Abstract
Description
The invention relates to aircraft and can be used in helicopter engineering.
Closest to the invention in terms of essential features is a device that compensates for the reactive moment of the rotor and consists of two longitudinal ridges mounted on the outside of one side of the tail boom of a single-rotor helicopter (US patent 4708305, IPC B 64 C 5/06, 27/06, 1987).
The disadvantage of this device is the low efficiency with a large construction height of the tail boom and an adverse effect on aerodynamic drag and longitudinal balancing of the helicopter at high speeds of horizontal flight.
The technical result of the invention is to improve the flight characteristics of a single-rotor helicopter by compensating for the reactive moment of the rotor of the helicopter in the hovering mode and low flight speeds, with minimal impact on the longitudinal balancing during horizontal flight at a significant speed, reducing the load on the tail transmission.
This task is achieved in that the device for compensating the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter containing longitudinal ridges mounted on the outer side of one side of the tail beam from the side of the advancing rotor blade of the helicopter is equipped with at least three longitudinal ridges. In hovering and low-speed modes, longitudinal ridges protruding above the surface of the tail boom provide separation of the inductive flow of the rotor from one side of the tail boom, which leads to a pressure difference between the right and left and the appearance of lateral force and moment, which seeks to compensate for the reactive moment of the rotor.
Figure 1 shows a device for compensating for the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter in a rectangular projection, side view; figure 2 is a view aa of figure 1; figure 3 is a diagram of the pressure distribution over the cross section of the tail boom while hanging without a device for compensating the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter; figure 4 is a diagram of the pressure distribution over the cross section of the tail boom while hanging with a device for compensating the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter.
A device for compensating the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter consists of an upper
A device for compensating the reactive moment of the rotor of a single-rotor helicopter operates as follows.
In hovering mode or low horizontal speed, the tail boom is streamlined mainly by the inductive flow of the rotor. The upper
After the helicopter accelerates to significant horizontal speeds, the tail beam is flown around only by a horizontal oncoming flow. In this mode, the ridges, having a non-zero angle of attack to the horizontal flow, create additional aerodynamic drag and torque, affecting the longitudinal balancing of the helicopter. Three ridges have a small span and are located in the most inhibited zone of the boundary layer, which in the area of the tail of the helicopter has a significant thickness during horizontal flight. Being in this zone leads to a minimal effect of ridges on aerodynamic drag and longitudinal balancing.
