Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the stone and metal processing industries, in particular to the textured processing of natural stone and metal.
- С.350).Known designs for solid polishing tools. Solid polishing tools differ from each other in the type of polishing powder (chromium oxide, aluminum, tin, diamond) and the type of binder (bakelite resin, rubber) or inorganic (magnesia) (Orlov AM Extraction and processing of natural stone. - M .: Stroyizdat, 1977 .-- P.350).
The most common among hard polishers are diamond polishers.
The disadvantage of a diamond polisher, like all other hard polishers, is the insufficient polishing quality of natural stone.
In addition, the polishing properties change during operation - the work surface is “greasy”; when the spindle is held in one place, burns occur on the surface of the stone; short service life.
These are abrasive tools in which structured abrasives are formed in several layers of abrasive grains. If a conventional sanding belt stops working when the grain wear is only 30%, the structured sanding belt works up to 100% wear, making the most of each new layer of abrasive elements.
The known design of a flexible structured sanding belt has the following components: small grains of abrasive with a binder are formed into pyramids of the correct form, rigidly connected with the fabric base. In addition, the composition of the composition includes chemicals that improve the grinding process.
This design as the closest in technical essence and technical result is taken as a prototype.
A disadvantage of the known design is that the performance of polishing decreases sharply over time due to the rapid wear of the vertices of the abrasive pyramids; the possibility of burns on the treated surface; insufficient life.
The basis of the invention is the task of creating such an abrasive by improving the well-known one, which would ensure the stability of polishing properties over time, the absence of burns on the surface that is being processed, and its extended service life. In addition, the new design of the abrasive should have wide functionality that would ensure polishing of hard-to-reach curved surfaces, etc.
The problem is solved as follows: grinding and polishing abrasive on a flexible basis, which consists of a flexible base, on which is placed a composite layer of structured abrasive formed in the form of cells of the correct shape, which are connected to the base, according to the invention additionally contains on a flexible basis reinforcing elements to ensure the adhesion of the abrasive to the base, and the cells are placed on the surface of the composite layer as a "honeycomb" structure, separated by recesses, predominantly curved shape. Flexible abrasive is made mainly in the form of a disk. The number of discontinuous cells is selected depending on the type of material being processed, and the recesses are predominantly trapezoidal in shape. The size of the recesses, depending on the type of material being processed, is from 0.5 to 10 mm.
The presence of discontinuous surfaces in the design that is claimed provides intermittent contact of the end surface of the composite abrasive layer with the surface that is being processed. The process takes place “dry” without the appearance of “greasy” and burns on the surface, which is polished. This became possible due to the fact that at the stage of dry processing there is an intensive removal of sludge from the treatment zone through the recesses. Thus, the temperature of the surface that is being processed is reduced. This, in turn, prevents the baking of this surface. Partial contact of the discontinuous surface of the composite abrasive layer with the surface that is being processed reduces the wear rate and increases its service life. The causal relationship between the essential in all cases essential features of the proposed solution and the resulting technical results provide new technical properties, allowing in combination with the known features to obtain technical results indicated in the task.
According to the information available to the applicant, the proposed combination of features characterizing the essence of the invention is unknown from the prior art, that is, the invention meets the criterion of "novelty."
The invention is illustrated by drawings, in which the same elements have the same numerical designations.
The drawing in section shows a General view of the grinding and polishing abrasive on a flexible basis. The abrasive consists of a flexible base 1, on which, using reinforcing elements 4, a composite layer 2 in the form of cells 3 is fixed. The cells are placed on the surface of the composite layer as a “honeycomb” structure, separated by recesses 5 of a predominantly curved shape.
5.The abrasive works on a flexible basis as follows: it is connected by a flexible base 1 with reinforcing elements 4 to the working surface of the grinder, and rotational movement is imparted. The working composite layer 2 in the form of cells of a "honeycomb" structure is brought into contact with the surface that is being processed, with a smooth increase in the load on the abrasive and moving it over the surface of the processed material. In this case, the abrasive component, which is contained in the cells 3 of the composite layer 2, performs layer-by-layer removal of the surface material that is being processed, and the formed slurry is carried out by centrifugal forces from the treatment zone through the recesses 5.

Because the invention meets the criterion of "inventive step".
