Description

The invention relates to sanitary equipment and is used to drain wastewater into the sewer.

There are many similar devices that ensure the discharge of wastewater into the sewer, control this process and prevent the penetration of gases from the sewer into the room using a hydraulic shutter.

Closest to the technical nature of the claimed device is a device for discharging wastewater for washbasins and sinks, containing an outlet with a baffle, a siphon consisting of a housing with a sump in its lower part, an outlet, connecting nuts and gaskets according to USSR copyright certificate No. 699125, MKI E 03 C 1/22.

The disadvantage of the closest analogue is the possibility of the appearance in the room of the bathroom or kitchen of the smell from rotting food residues and dirt in the sump. This smell in the form of gas bubbles with miasma rises through the inlet pipe of the siphon and enters the room.

The aim of the proposed device is to eliminate this drawback.

This goal is achieved by the fact that the device for discharging wastewater for washbasins and sinks, comprising an outlet with a partition, a siphon consisting of a housing with a sump in its lower part, an outlet, connecting nuts and gaskets, is equipped with an additional tubular siphon installed between the outlet and the specified housing whose internal cross section is smaller than that of the indicated siphon.

It should be noted that the internal section of the additional siphon is reduced in comparison with the internal section of the main siphon body.

The drawing shows the proposed device.

It is a prefabricated structure and contains a housing 1 with a sump 2 installed on the gasket 3, outlet 4 with a partition 5 provided with ribs 6. A nut 7 and a gasket 8 serve to fix the outlet in the sink. The outlet 9 is fixed by one of the nuts 10 and is equipped with a supporting washer 11, and between the outlet and the housing an additional siphon (tubular) 12 is installed.

The proposed device operates as follows. With the passage of wastewater in the sump 2, residues of food and dirt accumulate, which undergo rotting. The products of this process - gas bubbles with microbes - rise along the housing 1, but they cannot penetrate through the water column at level H in the additional siphon 12. Therefore, there will be no smells in the kitchen or bathroom. Due to the somewhat smaller cross section of the siphon 12, the water velocity in its lower bend is increased and food residues and dirt in it do not linger, getting into the sump, where the flow is slower.

Using the new design of the device will improve the sanitary and hygienic living conditions in the apartment.

A device for draining wastewater for washbasins and sinks, comprising an outlet with a partition, a siphon consisting of a housing with a sump in its lower part, an outlet, connecting nuts and gaskets, characterized in that it is provided with an additional tubular siphon installed between the outlet and the specified housing, whose internal cross section is smaller than that of the indicated siphon.
