Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of pattern recognition and can be used to input into the computer graphic objects of varying complexity of styles.
С. СССР №4866712.Known two-dimensional optical filters made in the form of non-derivative elements that perform the function of identifying the elementary area of a graphic object in order to recognize this graphic object. These filters are used in the invention according to A.S. USSR No. 4866712.
The “Optical mask for recognition systems” by A.S. USSR No. 535579. In the mask, which performs the function of an optical filter, the transparent part is made in the form of slots of various sizes, the combination of which repeats the shape of recognition of a graphic object. This device is the closest in nature and function to the claimed invention and is taken as a prototype. The disadvantage of analog and prototype is that with their help it is impossible to recognize graphic objects of arbitrary shape.
A set of optical filters is proposed, containing two-dimensional optical filters, characterized in that the filters are made in the form of geometric segments in an elementary recognition field, the first of which is located along the upper (lower), the second along the left (right) edge of the elementary recognition field, and the third and the fourth segments are located along the diagonals of the elementary recognition field.
The proposed object allows you to describe an arbitrary graphic image by a set of primordial elements of a given scale in order to encode the recognizable image in a two-dimensional alphabet and enter it into a computer system for subsequent structural and syntactic recognition of the object.
4.Figure 1 shows a set of optical filters, where 1 is an optical filter, 2 is an elementary recognition field, 3 is a light receiver. Figure 2 presents a recognizable graphic image, the grid shows a partition of the image placement area into elementary recognition fields, the size of which satisfies the given recognition accuracy. Figure 3 presents the image of a recognizable object encoded by the alphabet, consisting of a set of primordial elements, shown in figure 4.
3.A set of optical filters is applied to each elementary recognition field (Fig. 2). The appearance of the signal at the output of this filter indicates that in this elementary recognition field there is a fragment of the image corresponding to a particular original element (figure 4). The filtering results allow you to build an approximated image of the original image using the original elements, shown in figure 3.
The proposed set of filters allows you to describe a graphic object of any shape in a given topological recognition space with a minimum number of standards. The selected form of filters allows you to create continuous polygonal lines that do not have gaps and processes. At a fairly small scale, such lines are satisfactory images of the original curves to be displayed.
Optical filters can be, in particular, two-gradation masks or substrates with a photoconductor deposited on them.
