booking, issuing and selling air tickets for domestic and international flights operated by both Russian and international airlines in the above way. It is assumed that the ATM is connected to a specific airline.

Invention RU 2222825 describes an automated system providing a unified interface to various Global Distribution Systems.

There are several main Global Distribution Systems (GDS) in the world: 5 international (Saber, Amadeus, Galileo, Worldspan, Gabriel - all aviation) and 3 Russian (Siren 2000, Siren 2,3 - aviation and Express - railway), each of which has its own interface. Therefore, the task is to provide client (buyer) access to information (routes, flights) from any available GDS using a single universal interface generalizing GDS interfaces.

Moreover, a distinctive feature of the invention described in RU 2222825 is the presence of a "consolidating center and a network of corporate clients (agencies, local users)." The system described in this invention does not imply the provision of services to users - individuals through public electronic self-service devices and the public Internet, and completely ignores issues of paying for reserved tickets and subsequent settlements between participants in operations.

The technical result to which this invention is directed is the creation of such a system based on network technologies that, at minimal economic cost, will allow to obtain the widest possible coverage of users through a network of existing electronic self-service devices (ATMs, bank self-service terminals, information and transaction kiosks) with giving them the opportunity to plan a trip, book and pay for tickets and at the same time use one th interface, interfaces summarizing all available global distribution systems.

An order for booking and issuing air and other tickets is carried out by contacting one or more global distribution systems, while the user will have the opportunity to plan and book a complex transportation consisting of air travel and rail or bus crossing.

The user gets the opportunity to book and pay for the ticket remotely through an electronic self-service device (ATM). To do this, he needs to insert a plastic card and enter a PIN code for authorization, then, in the special section of the menu, select the “Flights” section, use the on-screen keyboard to select flight parameters (country, airport, number of tickets, etc.). After that, the ATM through the global Internet connects to a specialized web server and through the online booking module gets access to one or more of the global distribution systems and reserves seats for a passenger or several passengers. Further, the client has the opportunity to pay for the ticket through an ATM or a plastic card, or using cash through the cash-in module of an ATM (if the ATM has this module).

Description of the process of booking and paying for electronic tickets using an electronic self-service device (electronic banking terminal - ATM, information and transaction terminal, self-service payment terminal)

On an electronic self-service device (1), which is an electronic device with a built-in computer, an application such as Internet Explorer is launched - web-browser (thin client), through which the user gets access to a specialized web server (2), where, using the touch screen or using the function keys of the electronic self-service device enters the necessary information for booking and paying for an electronic ticket.

The user’s actions (a sequence of html-pages) are controlled by a specialized site deployed on a web server (2).

The software deployed on the server (2) is a collection of modules that have a special purpose:

- Online booking module 5, providing communication with the global distribution system,

- Online payment module 4 for communication with the payment system,

- The module for processing clearing and settlement information - back-office.

The online booking module, using standard interfaces used in global distribution systems (for example, Siren 2000, Siren 2,3, Galileo or Amadeus), performs all the necessary steps for the airline reservation procedure.

The online payment module is responsible for registering the online payment and authorizing the transaction in the payment system. He registers the parameters of the plastic card and the amount of the transaction and asks the issuer of this plastic card (issuing bank) to confirm this operation.

The back-office clearing information processing module receives initial information from all participants of the calculations for the ticket sold: the acquirer bank or its agent, who owns the electronic self-service device, the transport company or its representative, whose ticket for the flight was sold. Using special software installed on this server, the registration and processing of financial transactions and the construction of a system of settlements for air tickets sold are carried out.

The system operates as follows.

1. The ATM contacts the booking module, indicating the required route parameters: dates, points of departure and arrival, class of service and number of tickets, in accordance with the wishes of the client.

2. The booking module is associated with the Global Distribution System.

3. The GDS transmits to the booking module the availability of seats for flights that correspond to the transportation parameters selected by the user, which are broadcast on the ATM screen.

4. The GDS passes through the booking module the fares for this flight.

5. The user selects a specific transportation in accordance with his preferences.

6. The reservation module through the GDS confirms the reserved seats.

7. The user goes to the payment section (immediately or after some time, for example, after a few days).

8. The ATM through the online payment module is contacted by the issuing bank for the availability of the required amount in the client's account.

9. There is a write-off of funds. Confirmation is a check.

10. The online payment module communicates with the transportation payment system and the reservation system and confirms the fact of payment made before the reservation.

11. Upon confirmation of payment, an electronic ticket is issued and an itinerary receipt (document confirming the fact of transportation) is issued.

12. At the request of the user, he can print the route receipt directly on the electronic self-service device.

Thus, the whole process is divided into several parts:
