SUBSTANCE: short-length logging method includes cutting of tree branches in a bottom-upward direction, and then cutting of assortments from top downwards along the trunk to its bottom log by means of a claw-like felling unit of a felling-and-bunching machine. When cutting the assortments, the claw-like felling unit stop is put on the tree end surface, and then the claw-like felling unit is lowered down thus measuring the assortment length; after that the trunk is grasped and assortment is cut down. Then short-length logging cycle is repeated till the claw-like felling unit reaches the ground, and at the end of the cycle a non-sized bottom log is cut down. Working member of short-length logging machine consists of a claw-like felling unit of felling-and-bunching machine with a column. At the column top there installed is a cover with a hole wherein arranged is a movable column with a locking device installed on its lower end. Locking device is located inside the column so that it can move up to the cover. On the upper end of movable column there provided are two pairs of holes meant for attaching a detachable stop for example with bolts. On the sides of movable column there are two marks made in 300 mm for measuring the length of a log per one meter.

Description

The invention relates to the harvesting of assortments from growing trees in ripening and ripe birch forests, as well as aspen and other mixed stands, and the processing of growing trees and harvesting of assortments is performed by existing types of domestic feller bunchers equipped with replaceable small-sized gripping-cutting devices of modular manufacture with maximum given mass and load capacity installed at the end of the manipulator with a large reach (reach of the working body of at least 12.5 m horizontally and 18 m and in the vertical plane).
A known method of harvesting assortments with a manipulator machine using a typical gripping-cutting device (see book: Anisimov S.E., Mazurkin P.M. Multi-link manipulators. - Yoshkar-Ola: MarSTU, 2003. - 76 p.). This method includes actions: first, the crown part is cut off and placed (or simply dumped) in one bundle behind the drag, and then the assortments are cut sequentially from top to bottom from the top of the standing trunk to its butt.
The disadvantage of multi-stage processing is that. that the method is difficult when processing a single tree, and it does not allow to increase the yield of valuable assortments.
There is also a known method of processing trees and harvesting assortments with a feller buncher (Pat. 2250599 Russian Federation, IPC 7 A01G 23/02, 23/08, 213/081, 23/083, authors Mazurkin P.M., Anisimov S.E. , Golomidova I.A., Vladimirov A.A., Ivanova N.S. (RF)), including removing the crown part of the growing tree and leaving the trunk for several months for natural drying of the wood, and then cutting the assortments from top to bottom along the trunk to it komlyu grabber-cutting device feller buncher.
The disadvantage is that as a result of sequential cutting of assortments from the top of the standing trunk to its butt, only three types of unmeasured assortments (vertex, middle and butt logs) are obtained. At the same time, the need for valuable assortments of different sizes with length tolerances is not taken into account. Unmeasured assortments do not allow obtaining further assorted assortments with high accuracy, as this will lead to large losses of wood. Therefore, the prototype is applicable only to low-quality stands. And in ripening and ripe birch forests, it is economically profitable to prepare a hierarchy of assorted species by decreasing value.
The technical result is an increase in the yield of valuable assortments, for example, plywood ridge when preparing measured assortments in a ripe or ripe birch.
This technical result is achieved in that the method of harvesting assortments and the working body of the machine for its implementation, including first cutting the branches of the tree from bottom to top, and then cutting the assortments from top to bottom along the trunk to its butt with a gripping-cutting device of the feller buncher, characterized in that the gripping-cutting device is aimed at the barrel with its emphasis laid on the barrel end, then it goes down with measuring the length of the assortment, after the measurement, the barrel is captured and the assortment is cut, then the cycle is closed Preparations assortments repeated until lowering the working body on the ground, butt end of the loop is cut assortment unmeasured.

Measurement of a birch or aspen assortment on business trunks is carried out on the length of a valuable assortment, for example, plywood ridge 1.3 or 1.6 m long, moreover, the length selection from these two sizes is carried out according to plywood logs required for domestic peeling machines, and on trunks with foot sections the measurement of wood ridge is carried out to a length of one meter, and only wood logs are prepared from faun trunks.
When processing a trunk with a thin top part, the diameter of the trunk near the cutting point is additionally measured using grippers of a gripping-cutting device, if the diameter is less than 16 cm, then the length of the ridge is measured up to one meter.
On the top of the rack there is a lid with a hole in which a movable rack with a latch at its lower end is placed, the latch located inside the rack with the ability to move to the lid, at the upper end of the movable rack there are two pairs of holes for fixing, for example with bolts, a detachable stop, and on the sides of the movable stand two marks are applied after 300 mm to measure the length of a log ridge of one meter.
The essence of the method lies in the fact that when harvesting assortments with a gripping-cutting device of a feller-buncher, from the standing trunk of business (high-quality) trees, measured assortments are sequentially cut from top to bottom, and, apart from measured assortments, log ridges are cut down one or another length of logs from trunks with fauna sections. (less than the length of the valuable assortment, for plywood ridge 1.3 or 1.6 m) meter.
The essence also lies in the fact that the working body is laid with an emphasis on the end of the trunk, which serves as a rigid support for the working body and even the manipulator when sawing the trunk across for the preparation of assortment with an exact length. Therefore, the measurement of the length of the sawn assortment takes place until the movable stand is completely raised from the inside of the stand until the clamp is pressed against the stand cover and this increases the accuracy of measuring the length of the assortment. Moreover, high measurement accuracy is ensured regardless of the sharp fluctuations of the manipulator and the hydraulic system of the machine, and the operator can only lower the gripping-cutting device to the full length of the assortment being cut, that is, until the movable stand lock contacts the rack cover completely.
The essence of the design of the working body of the feller buncher is that the gripping-cutting device is modular with existing machine components of the type LP-19V, and at the same time, a movable stand made from afar with prominent marks and an emphasis for laying the working body at the end of the barrel performs useful essential technical functions for measuring various lengths of valuable or wood assortment. A movable stand with marks and a swivel stop of the gripping-cutting device allow harvesting of measured and unmeasured assortments from one trunk.
At the same time, depending on the position of the emphasis on the movable stand, it is possible to prepare valuable assortments in the form of plywood ridge of two sizes 1.3 or 1.6 m. In addition, by adjusting the marks on the move of the movable stand, it is possible to cut assortments about 1 m long. For one machines can produce a set of gripping-cutting bodies for harvesting assortments and other lengths, with lengths up to 6.5 m.
The novelty of the technical solution lies in the fact that the existing feller buncher is equipped with a modular gripping and cutting device with a movable stand and an emphasis on the barrel end, which also has marks on it, and the emphasis on the barrel end is removable and rearranged through holes at the upper end of the movable stand . The emphasis is fixed with a detachable connection and therefore a set of movable racks and interchangeable stops can be used to lay the working body on the barrel end.
The positive effect is that the use of a gripping-cutting device with a movable stand and an emphasis makes it possible to obtain valuable assortments of the same length equal to the travel of the movable stand 1.3 m or 1.6 m with a small tolerance. For example, when harvesting plywood ridge, the sawing accuracy will be such that the length error will be less than the tolerance according to GOST of 2 ... 5 cm. This allows you to increase the yield of valuable logs and reduce wood loss when harvesting logs from growing trees of various commercial quality.
The positive effect also lies in the fact that the proposed method and the working body for its implementation allow selective felling of trees assigned to foresters when leaving the forest. At the same time, neighboring trees left for growing are not damaged due to the fact that assortments are harvested directly on the trunk.
The positive effect also lies in the fact that with the same machine with a removable standard gripping-cutting device equipped with a delimbing head, first the lower branches and branches of the growing tree are cut, and then the crown part of the tree is cut, leaving the trunk with the butt at the top. After processing all the trees that were taken to the felling site, the gripping-cutting device is changed to the proposed working body, which is used to prepare assortments of different lengths in the form of plywood logs with an exact length and firewood with an approximate length from vertically located trunks.
The combination of functional and constructive distinguishing features has a significant novelty and has a positive effect, as well as ease of implementation in the conditions of forest enterprises.
In the scientific, technical and patent literature, materials discrediting the novelty of the technical solution were not found.

The method of harvesting assortments feller buncher includes the following steps.
The gripping-cutting device 1 with a stand 2 and a movable stand 3, on the upper part 4 of which is fixed, for example, by means of a bolt joint, an emphasis 5, is guided to the upper part of a standing tree trunk. Then the operator puts the emphasis on the end of the trunk. In this case, the stop 5 of the gripping-cutting device rests on the upper end of the barrel, performing the technical function of a rigid and strong support. Next, the operator lowers the working body down and the movable stand remains in place with the end of the barrel and at the same time extends from the rack of the gripping-cutting device. Together with the rack, the saw mechanism 6 is lowered along the trunk. After the movable rack is fully extended, the saw mechanism is turned on and cut 7 is made, cutting off the assortment that is dumped onto the ground or is placed in a bundle.
Then the cycle is repeated, the gripping-cutting device is again aimed at the end of the left part of the trunk and gradually cyclically moves down the standing trunk and the next assortment is similarly harvested. So the entire standing trunk is processed to the stump.
On the foot section of the trunk, the operator lowers the working body to the mark 8, which allows you to cut the assortment in the form of a wood ridge with a length of about one meter.
The method of harvesting assortments feller buncher is implemented, for example, when harvesting plywood ridge and firewood from trunks of birch and aspen, as follows.
Initially, the trees designated for logging are processed with the removal of the crown and branches and branches and with the leaving of the standing trunks of birch trees. For this, the existing device is used in the form of a removable gripping-cutting device with a delimbing head. For harvesting assortments on the manipulator of the feller buncher, the proposed working body is mounted.
The gripping-cutting device 1 is pointed at the birch trunk with its stop 5 placed on the trunk end, then it goes down with measuring the length of the assortment with the help of mark 8, after the measurement the trunk is captured and the assortment is cut with the sawing mechanism 6, then the cycle of harvesting assortments is repeated until the working lowering body to the ground, at the end of the cycle, the butt-shaped unmeasured assortment is cut.
The emphasis 5 is laid on the end of the barrel, and it remains on it when the gripping-cutting device 1 moves down, and the assortment length is measured until the emphasis is fixed.

Each assortment cut down from a standing trunk sequentially from the top part to its butt with a gripping-cutting device 1 with a movable stand 3, on which marks 8 are applied, and with an emphasis 5, is dumped to the ground. If necessary, firewood can be dumped to one side of the machine, and valuable logs to the other. If the machine has a trailer, then valuable assortments are placed in it with the help of the manipulator of the machine and the gripping-cutting device itself.
By adjusting the stop position on a movable stand, assortments of 1.3 m or 1.6 m long are obtained. The choice of assortment length is determined by the consumer of the plywood ridge. Then received measured assortments are evaluated by quality. High-quality assortments are selected for plywood logs, and low-quality assortments for wood.
When processing small-sized trunks using a gripping-cutting device equipped with a movable stand 3, on which, after 30 cm, marks 8 are applied to measure the length of the wood assortment, assortments of about 1 m long are harvested until the diameter of the trunk is equal to or greater than the required diameter, which allows harvesting valuable measured assortments in the form of plywood ridge.
When processing part of the barrel with a curvature by a gripping-cutting device 1, an assortment of about 1 m in length is cut, measured by mark 8 on a movable stand 3.
If, when processing the trunk, the length of the butt assortment is less than 1.3 or 1.6 m, then the gripping-cutting device 1 is lowered to the ground and an unmeasured assortment of various lengths is cut off at the butt (or the wood assortment is one meter long and the stump is less than 30 cm).
The working body of the machine in the form of a gripping-cutting device 1 for implementing the proposed method of harvesting assortments contains a stationary rack 2 and a movable rack 3 with the upper part 4.
On the upper part with the help of a detachable connection, an emphasis 5 G-shaped is fixed. The saw mechanism 6 is permanently installed in the lower part of the rack, which allows cutting in the plane of cut 7.
Marks 8 are applied on the sides of the movable drain, for example, with paint in the form of transverse stripes according to the number of measured lengths of valuable assortments so that these marks are visible from the operator's cab. In this case, the marks can also be equipped with clamps, for example, in the form of spring balls to temporarily hold the movement of lowering the working body down the barrel.
A cover 9 with an opening is mounted on the upper part of the rack, in which a movable rack 3 with a latch 10 is located at its lower end, the latch being located inside the rack with the ability to move to the lid, at the upper end of the movable rack there are two pairs of holes 11 for fixing, for example, bolts 12, a detachable stop 5, and on the sides of the movable stand two marks 8 are applied across 300 mm to measure the length of a wood ridge of one meter.
The working body of the machine for implementing the method of harvesting assortments works as follows.
After laying on the end of the barrel, the stop 5 lies on its end with the lower side and thereby holds the motionless stand 3. As the gripping-cutting body 1 is lowered down the barrel, the latch 10 rises up inside the stand 2 until the lid 9 stops moving. In this case, the valuable assortment 1.3 or 1.6 m long with high precision. Changing the length of the valuable assortment is carried out by rearranging the stop 5 relative to the upper part 4 of the movable stand 3 with the help of bolts 12 inserted into the holes 11.
After the contact of the latch 10 with the cover 9, the sawing mechanism 6 is turned on and a valuable assortment of cuts is sawed off 7. This process can be automated using trailer hydraulic or other sensors.
When measuring the length of the wood ridge in one meter, the operator lowers the working body to the mark 8, and then includes a sawing mechanism 6 for cutting 7.
The proposed method allows to increase the yield of valuable short-length assortments in the form of plywood logs and to reduce wood losses during harvesting of measured valuable assortments and unmeasured assortments in the form of wood logs. The method can be used in a ripening or ripe birch forest, as well as during thinning and through cutting in mixed birch-spruce or other types of birch.
