Abstract

SUBSTANCE: angular sofa-bed has two bases which are rigidly connected with their one side to elbow rests serving as supporting rests, and with their other side to third central base serving as supporting base. Upholstered parts of back and seats have tubular carcass with resilient lath-type members. Carcass of larger seat is pivotally connected to upper part of carcass of upholstered back member through pair of levers allowing upholstered back member to roll over seat by rotating around longitudinal axis to horizontal position on converting of sofa into bed. Angular sofa-bed has modular construction with similar bases and elbow rests attachment units allowing smaller and greater bases to interchange their places. Angular sofa-bed set may include at least two central angular bases, smaller or larger bases with backs and seats.

EFFECT: convenient usage, reduced weight and wider range of divisibility of angular sofa-bed.

Description

The invention relates to upholstered furniture, in particular to a corner sofa bed.

Famous corner sofa bed, USSR copyright certificate No. 1279601, class. A 47 C 17/36, 1984, containing a backrest, a base, soft elements set in a “sofa” position at right angles, one of which is stationary and the other is transformable and has a support leg and a means of transformation, including guides placed on the base and spherical bearings. This design of an angular sofa bed has such disadvantages as the complexity of manufacturing spherical supports, the wear of the guides as a result of sliding of the supports along them, as well as the relatively high complexity of moving the transformable base to the "bed" position.

The closest technical solution to the proposed invention, USSR author's certificate No. 1595450, class. A 47 C 17/36, 1988, is an angular sofa bed containing two rigid backs installed at right angles to one another, two rigid bases installed at right angles to one another, one of which is made shorter in length and has an internal cavity, soft elements. The additional base consists of two pivotally connected parts and is placed together with the soft element in the cavity of the smaller base. An additional soft element consists of three longitudinally articulated parts and covers the surface in the "bed" position. All soft elements of the back and bases are made equal in thickness. The back part consists of three connected parts.

The disadvantages of the prototype are:

1) lack of a free internal cavity for linen;

2) the inconvenience of folding it into the “bed” position, and vice versa, because you have to do 4 operations for this: you need to remove the additional base from the smaller base, rotate it 180 degrees, setting it horizontally, lower the soft element of the back of the smaller base, and then unfold the soft element of the back of the larger base and lower it onto the previously laid out smaller base;

3) the design does not allow to swap the smaller and larger bases of the corner sofa-bed, more harmoniously fitting it into the interior of the room;

4) massive structure.

The problem to which the invention is directed is to eliminate these drawbacks, i.e. to complete the design of a corner sofa bed lightweight, modular, with increased comfort and adaptability.

As a result of solving this problem, such technical results are achieved as:

1) reducing the number of operations to two when transforming the corner sofa into the “bed” position and folding the “bed” into the “sofa” position also in two operations;

2) weight reduction of an angular sofa bed due to the use of a tubular design of the bases, armrests, backs and frames of soft elements, as well as through the use of support armrests;

3) simplification of the design by reducing the number of soft elements and by using only the soft back element in the mechanism for transforming an angular sofa into a bed;

4) increase in structural strength due to the use of a steel welded tubular frame;

5) giving the corner sofa bed orthopedic properties through the use of lat (lamellas) and their location on the frame of soft elements across the bed;

6) the creation of a cavity for storing linen and the convenience of folding into the "bed" position due to the fact that the frame of the larger seat is pivotally connected to the upper part of the frame of the soft back element with a pair of levers that allow the back to roll around the seat, turning around the longitudinal axis to a horizontal position during transformation in bed;

7) design versatility.

With a larger number of modules 3, 4 and 13, it is possible to make an angular sofa bed of different symmetrical configurations (see Fig. 9 "c" and "d") or not symmetrical.
