Abstract
Description
The invention relates to veterinary medicine and relates to external medicines that can be used to treat skin lesions and wounds in animals.
In livestock breeding, there is a problem of animal injuries, in particular, it is widespread in pig breeding, and therefore the problem of healing injured animals. Preparations intended for the treatment of skin and wound injuries should protect the wound from skid pathogenic microflora, have an anti-inflammatory effect, and during granulation and epithelialization of wounds should stimulate these processes and accelerate the filling of tissue defects with epithelial tissue, thereby reducing the healing time of wounds. Of great importance in the treatment of animals is the type of dosage form used.
A significant amount of known drugs intended for the treatment of injuries and wounds is available in the form of ointments, emulsions, solutions. The disadvantage of ointments based on fat is the incomplete penetration of active substances into tissues. Water-based drugs, which include syntomycin and streptocidal emulsions, loosen the granulation tissue, slowing down the process of epithelization and making the wound accessible to microflora. They are complex in composition, in their preparation and their long-term use is required for the complete healing of wounds. In addition, these funds remain inaccessible to veterinary medicine due to their high cost.
Ointments based on gel-forming components are also known. As a gelling agent in wound healing agents, either gelatin or pectin, as well as other polysaccharides, are used. So, it is known a means for treating wounds in the second phase of their healing, which includes methyl cellulose as a base [1]. This tool is quite difficult in composition. In addition to methyl cellulose, it contains a proteinase inhibitor as an active substance, a mixture of nipagin and nipazole as a preservative, glycerin as a plasticizer, and distilled water.
Closest to the claimed wound healing agent is a tool comprising a gelling agent and purified mummy, as an active substance [2]. As a gelling agent, the product contains either polysaccharides, at least galactomannan, or glucomannan, or alginic acids, or salts of alginic acids, or agar-agar, or hyaluronic acid, as well as gelatin, or pectin, or aerosil, or zeolites. The first variant of this product also contains distilled water.
The claimed invention is based on the technical task of creating a new wound healing agent available for veterinary purposes, that is, made from inexpensive and affordable raw materials and having high therapeutic and bacteriostatic efficiencies, which significantly accelerate wound granulation and reduce the healing time of skin and wound injuries in animals.
Поставленная техническая задача решается тем, что предложено ранозаживляющее средство, включающее метилцеллюлозу в качестве гелеобразователя, гуматы и экстракт элеутерококка в качестве активного вещества и воду дистиллированную, при следующем соотношении ингредиентов, мас.%:The stated technical problem is solved by the fact that a wound healing agent is proposed, including methyl cellulose as a gelling agent, humates and Eleutherococcus extract as an active substance and distilled water, in the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%:
3-5methyl cellulose 3-5
0,0085-0,025Eleutherococcus extract 0.0085-0.025
вода дистиллированная остальноеdistilled water the rest
The difference of the proposed wound healing agent for treating animals is the composition, which includes known substances that have found application in medicine and veterinary medicine, and the original ratio of these substances. Neither the composition nor the ratio of the ingredients were previously known.
So, humates - a mixture of highly purified humic substances with a high content of humic acids - have a bactericidal effect, the ability to positively change metabolic processes, increase the mitotic activity of cells. Eleutherococcus extract has a pronounced stimulating and tonic effect. Methyl cellulose, like humates, is a good sorbent. A convenient and effective dosage form is achieved by methyl cellulose. It does not clog pores, does not interfere with respiration and other natural processes that occur in the skin, and provides prolonged penetration of active substances into damaged skin.
The content of methyl cellulose in the proposed wound healing agent is 3-5 wt.%. With a lower methyl cellulose content, the product is liquid and flows from the wound surface. At a higher level, the gel is very thick, it is applied to the wound and is hardly distributed over the wound, when it dries, a thick crust forms, stretching the skin, which causes anxiety to the animal.
Thus, the physiological activity of each of the ingredients of the composition and their effect on wound healing processes are known. But it is important that the selection of ingredients for the composition and the selected quantitative ratios of them in the composition made it possible to create an effective wound healing agent in a dosage form convenient for veterinary medicine, the use of which reduces the time of wound healing in animals. Based on this, it can be concluded that the invention meets the criteria of "novelty" and "inventive step". In addition, the proposed ratio of ingredients is the most economical, and the ingredients themselves are inexpensive and affordable. A wound healing agent can be prepared using known means under ordinary conditions and, therefore, meets the criterion of "industrial applicability".
The invention is illustrated by the following examples.
1.Example 1
The wound healing agent was tested on intact white mice, with a live weight of 20-23 grams, divided into groups of 6 animals each. A skin defect of 100 mm in area was applied to the animals on the back. The animals from the control group were inflicted with identical skin defects, but the wounds were left untreated. One of the groups of animals received for treatment a mixture of humates and eleutherococcus inside, at the rate of 10 mg / kg of animal weight. In the remaining groups, a wound healing agent was applied to the wounds daily until signs of scarring appeared on them. As a wound healing agent, combinations with and without methyl cellulose, as well as with different contents of the active substance, were tested. As an active substance, mixtures of humates and Eleutherococcus extract were prepared.
[4].The dynamics of changes in the area of skin wounds was studied by the method of Popova [3]. The epithelialization rate was recorded by reducing the area of non-epithelializing sites using cellophanography. Statistical processing of the results was carried out according to the method of Oyvin [4].
1.The test results of the wound healing agent in mice are given in table. 1.
The best results were obtained in groups where a gel with a low content of humates and eleutherococcus was used as a wound healing agent.
2.Example 2
2.To study the healing process of wounds with moving (in the area of the puff) and motionless (from the outer surface of the auricle) skin, rabbits were used, divided into 4 groups of 5 animals each. The action of the wound healing agent was tested based on the best results obtained in mice, that is, a gel with a low content of humates and Eleutherococcus was used. The test results of wound healing on rabbits are given in table. 2.
3.Example 3
The proposed wound healing agent was tested on pigs. To compare the wound healing effect of the claimed composition with currently used medicinal analogues, a synthomycin emulsion was used, which is widely used to treat skin injuries and wounds in pigs.
3 groups of pigs were used, 5 animals each. Pigs were selected the same weight (40-45 kg). All animals from the outside of the thigh with trepans were applied skin wounds with a depth of 15 mm and a diameter of 20 mm. In two groups of animals, wounds were treated daily with wound healing agents, in one group, a gel with a low content of humates and Eleutherococcus extract was used as a wound healing agent, and in the other, a synthomycin emulsion. In the control group, the wounds were left untreated. The test results are given in table. 3, showed that the use of the claimed drug accelerates the healing of experimental wounds in pigs 5.2 days earlier in relation to the control, and when using synthomycin emulsion in the same mode, healing took place 2 days earlier than in the control group.
The proposed wound healing agent can be recommended for use in veterinary medicine. It is convenient to use, helps to reduce the healing time of wounds in animals. The tool is inexpensive and affordable.
