 However, functionally any book, including electronic, is not intended to enter information, but only to read it. In addition, these devices are made in the form of a “diplomat case”, in the cover of which there is a liquid crystal display that displays information along the opening axis of the “diplomat”, while in the book the lines on the page are perpendicular to the axis of the opening of the book (spine). Since the user is accustomed to the traditional form of the book, it is necessary to execute the electronic book in the traditional form with the traditional (familiar) display of information.

 This device, selected as a prototype, has the following disadvantages. It can only display information contained on the medium (two pages, if it is text), because There are no controls in the device.  The technical result of the invention is to create an electronic book with a large amount of information on one medium and sequential reading of information while improving user convenience.  We will consider the functioning of the electronic book using several examples of its implementation (according to the formula).

 In the simplest case, an e-book contains two control buttons - "back" and "forward". When a corresponding disc containing textual information is inserted into a CD-ROM reader, the first and second pages of text are read and entered onto the screens, respectively. The user visually reads the information from a traditional book and "flips" the page with the control buttons "forward" or "back" 6 and 7.

 Since the CD can record up to 700 MB, several books can fit on one disc. In this connection, disks can be thematic - textbooks (all) from grades 1 to 5, the collected works of a certain writer, the theme of an encyclopedia, etc.

 In the embodiment, when the electronic book has an audio signal processing unit 18 with a sound reproducing device, it is possible to listen to information displayed on the screen (like karaoke). This is useful when learning the alphabet, a foreign language, etc.

 Since mostly textual information is displayed, which is updated after a visual reading (rarely enough), the processor 12 may have a fairly low clock speed. RAM 13 and ROM 14 also have a relatively small amount, because the number of programs is small - the conversion of text and / or sound information of signals received from the information input unit 16. Display unit 15, depending on the type of screens (polychrome or monochrome), has a negligible cost (in the latter case) and its execution is known, as well as any of the elements of an e-book.

 The advantages of the e-book are obvious: from forest conservation - the rejection of paper media - to reduce the physical load on students - you do not need to carry portfolios with all the textbooks. At the same time, the home library is reduced to one shelf with CD-ROMs.
