A similar problem arises when it is necessary to view or extract from a book standing on a bookcase. The disadvantage of the known device is the lack of technical ability to install a hanging shelf.

The objective of this utility model is to improve the convenience of working with the bookcase by increasing the working area of the bookcase.

The specified technical result is achieved by the fact that in the known bookcase containing racks and square shelves in plan, it additionally contains a shelf suspended on hooks to one of the shelves of the bookcase, each of which has two holes along each edge, the axes of which are perpendicular to the plane of the shelves, and the distance the axes of the holes from the edges of the shelf lie in the range from 1.5 to 3 shelf thicknesses.

Thanks to the holes at the edges of the shelves, the functionality of the bookcase expands, since this allows hanging shelves or tables to be firmly attached to the bookcase from any side.

Due to the fact that the axes of the holes are perpendicular to the plane of the shelves, the process of installing additional shelves is accelerated and facilitated by simply threading the fasteners installed on them into the holes.

Due to the fact that there are holes on each shelf of the bookcase, the functionality of the bookcase expands, since hanging shelves can be mounted at different levels of the bookcase.

Due to the fact that there are holes on all edges of the square shelves, the functionality of the shelf is expanded, since hanging shelves can be attached to all sides of the shelf. In addition, thanks to the holes, several shelves are easily assembled into a rack of a linear, U-shaped, Z-shaped or other shape, by fastening them with brackets that fit into the holes of the shelves.

The proposed shelf consists of shelves 1 and racks 2. The diameter of the holes 3 corresponds to the width of the hooks 5, which is determined by the need to impart sufficient rigidity and strength to the connection of the shelves. The holes 3 can have not only a round, but also an oval shape, and be made in the form of slits. In fig. 1 shows, as an example, hooks made of steel strip, Z-shaped, and fastened with screws to a hanging shelf 4.

If it is necessary to expand the area of shelf 1, the hooks of the additional shelf 4 are inserted into hole 3, and shelf 4 is aligned in the same plane with shelf 1.

The proposed shelf, in contrast to the closest analogue, allows you to expand the size of the shelf area to accommodate all the necessary equipment. Also, the design of the proposed utility model allows you to use the bookcase in both sitting and standing positions, since the design makes it possible to attach hanging shelves on each shelf of the bookcase, which regulates the installation height of the hanging table (shelf).

The proposed shelf can be especially useful at various exhibitions, which are characterized by the need to place a large amount of equipment, exhibits, materials on temporary structures that need to be brought and installed. Thus, this shelf can be easily modified if necessary. For example, exhibits are placed on the shelves, and handouts are placed on additional hanging shelves.

Another example of the useful use of this bookcase can be any space with a small amount of space, for example, a small office or an apartment, where this bookcase allows you to place all the necessary equipment (printer, scanner, telephone, etc.) on hanging shelves, with the possibility hang the shelves on different sides and on different levels of the bookcase.
